The bird flu is still a future disaster waiting to happen. The threat of a world pandemic has not gone away

GENEVA (Reuters) - The risk of a human influenza pandemic remains real and is probably growing as the bird flu virus becomes entrenched in poultry in more countries, health officials warned on Tuesday.

Some 150 experts are attending a meeting hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to update its guidance to countries on how to boost their defences against a deadly global epidemic.

This might be something to keep in mind. There are now weaponizing bugs. It almost sounds like this could have something to do with the fulfillment of Rev 9:10. More likely the Revelation event is all super national but if weaponized hybrid bugs are developed by man there is a remote possibility that what comes out of the smoke may have been first developed by man.

The Agency’s Microsystems Technology Office is hard at work on HI-MEMS (Hybrid Insect Micro-Electro-Mechanical System), raising real insects filled with electronic circuitry, which could be guided using GPS technology to specific targets via electrical impulses sent to their muscles. These half-bug, half-chip creations — DARPA calls them “insect cyborgs” — would be ideal for surveillance missions, the agency says in a brief description on its website.

The Bible say that there will be pestilences in the end times. We can now see how easy that can now take place on earth in our times. One year everything is fine and then wham..something like the bird flu hits and all human interaction on the earth suddenly changes.

“That is the big threat here. If you have more and more of these cases, you will automatically magnify the problem by having transmission going on to other individuals … Once they become infected they are sort of a time bomb,” he said.
“If this is kept unchecked and goes on, then you may also see an apocalyptic scenario where the present epidemic of TB is replaced by an epidemic of TB which is now fully resistant to everything,” he added.
In such a situation, the toll could be massive. Currently 8.8 million people each year develop normal TB, a bacterial infection (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) that usually attacks the lungs. It already kills 1.6 million annually, WHO said.
“The possibility is that you could replace that epidemic with a drug-resistant epidemic, in other words you could have 8 million cases of drug-resistant TB wandering around. And then you will be back to the pre-antibiotic era,” said Nunn.
“We really now have to focus on problems of infection control. We can’t allow drug-resistant MDR or XDR to get into populations of HIV-infected people,” he added.

It sounds to me like this new drug resistant TB could be one of the end time pestilences spoken about in Bible prophecy. If this TB gets into the HIV infected population it could spread worldwide in a decade for obvious reasons.

Dr Patrick Dixon, an international lecturer on biological trends, warned: ‘Many silent viruses could create a biological nightmare in humans. Mutant animal viruses are a real threat, as we have seen with HIV.’”

This practice could bring the killing of many people through great pestilences and through the beasts of the earth that is prophesied in Revelation.
