This movement favors “ecological sustainability (read: green collectivism), non-traditional spirituality (neo-pagan religion), civil rights (rights for all sexual expressions) and grassroots politics (non-democratic, non-governmental organizations working under the geo-political umbrella of the United Nations). They also distinguish themselves from “modernism” (secular humanism) and “traditionalism” (Christianity).

Their appearance is of immense historical and religious significance. They explicitly identify themselves as inheritors of the “values revolution [of] the Sixties [that] is still developing and maturing.”

They are the maturing fruit of a development that no one expected. We all thought the Sixties was an ephemeral social event driven by marginal drop-out hippies. Whoops, they dropped back in! In the Left Coast New Age spirituality we witnessed the first signs of a major religious and social revolution. Its conquering march through the institutions has established as normative a worldview of drug-aided mystical, neo-pagan spirituality, radical egalitarianism and total sexual license. The marginal cult has now morphed into a master plan, a full-blown all-inclusive spiritual worldview to transform every aspect of life on the planet. Obama is not the Antichrist but he could be America’s Antichrist if he gets elected. You have to understand who one of his big supporters and mentors is. New Age Oprah. Oprah believes we can all achieve Christhood. With her support of Obama you might already think that she believes that Obama has already achieved Christhood and has conveyed her judgment of that judgment to Obama. Now all we need is a European savior and a religious Savior (Rick Warren or the Pope might qualify) and we will be ready for the big event. The point being, if the world is now programed to pander to Obama as some inspired unifier of the World how much more are they ready to accept Satan’s man? America has never faced so many different crises at the same time in living memory. The war with al-Qaida and Islamic terror, the Iran crisis, Afghanistan, nuclear proliferation, the rising price of oil, the falling dollar, enemy acronyms like OPEC, NAM, OIC, U.N. … Obama is correct in saying that the world is ready for someone like him – a messiah-like figure, charismatic and glib and seemingly holding all the answers to all the world’s questions.

And the Bible says that such a leader will soon make his appearance on the scene. It won’t be Barack Obama, but Obama’s world tour provided a foretaste of the reception he can expect to receive.

He will probably also stand in some European capital, addressing the people of the world and telling them that he is the one that they have been waiting for. And he can expect as wildly enthusiastic a greeting as Obama got in Berlin.

The Bible calls that leader the Antichrist. And it seems apparent that the world is now ready to make his acquaintance.

I just want to make it clear to everyone that Tolle’s teaching in ” A New Earth” is totally contrary to the fundamental truths of Christianity and Christian Orthodoxy. It is Old Age and New Age paganism originated with the lie of the Serpent and man’s rebellion. It first reared its ugly head in force at Babylon. Those that embrace and promote Tolle’s satanic views are certainly in danger of eternal damnation.

In A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle contends that “no situation or event is ever really finished,” and the “only place of power” is the present moment. By avowing “no heaven, no hell, just now,” purportedly enlightened folks, as he, presume to wriggle free from accountability to a righteous God. In effect, these become self-proclaimed laws unto themselves.

This mindset is not new. Humanist Manifestos assert that false hope of “heaven hereafter” is unreasonable and, therefore, harmful.

Notwithstanding, secular and cosmic humanists alike actively reject and attempt to eradicate traditional theism. To Tolle, the sacred Name of God is attributed to a company of highly evolved masters (Jesus among them), each of whom claims transcendent consciousness and common divinity with all life—in Motulsky’s words, “fallible humans with total power.”

To dispute this fallacy, one need only recall the burning bush, through which YHWH revealed to Moses His Name, I AM that I AM. When Jesus ascribed to himself equal I-AM status, his captors fell backward under its power. It stands to reason that Jesus was either God Incarnate—the way, truth and life, as he claimed to be—or he was an unsurpassed liar. In either case, Jesus was not merely “a good man” or, as the case may be, “an ascended master” (Tolle’s assertion).

Not only does he demote the one whose name is above all names, Tolle promotes Self to “Godhood”—namely, the Source, Divine Life Essence, “formlessness” (or spirit). Unbeknownst to many New-Earth enthusiasts, his creed rehashes a spirit-channeled revelation of Theosophist-medium Alice Bailey, probably the most notable founder of contemporary New Age mysticism.

In Tolle’s misguided view, Christ is every man and woman. True, he references “universal law,” but Tolle ascribes the Ten Commandments as necessary only for those cut off from their own “I AM”-ness. Note that it was not Tolle, but rather co-Masonic Hierarch Alice Bailey who conceptualized and coined the term for this—namely, “Christhood.” This, my friend, exceeds folly. It is blasphemy. For such arrogance, even the angel Lucifer was cast in shame from heaven!

The Gospel according to Tolle further asserts that belief in Christianity as ultimate Truth serves ego by creating “an illusory sense of superiority.” Never mind that self-proclaimed “spiritual leader” Eckhart Tolle boasts his own pantheistic Self-deification! Although both opposing worldviews presuppose “union with the divine,” Christians alone bow the knee, acknowledge their sin and accept unmerited favor from a merciful, personal God to whom they remain accountable. In contrast, Tolle and followers grasp for themselves Godhood itself.

One of these two mindsets most certainly creates the “illusory sense of superiority,” but it’s plainly not the way of the Cross.

In Tolle’s world, when advanced, highly evolved humans seize “Presence power,” their consciousness shifts from the illusory “sweet by and by” to power-packed Presence. No longer are they hindered by the “mental idolatry” of blissful eternity with “our God.” They have instead come to accept their common divinity with all of Life. Having triumphed over matter by self-mastery, the fully “conscious” trade their tradition-bound “phantom selves” for their purported “I AM”-ness.

Achieving mastery qualifies awakened adepts to act as “Custodians of the Plan” and to watch over and even guide all of humanity’s spiritual progress. In so doing, these work hard to extinguish forces of darkness/evil—i.e., Jews and Christians. The desired outcome is for the old “Piscean Age” with its obsolete traditionalism to give way to an anticipated “Age of Aquarius,” marked by promises of peace, harmony and brotherhood.

Regretfully, “A New Earth” à la Tolle counterfeits the “real deal”—that being, the impending Millennial Rule of Christ on earth. In effect, Tolle’s “New Earth” exchanges the closest thing to utopia since the Garden of Eden for what the apostle Paul has aptly labeled an outright lie.

Then again, Tolle has his own take on sanity and wellness: To resist evolutionary emerging consciousness is plain-and-simple insanity, and to embrace traditional belief systems is to be unwell. Proclaiming “My God” or “our God” is what he demeans as “a mental idol,” thus making oneself “right” and others “wrong.”

In fact, Tolle predicts that rigid belief structures like biblical Christianity are destined to collapse.

In Tolle’s world, global unity is perceived as imperative to proper flow of the god-force. Once humanity takes a “quantum leap” to its higher destiny, mystical powers and psychic ability will flourish; however, the reluctant may need to be removed to a nonphysical dimension, where their karma can catch up before they are allowed back to the physical plane!

Tolle characterizes Christianity as divisive and prohibitive. This, he claims, creates “an illusory sense of superiority” not to be found in New-Earth consciousness, but then Tolle clearly distinguishes between the “conscious” and the “unconscious,” “the perfect” and the “not-so-perfect.”

Bottom line: There’s no need for pie-in-the-sky imaginings when biblical Christianity outright delivers in the here-and-now and also throughout eternity. The redeemed in Christ can bank on it, and “whosoever will” are invited

Political science professor Alan Wolfe, director of the Boise Center for American and Public Life at Boston University, says many people, despite their religious claims, “have no command of theology, doctrine or history, so it’s an empty religiosity.”

For those into Tolle’s recycled and refined New Age religion I want you to only imagine homonoeticus living forever in the Lake of Fire. What Mclaren teaches is not Christianity and I wish that Bible colleges and book stores would quit peddling his pagan delusions as something the church needs to learn about. We do not need to know these things any more then we need to know what was in the books that the early Church burned.

These religious perverts want us to believe that religion will unite on some higher plain where all paths lead to God through everyone looking inside themselves for some self deception. Brian McLaren’s newest book, Finding Our Way Again: The Return of the Ancient Practices, is the first in a series of eight books by Thomas Nelson publishers. The General Editor of the series, which is titled The Ancient Practices Series, is emerging church proponent Phyllis Tickle. Other authors in the series include Dan Allender, Scot McKnight, Diana Butler Bass and Joan Chittister.

In Finding Our Way Again, McLaren thanks several contemplatives like Richard Foster, Dallas Willard, and Joan Chittister. He also says he is “indebted” to Tony Campolo and Jim Wallis and recognizes Doug Pagitt and Tony Jones for teaching him contemplative practices. It is not surprising that McLaren thanks these listed teachers - McLaren has been in the emergent camp from the beginning of its inception, and where there is emerging, there is contemplative.

The interfaith theme is threaded through Finding Our Way Again. In one section, McLaren says that even Christian communion is something to be shared with people of all faiths (in particularly with the Jewish faith and Islam); he states that this “sacred meal” is a celebration of “inclusion” and “reconciliation” (p. 26). This makes a mockery of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who told believers to do this in remembrance of Him, acknowledging His atonement for sin - a mockery because the beliefs of other religions reject Christ as being God and the slain Lamb who could take away sin.

As do other emerging/contemplative teachers, McLaren believes in a literal global kingdom of God on earth before Christ returns that will incorporate all the world’s religions and all creation, a “world yet to be born” that “desperately” needs “these spiritual practices.” He also relates: “[T]hese practices” have “enlivened the three Abrahamic faiths” (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) and should not be “allowed to go extinct” (p. 29).

Finding Our Way Again emulates McLaren’s previous writings on atonement, on Jesus being the only way to God and salvation, on the return of Christ and on the last days. The difference with this book is that the emphasis is on how we can attain to this awakened state - through mystical practices. One chapter is devoted primarily to these contemplative exercises, but the entire book is seeping with its core message - “reconciliation with God, one another, and all creation in a global community” (p. 42).

In the last chapter of McLaren’s book, “Theosis (via Unitiva),” he sums up his calling by stating that “The purpose of the via purgativa [the practices] is to prepare us for the via illuminativa [the awakening], and the purpose of the via illuminativa is to prepare us for the via unitiva [all is one], the union of our nature with the nature of God” (pp. 171-172). He calls God “fire” and says, “We join God in being fire … Before the beginning … God was All, and All was God” (p. 175). This is the exact same message that Eckhart Tolle and Oprah are propagating. But while many Christians are now condemning Tolle’s message, they don’t realize that the very same message is permeating their very own churches. For those readers who care about the spiritual future of their children and grandchildren, it is vital they understand the meaning of McLaren’s spirituality in particular and the emerging/contemplative movement in general. We believe this is an extremely compelling motivation and should prompt us as believers to defend the faith and the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

“How do you know you have the right God?” - CWN

Here’s the promise of the gospel. Upon my repentance and faith in Jesus, my guilt will disappear. All of it. Not for lust only, but for all of my sins–for ingratitude, rebellion, greed, unbelief, lying, stealing, fornication, etc. All the guilt disappears upon repentance and faith in Jesus. Oprah can’t do that. The great religions can’t do that. Neither can Mormonism. No other god can wash away my sins, because no other god answered by the fire of His wrath and consumed the sacrifice. That happened 2,000 years ago when Christ died on the cross. God accepted His sacrifice.

All manmade religions still offer sacrifices. That’s the altar upon which they are built–the sacrifice of prayer, of giving money, of giving time, of doing good works, of doing penance, of fasting, etc. They have to sacrifice, because they still have guilt, because the conscience demands a continual sacrifice. Not so with Christianity. The guilt is removed because the sacrifice was accepted. Completely. And our guilt is dismissed through simple repentance and faith in Jesus. (Again, I’m not talking about a sense of guilt, but our actual condition–we’re no longer lawbreaking criminals before a holy God.) It’s so simple a child can understand it. Obey the gospel, and the guilt is replaced by absolute assurance of everlasting life. Death loses its sting . . . “and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

This article does a real good job putting Oprah’s New Age promotions, Word-Faith and postmodern “Christianity” in the same boat. Essentially they all are saying that we can create our own reality through our own thoughts, words or deeds because we are all part of the force. Rhonda Byrne and Joel Osteen may have significant differences, but the one thing they agree on is that “You are the Master of the Universe, and the Genie is there to serve you.” For Byrne the Genie is the Law of Attraction. For Osteen the Genie is God.

My reason for bringing up Word-Faith teaching is to show its similarities to the New Age movement. Actually, New Age movement is a tired old term. Devotees prefer “New Spirituality” or just plain “Spirituality.” Another term is Cosmic Humanism. No matter how you couch it, it’s Eastern mysticism.

New Agers outright reject the Jesus of the Bible and have adopted a Cosmic Christ. Who is this Christ? “In esoteric schools of thought, the Christ is considered to be a universal spirit or a cosmic force. The primary goal of this impersonal spirit or force is to guide the spiritual evolution of mankind.”[10]

As I brought to light in my article on ECM, New Agers are not the only ones who believe there is a paradigm shift taking place. Some Christians believe it, too. As a consequence “everything must change.”

How incredibly undiscerning! Janet Folger is now teaching us Word of Faith Theology. She obviously is a believer in heretical Dominion theology. The link will give you more of my take on that theology.

Folger implies that Jesus lost the keys of the kingdom of heaven and had to die to get them back from Satan.
What heretical nonsense. Jesus never lost the keys of the kingdom of heaven. What kind of God would lose his keys? The keys Jesus gave the Church is authority in the spiritual realm in the spiritual kingdom of heaven. Even Jesus has not yet bound Satan on earth and taken authority on the earth because the timing of that is set by the Father alone. There are some still to be saved out of this world before judgment and the earthly kingdom is set up.

If what Folger said was true why did not the 12 apostles just take authority, bind Satan and set up the earthly kingdom instead of letting the world kill them. Gee, we Christians could of had total control of the earth for almost 2000 years if they only understood things the way Word Faith preachers do. Why do not two Christians anywhere just bind all the forces of Satan on earth and establish dominion? Why don’t Janet Folger just get together with Kenneth Copeland and try it? Why are you blaming us that your own prayers are not getting answered? Jesus said it would only take two if Jesus really meant what you imply.

We have no dominion on the earth because we are sinners and cannot administer this earth with justice. Dominion does not mean ownership, God owns the earth. After man sinned God put the earth under the administration of angels until the justice and sin problem is taken care of. (Satan just happens to be the chief angel in charge watching over this creation and he continually reports our unworthiness to have dominion on the earth.)

The keys of the kingdom of heaven do not give us ownership of a world living in sin it gives us standing in the kingdom of heaven as priests to carry out the will of the King. Obviously God’s will is not to bring a world of sinners into the kingdom that He will establish on the earth.

What title deed to the earth is Janet talking about? God does not give out title deeds to His creation. Where in scripture anywhere does it say that man was given a title deed to the earth? Man did not lose something he never had and Jesus did not die for any title deed. Jesus already had the title deed of everything as the Creator. Jesus died for our sins not for fake titles. And Jesus did not then give some abstract title deed to the planet back to man only to have him lose the title by default back to Satan by Christians not doing what they should have. That is what many Word Faith preachers teach. Then they say the Latter Rain, New Wave anointed elite (themselves) have to come and confront Satan and take the title of earth back again and bring in the physical kingdom on earth before Jesus can even come back. This Kingdom Now, Latter Rain, Manifest sons of Destiny Theology is totally absurd. It is not Christian doctrine. It is loony.

Jesus taught us to pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven and we are still praying for that because God has not brought in the Kingdom on earth yet like it is in heaven. It is like praying for the peace of Jerusalem, you should pray for that end but you cannot bring it in before God’s own timing. Only when Jesus comes back will God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven and will there be true peace in Jerusalem.

Pslam 2:8 in context is talking about the Son of God, not Christians. He will give the nations to Jesus Christ but the timing is in the Fathers hands. Ripping it out of context as some promise to the betrothed bride that has not even been given gifts and awarded leadership positions and that are not yet fully prepared or fully completed in the body to be formally married to the King yet in the Father’s eyes is beyond presumption, it is arrogance. We will rule and reign with Jesus on earth when He is given David’s throne on earth and not before.

You asked what we have faith for? We have faith in the hope of Jesus fulfilling all His promises. We have faith that what we hear God tell us will be fulfilled, but we do not have faith to presume that your own wishes for the earth are from God. That is presumption.

Janet Folger said she would like to start by taking our own country back? She implies that Christians had dominion over America and lost it. She implies that the U.S. was a Christian nation. When was that? Do they not teach history in schools anymore? This nation had one wickedness after another throughout its history along with any good. In any case, you cannot take a nation back for Christ that was never won for Christ. I do not even know a city or a town that was totally won for Christ. In order to do that you would have to oppose all who do not see things your theological way. The world already has a history of cities, nations and empires trying to take it for their version of Christianity. Was that good? Is that what you are suggesting for America. A Holy American Empire with Word of Faith preachers ruling on the throne? I think I do not want to be part of that America. Their Jesus is too much like the Jesus of Oprah. So you better get your burning stakes ready for me.

Occupy to Jesus comes means to live here in the world in whatever state you find yourself in. It does not mean to take it over. Remember Jesus promised the Church persecution in the world not a national or world utopia.

Your whole premises is flawed and why would you need us to help anyway. You and Copeland can do it all yourself. After all, you claim if two or more ask for anything in Jesus name it will be done for you. According to your own theology nothing can stop you. So stop whining and get started!

Of course, Jesus said (essentially), “No deal.” Satan was running the place, but when Jesus took the punishment our sins deserved on the cross and rose again, Jesus “got the keys back.” He reconciled us to himself and handed them over to us as he said in Matthew 16:19:

And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

With the keys Jesus gave us, we have authority, responsibility, access and ownership. Which brings us back to “Plan A” in the first chapter of Genesis where God told us to “have dominion over & every living thing that moves on the earth.”

With the title deed and the keys we’ve been given, we now can take dominion as was the original plan and see God’s will be done “on earth as it is in Heaven,” just like we’ve been praying in the Lord’s prayer all this time.

So, here’s my question. Just what do you have faith for? Psalm 2:8 says: “Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possessions.” That sounds pretty good to me. I’d like to start with taking my country back. To “occupy” until He comes.

I’ve turned off the pundits to tap into the power. I want to know God’s heart enough to come into alignment with Him and start turning some keys and opening some doors. It’s time we take ownership and occupy the centers of influence and the areas of our culture Christians have vacated. It’s time we stop whining about how big the giants are and start coming back to “Plan A”: dominion. You have the keys. You have the title deed. What are you waiting for? Even the heaviest iron door doesn’t stand a chance.

Make no mistake about it Oprah and Tolle are setting the foundation for the coming persecution of true believers in Jesus Christ and Jehovah. Their satanic religion promotes the removing of all those who will not become part of the One universal consciousness. They will intend to kill us for the sake of their satanically inspired community and think they will be doing us and the world community a favor by doing so.

This teaching is not new. It has always been the teaching of New Age for many decades. Tolle and Oprah have just used their influence to popularize it under a new cover. It has always been their answer for any Rapture as well. They will say the collective mind just removed the “Neanderthals” from the earth so the “spiritually enlightened” could evolve into a higher consciousness and bring utopia on the earth.

There will soon come a day soon when those deceived by people like Oprah and Tolle will get to carry out their plan. If you look at all of what else is going on globally to set the stage for these global agendas you should understand that it it will all happen in the lifespan of this generation.

More importantly, by undermining individuality as in the case of Hinduistic New Age spirituality (atman is brahman) by claming that we are just a temporary cellular manifestation of the One Consciousness, when the time comes those accustomed to this mindset won’t have all that much of a problem with mass roundups and ultimately executions of those doing nothing more that questioning the worldview of those holding power. Besides, doing such really wouldn’t be wrong (a concept itself outdated and bigoted since transcendent absolute standards don’t exist anyway) since distinct individuals don’t really exist and by hastening their return to the universal consciousness one may in fact be doing them a favor by expediting them onwards towards their next incarnation.

There is no question by what the Pope said that the Pope wants a global government. He wants the UN to rule the world, of course with his religious guidance. The globalists largely create the international problems and then they deceive you to believe that they are the solution to them.

Once we have binding international rules like the Pope wants you will have a fascist world that will be ready for the one who takes the place of Christ on earth (Antichrist). It won’t be this 81 year old Pope but I would not rule out the next as being the Antichrist or his false prophet.

On Monday night, Winfrey conducted her weekly Web “event” seminar with New Age writer Eckhart Tolle. His message: “Life is the dancer and you are the dance.”

The seminar was No. 7 in a series of 10. On the first 90-minute Webcast with Tolle, Oprah extolled the author’s virtues, calling his best-selling “New Earth” book “one of the most important books of our time,” the seminars one of “the most exciting things I’ve ever done.”

Imagine that Winfrey considers her conversations with Tolle, a man with a shady and un-checkable background, more important than her schools in Africa and Mississippi for underprivileged children, more important than her Angel Charity network or her zillion-dollar syndicated TV show. Tolle must be something else!

But it’s not like Winfrey is endorsing Maya Angelou or Toni Morrison, serious, educated artists with portfolios. Tolle is more like Kilgore Trout, Kurt Vonnegut’s science-fiction crackpot alter-ego.

The Bible says that doctrines of demons would be taught and believed in the last days. This worldwide paradigm shift to pagan thought just proves that we have arrived. Woe to the people that are teaching others this satanic deception.

There is nothing divine in self unless you got it from the Jesus that died on the cross and rose from the dead and is sitting on the right hand of God.

It’s the old idea that religions are the same and there are many paths that lead to God. She also romanticizes the notion that God can be whatever you want him/her/it to be. She celebrates the full sweep of isms. She blends everything into one big mush of warm fuzzies and group hugs for all! Why do people embrace this stuff? I’ve written about this way of thinking (or, not thinking) before. Here are some of my thoughts:

A remarkable trend has developed in our nation over the past several decades. We have moved from respect for the diverse and multicultural makeup of society (which is important), to an insistence that all religions representing this diversity be treated as equally true. What drives this idea? Is it fear of the religious imperialism our Founding Fathers rejected? Certainly the alternative should not be a type of tolerance which does not allow true rational debate. This is not what the Fathers had in mind.

Oprah believes there are many more paths to God other than Christianity. Eckhart Tolle who is promoted by Oprah thinks the current awaking will bring us into the universal consciousness, “A New Earth” where your collective identity will be “I Am” (the name of God).

Oprah is being watched by Christians like she has truth and Eckhart Tolle’s book “A New Earth” is big among “Christians”. Eckhart Tolle says unless you have this shift in consciousness and stop resisting this collective consciousness you will not enter the New Earth which is a physical manifestation of the New Heaven (that leaves out all Bible believing Christians).

Need I say anything more. I do not know how we can make it any more clear to Christians that what is being taught and promoted on Oprah is doctrines of demons. Many “Christians” are taking part in the very deceptions that Paul warned us would come in the last days that would lead people into the end time Apostasy. Can it be any clearer that this universal God conscious religion of Eckhart Tolle and Oprah is from Satan? My question to those who call themselves Christians and still watch Oprah, is why? Do you think you will get light from her darkness?

Where do you think all this rethinking in the emerging church movement is originating from? I have to say to those who watch and repeat the deceptions seen on Oprah, if you can be that biblically illiterate and that easily led astray by doctrines of demons to follow another gospel, what makes you think you are a Christian? Or is “Christianity” just a convenient name for your demonic spirituality like Oprah?

It is no coincidence that Oprah is supporting Obama who has the same spirit of universalism. They both really worship the god of this world. Oprah believes that all ways lead to God or that we are all part of God apart from accepting Jesus the creator of the universe, the only possible savior.

The world is experiencing an invasion of doctrines of demons and it is coming through media, political leaders, and “Christian” religious leaders. This apostasy from the true faith to doctrines of demons was predicted for the end times. It is a sure sign that we are have arrived in the very last days. We are now being set up for the universal world religion that will then begin to persecute true Christians and set the stage for the Antichrist.

The facts are clear that Oprah has rejected true Christianity to promote a satanic counterfeit. It should be clear from who her fame, power riches and influence originates.
