The West needs to see the present world realities

It’s time that people in the West opened their eyes to the present world realities that they live in. The present economic threat to the West is caused by socialism, living beyond one’s means, high energy prices and trading with China. The present military and stability threat to the West is Islam. The primary religious threat to the West is not Islam, it is secular humanism, religious pluralism and New Age spirituality.

Most in the West will learn to find a job if the West stops paying people to do nothing, and stops giving people entitlements that they have not earned. The icing on the cake for not giving a lot of unearned assistance is that immigrants that will not assimilate into our Western Nations will either try a little harder to fit into the native societies and become more productive citizens or they will go back to where they came from.

We have high energy prices because control freaks and environmental wackos wanting global governance have succeeded in brainwashing our gullible people. The other main reason for the high energy prices is that Western Governments have allowed their respective countries to be held hostage by an oil cartel that is mostly hostile toward the West. If government regulation, environmentalists, federal judges and OPEC would get out of the way, we would have energy for less than half the cost that we pay today.

If we had fair world trade, China would not have half the manufacturing capability in the world and people in the West would have millions more jobs.

If the West were in a war like World War II, we would not be having many of these problems. People would work. Those that hate us would be rounded up. Environmentalists would be muzzled. Energy would be developed in the name of national security or seized and we certainly would not be depending on China to meet our manufacturing needs. Yet, if we continue on the path that we are now taking, the realities will be that conditions will deteriorate in the West to worse than they were for most during World War II.

Here are some actions that I think the West needs to take before our idealist unrealities actually destroys our Western Societies:

Elect leaders that actually understand the problems and that have realistic common sense solutions. People like Geert Wilders  and Sarah Palin come to mind.

Balance our budgets by eliminating as much socialism and restrictive government regulations as is possible. Get rid of all CO2 regulations and Big Brotherism. Decentralize as much as possible and turn these functions over to local governments.

In the United States, get rid of the IRS and go to a truly flat tax or a consumption type sales tax.

With over 17 percent of the United States GDP going to medical care (this is double the percent of other developed nations) the US needs to get rid of Obama Care and most medical insurance plans. The government and insurance layers of administration double the costs of most visits and procedures. We need to go back to paying directly to the provider for most medical treatment. (Catastrophic health coverage should be available to all at reasonable rates and on a sliding scale for the poor.)

Identify Islam as the grave and present danger that it is to the West and contain it by any means necessary, much like we did with Soviet Communism. Combating the spread of Islam should become the major focus of NATO and homeland securities. Remove Turkey and Pakistan from NATO and add Israel and India.

Establish a NATO doctrine that says that vindictive cuts in production of oil or conspiracy to raise prices by production cuts by any group of oil nations against the West will be regarded as hostile action against the West and they will be dealt with accordingly. (The West can seize oil wells and ships if that becomes necessary. After all, the West developed almost all oil in the Middle East. They should not be biting the hand that fed them.)

Allow and enable private enterprise to develop energy resources by removing unreasonable restrictions to the development of oil, shale oil, natural gas, and coal. Energy development should be a matter of national security and it should be exempt from certain environmental laws until we have achieved energy independence.

Tell China that their imports from Western NATO Nations will have to be within ten percent of their exports to each respective nation or they can expect to be tariffed by that nation.

People in the West need to be schooled in reality. People need to be told that world history proves that man is yet to make a long-term working society so what we have now in the West is only a holding action against what seems to be almost unrestrained evil in many nations. Western nations need to reconsider the Christian message that most of our Western Nations were founded on, as evidenced by the symbol that is still displayed on most of their flags.

  1. Sounds good, but those who are being deceived seem to love it so. Black is white and wrong is right. It’s an upside down world.

  2. Don,

I agree firmly 100% on “actions the west needs to take” to save the sinking ship.

I think if we didn’t have corrupt used car salesman career politicians in all levels of office, I think it would be done already.

  3. Imho, there’s a reason Jesus spoke a lot about money. So, I would just add that a change to incorporate sound monetary policy (gold standard or competing currencies) that doesn’t enable and encourage deficit spending (bad fiscal policy) and the current fractional reserve banking system (easy credit) we currently have would make a big difference in the lives of average men and women. Our current fiat system is a system that only thrives on debt and consumerism, not savings, thrift and charity.

  4. Angela , you nailed it , right on the button . BLESSINGS to YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Don ,
Like Angela you nailed it , but HOW in this political environment do we get there. Abolish the
EPA would be a good start. I have always wanted a constitutional amendment to give the 50 state
governors veto power over Congress, The President and ALL Federal Court ruling. I know that’s
a radical position. America is in God’s hands , only HE can save this country. I know your position on 2 Chronicles 7 : 14 , but I think there is a spititual principle there that applies
to America as well. The Church needs to start being who we are called to be. Good Article on your part , well said . BLESSINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Don ,
Any specific thoughts on the current debt crisis in Europe , specifically Greece, Spain , Italy
Portugal ?? This situation seems to have a big effect on the stock market on Wall Street. You
are looking more and more correct on a Mediterran Union being the final form or final phase of
The End Time Roman Empire. The EU in it’s present form may well collapse and the euro as a currency may not survive. Just my thoughts.

  6. Don,

The thoughts I have on the current debt crises in Europe is that it will lead to a superstate in order to either prevent the collapse or the collapse will bring such turmoil in Europe that someone will rise up to create a superstate.

I think we will see a superstate in West Europe, North Africa and the Middle east on much the same borders of the Roman Empire at its peak and it will be to the borders of the old Roman Empire within a decade or two.

The economic crises will not be the only crises that will shape this superstate. The native backlash against Islam after a few new terrorist attacks and related civil and foreign war will also help bring this about.

  7. Don,

I say this here because you mentioned her in this article and it does speak volumes for the western leftist media…or I should say the free speech disaster that is the left.

A writer that moved next door to the Palin’s, Joe McGinniss, has blatantly done everything he could to discredit Sarah Palin and her family with lies and assumptions…and it’s actually coming out in a book, “The Rogue”.

I believe the left is terrified of Sarah Palin, so they resort to these lowly & subversive tactics.

  8. Don,
What we see today in the world is satanic preparatory for the Anti-Christ to come on the scene and false rescue the world from financial destruction.

The mood is everyone is looking for a leader that can fix everything.

  9. Hi Al,

Actually I think the financial collapse will happen some years before the Antichrist comes with answers to all the problems of the world.

  10. My speculation is that some day Ron Paul may be successful in getting the Fed to open the vaults so the gold can be audited. NYT and HuffPo reporters will be eagerly watching so they can humiliate him with pictures of stacked bars of gold.

What will happen to the shocked country when all they find are IOUs? Will the NYT and HuffPo print pictures of cobwebs and dust.

Again, this is only my speculation. I did not hear this at Timothy’s School of Tax Preparation.

  11. Hi Don,

I am working a lot these days and haven’t had a chance to respond to your articles. Praise the Lord for the work. I beleive that Humanism is the religion of the west. It isn’t mentioned at all or even known by most, but it is taught in our schools and is constantly reinforced by the media. It has invaded our minds on so many levels. It seems apparent to me that to most people it is their religion whether they realize it or not. It is very sad.

Even beleivers are greatly influenced by Humanism and don’t even realize it. Many Churches have humanism as what they teach on many different levels, perhaps unknowingly as it has invaded the minds of most in the US. Humanism is just what many people beleive in, many may say they are Christians and they very well may be beleivers, but their religion is Humanism.

It makes me sad and no one wants to hear about it. And if you say anything they have no idea what you are talking about and seem to beleive you are outdated and need to catch up with the times.

    Your thoughts sir?

  12. Hi Arkansas David,

Glad to hear that someone is still working and paying the taxes that will pay the bills around here.

I agree, humanism it the polar opposite of Christianity. Man becomes the highest order in existence and thus becomes the definer of God.

If you throw in humanistic natural evolution into the humanism it also leads to humanistic spiritual evolution where man becomes the collective consciousness or God force. The religions that best reflect that is Hinduism were all is God (pantheism). The western counterpart is called New Age or New Spirituality. Many other religions are some bastardization of that including most of what is called Christianity. The only God many so called Christians know is the one they made up in their own mind.

Yes humanism, Hinduism and New age have replaced Christ centered agendas with anti Christ humanistic agendas in many of our churches and you can see it in their SELF centered social, philosophy and psychology based programs rather than Christ centered programs. The Apostasy or departure from the one true faith is upon us rapidly being replaced by worldly philosophies and the all paths and the universalism taught in “Christian” mega churches and mega books and that is scarfed up by inward looking “Christians” is the proof.

  13. Don and David,

Isn’t a lot of what you both said due to human pride and defiantly not submitting in servitude to the Living God ?

  14. I think what I’m about to say is going to be disagreed with & chastised, but here goes…

I keep hearing on Christian radio, secular radio, and even Don’s blog here…all these political solutions to the U.S. problems.

I disagree, I don’t think any elected official is going to make a difference. I keep hearing that government should do this, do that, lessen their hold of power on ‘X’, taxes etc.

I think it’s the system that needs to change but government is not going to lessen their power regardless of who’s elected. Government will continue to save their own skin as we see in these “government shutdown” fiasco’s without regard to the tax payer.

There will not be a ‘by the people, for the people’ from here on out…it is by the government, for the government.

I think this nonsense of looking for an elected official in any branch to save this sinking ship is absurd.

Now, if the people were able to totally restructure the government (which will never happen), and make them truly servants to their communities, term limits, restrictions on frivolous spending etc…sure, then we would have something…but as we’ve seen, these elected officials are used car salesmen who are only concerned with getting re-elected, pandering to their economic & political affiliates, and little else.

Humanity has proven over and over again in history that he is incapable of governing over others without greed and self interests.

The only solution is to look to the Lord Jesus Christ, only he will establish a righteous kingdom.

  15. David ,
I think you nailed it. It is difficult for me to see any person in either political party that I want to be President. The only maybe would be Gov. Christie of New Jersey who says he is not a candidate. I see Ron Paul as the best choice among the declared candidates. With as much division as there is in Congress the President cannot really do much anyway. I see a total economic collapse as the most immediate and most likely danger. The system will eventually collapse under it’s own weight because the current spending levels cannot be sustained indefinitely, then I expect all hell to break loose and martial law will be declared and many
will die. There are a lot of law abiding gun owners who expect this and have been stockpiling ammunition for months. Anyone who tries to take their stuff will get shot. There will not be enough police officers to maintain order and vigalante groups will form .

  16. hey Don, just thought i’d post this here since it’s your latest commentary on the West and current events:

    http://ca.news.yahoo.com/russias-putin-says-wants-build-eurasian-union-222139037.html

“MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said he wants to bring ex-Soviet states into a “Eurasian Union” in an article which outlined his first foreign policy initiative as he prepares to return to the Kremlin as the country’s next president.”

  17. Thanks,

I have been saying all along that Putin intends to put together another union. This time it will be fascist.

  18. Interesting on Putin.

Apparently, as I learned from the Hal Lindsay show, his current position of PM is just in name only as he is actually running the show until he can officially take over again as President.

  19. @~David: Mr. Lindsay is certainly correct. Putin has been running the show for a long time, it just seems that now it is all coming together for him in a big way.

    also: http://www.thenewamerican.com/world-mainmenu-26/europe-mainmenu-35/5768-russia-resurrects-soviet-era-kgb

“As if news of the restoration of the Soviet Union through the new Customs Union was not alarming enough on its own, Britain’s Telegraph recently reported that Russia’s ‘domestic FSB security service is trying to subsume the SVR foreign intelligence service in order to recreate a latter day KGB in all but name.’”

i know ya’ll already do this, but keep all eyes open!! the world is definitely gearing up.

  20. Reading Angela’s post reminded of the restoration of the Jewish Temple (3rd Temple).

Many things seem to be coming together.

I wonder if the 3rd Temple restoration will create an explosive environment that results in the War of Psalm 83.

  21. Gilad Schalit is home in Israel.

I am so happy for him…it comes at quite an expense, but I think we can be happy for him and Israel.

  22. ~David,
I am happy for him and his family. I am not happy that Israel decided to trade a thousand terrorists for one soldier. I think nothing has changed in the Jewish thinking. Israel still is trying to appease people that cannot be appeased. That is why they will continue to have war.

  23. Don ,
I join you in being happy for the Israeli soldier and his family. It is not for me to say if Israel made a good decesion. You are so correct that trying to appease or negoiate with their enemies will never work for Israel and will provide no security. My comfort in this situation is that Our God has the trump card, He declares Israel is the “Apple of His Eye . ” When He finally decides to act I hope it brings many to belief in Him. There is no reason to rejoice for the fate of those who will not accept His grace which is free , but not cheap. BLESSINGS!!

  24. Don F & Don K,

Yeah, I agree, it is quite a steep price to free terrorists who had life sentences…who will likely go back to their “ways”…and the danger that Palestine will try to up the ante’ and try to abduct more Israeli’s to get their terrorists freed.

There is, of course, no appeasement possible, regardless of what Israel does.

  25. The Vatican is now proposing a one world central bank. What a clever and original thought. I wonder where they think it should be located and who they propose to run it?

That will certainly solve the Eurozone debt problems.

  26. Follow up on Bob’s comment , The Vatican proposes a world tax on all financial transactions and consolidating control under a world authority. I bet they think The Jesuits should run the bank.

  27. I do not think much is going to be adopted by the nations of the world until the big economic and civil breakdowns and the world war with the radical haters in Islam and elsewhere change nations and religious order to a pluralistic religious world Harlot that is in bed with the kings of the earth.

After that, Katti-bar-the-door. The control freaks will tell you how much you can weigh, what you can say, and the tax that you are required to pay to live. The kings will get their moral authority through these religious pompous asses who love wearing their flowing robes and lecturing religious pluralism and Universalism from the “Holy SEE” and from behind Mega pulpits.

The religious elite will help brainwash the mob and demonize true Bible believing Christians and the Jewish minority. Then it will be about time for true believers in Christ to leave a world that is not worthy of us and to shake the dust off of our feet as we fly away and turn the Gospel agenda over to the two prophets and the 144,000. Whom will be given the power to deprogram all those that can be deprogrammed with a tough love program shoved down the throats of the all-knowing religious asses of the earth.

    Then the end will come.

I say all that to say that phase one could start anytime now.
