Some Pentecostals need to quit acting like stupid children and grow up!

Carla at “More Books and Things” put together a nice set of links about Todd Bentley and what is going on in the loony movement in Lakeland Florida.

My opinion is that Bentley is either a con artist, demon possessed or is mentally ill. Take any selection that works for you. This unbelievable bozo even has a angel named Emma? There are no angels named Emma. Angels are always masculine. So believe me Emma is no angel and Bentley is no spokesman for God. This clod is saying that when he got sucked up to heaven God told him we are hindering God from healing us?… continue reading

The Journey into Apostasy

Carla at “More Books and Things” put together some good information and links on modern day false prophets such as Rick Joyner, Bob Jones, Mike Bickle, Paul Cain, and Benny Hinn. She also mentions and has links on Todd Bentley’s book “The Journey into the Miraculous” and Carla lets us find out what Jim Goll is saying. This is really pretty twisted stuff.

Like I have indicated before, the spiritual deception is not just coming from New Age teachers like Oprah. It is coming from the Emergent leaders and Word-Faith. You need to read the article and follow the links to begin to understand how fast this journey into apostasy is taking shape.… continue reading

Oprah, Word-Faith and postmodern Christianity shifting to the dark side

This article does a real good job putting Oprah’s New Age promotions, Word-Faith and postmodern “Christianity” in the same boat. Essentially they all are saying that we can create our own reality through our own thoughts, words or deeds because we are all part of the force. There is way too much good information in this article to just read my snippet of it so if you want to know all about this paradigm shift to the dark side, read Marsha West’s article.

Marsha West — Oprah Shifts to the Dark Side

Rhonda Byrne and Joel Osteen may have significant differences, but the one thing they agree on is that “You are the Master of the Universe, and the Genie is there to serve you.”

Janet Folger says stop whining and take dominion of the earth

How incredibly undiscerning! Janet Folger is now teaching America Word of Faith Theology. She obviously is a believer in heretical Dominion theology. The link will give you more of my take on that theology.

Folger implies that Jesus lost the keys of the kingdom of heaven and had to die to get them back from Satan.
What heretical nonsense. Jesus never lost the keys of the kingdom of heaven. What kind of God would lose his keys? The keys Jesus gave the Church is authority in the spiritual realm in the spiritual kingdom of heaven. Even Jesus has not yet bound Satan on earth and taken authority on the earth because the timing of that is set by the Father alone.… continue reading

Give your cash to TBN hucksters so God can bless you?

I love Steve Camp’s reasoning here.

Is God Short of Cash?: The Myth of the Prosperity Gospel – CWN

I was on a famous Christian TV show several years ago before their demise. During a ‘commercial’ break, the host of the program told me if I would give $100 to his ministry the Lord would give me back $1,000… I asked him politely, “Sir, where does it say stupid written on me?” He was a bit shocked and asked me, “don’t you believe that the Lord will bless you by giving your money to our ministry?” I told him, “No way”; and that furthermore he didn’t even believe such a thing.

Parsley on everything?

Since John McCain kissed up to Parsley on everything even though Ron Parsley is one of the worst Word Faith heretics in existence. I thought I would link to a good article on the nonsense that Parsley preaches to his huge Church and TV audience.

I would not want anyone to think that McCain actually linked with true Christian conservatives by speaking at World Harvest Church in Ohio. The most that McCain would find there is Christian garnish that goes along with the Parsley. Not that McCain knows the difference between Christian teaching and tickle the ears garnish spreading of Word Faith teaching.… continue reading

The Church should police its own

Government is going after them because the Church will do nothing to police its own. Word Faith prosperity teachers should be shunned as heretics. Any TV network and Radio network who airs their programs should be dealt with severely by the denominations. Those ordained ministers who help support networks that broadcast Word Faith heretical teaching should be subject to being defrocked.

Having said that, the prosperity message is popular because many Christians are greedy for material gain. It really reflects the state of Christianity in America.

Feds Need to Cage Every Crooked Evangelist Going – J. Grant Swank Jr. – Mar 14, 08

Jesus would never sanction what today’s evangelists—especially those on TV—are saying and doing.

Pantheism is rapidly replacing Secular Humanism

The postmodern generation is shifting into the belief that they can create their own humanistic utopia by just harnessing collective powers. Man creates His own reality. That’s “The Secret”, The “Word of Faith” movement, it is postmodern thought moving into the Emerging Church and it all originates from Eastern thought where God is everything.

Collectively mankind becomes God and all religions are paths to cosmic consciousness.

The distinctions between the children of light and the children of darkness on the earth are becoming well defined in these last days. One family on earth claims to be children of God because of what God did for them and the other family claim to be self evolving god’s.… continue reading

Biblical texts often taken out of context by prosperity teachers and others

Three biblical texts that are often taken out of context by health, wealth and prosperity teachers

A TEXT TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT, IS A PRETEXT FOR PROOF-TEXT

Here are three of the most taken out of context, misplaced, misapplied, misappropriated, and misinterpreted Bible verses that we hear. All three of these verses are found in Matthew 18:18-20; all three of these verses have to do with church discipline; and all three of these verses can mean only one thing in their proper context. Let’s take a look…

Is there a New Apostolic Reformation or an old deception?

I came across this excellent article today about “The Roots and Fruits of the New Apostolic Reformation”, by Bob De Waay. It is about how the Latter Rain movement morphed into the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR).

Christians need to know the truth about these self appointed anointed and other Christians need to separate from these leaders bringing them into Apostasy.

One thing I have found out for myself over the years is that when certain leaders claim Apostolic positions and special prophetic anointing from God they are always lying.

Fresh Fire guru interviews Jesus in heaven

Wow! look at this. This guy claims to do interviews in heaven with his own version of Jesus. These Fresh Fire people need to be totally roasted by Flamethrower. Seriously why do these people have a following and why are they on Christian TV? I think some in Christianity are candidates for a padded  room.

For three days this week, Todd Bentley of Fresh Fire Ministries (freshfire.ca) has been interviewed on a well known Canadian Christian T.V. program called It’s a New Day. As I watched the last day, on their website (Thursday, January 24th, Todd Bentley Testimony – part 3 of 3), I thought, hmmmm…this sounds familiar.

Sex Scandal Rocks Atlanta-Area Megachurch

Another heretical “Word-of-Faith”, “Kingdom Now” leader bites the dust.
http://www.apologeticsindex.org/150-earl-paulk

When are people going to learn to follow the teachings of the Bible instead of these self anointed and often perverted men and women?

FOXNews.com – Sex Scandal Rocks Atlanta-Area Megachurch – Local News News Articles National News US News
DECATUR, Ga. — The 80-year-old leader of a suburban Atlanta megachurch is at the center of a sex scandal of biblical dimensions: He slept with his brother’s wife and fathered a child by her.
Members of Archbishop Earl Paulk’s family stood at the pulpit of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit at Chapel Hill Harvester Church a few Sundays ago and revealed the secret exposed by a recent court-ordered paternity test.

Carlton Pearson says nobody goes to hell and becomes a heretic

You cannot teach things contrary to what God said and be regarded as a teacher of the Christian faith. Carlton Pearson was a heretic long before he more recently proved it to his own congregation and his denomination. He was in the heretical name it and claim it Word Faith Movement that is so prevalent on TBN. Is it any wonder that these unstable men go from one heresy to the next? With Carlton the defining moment came when he came to believe that the Bible was not the world of God?? Now why would a “believer” ever believe that? Obviously someone told him the Bible was the world of God sometime during his life but he never ever found out the truth for himself.continue reading

Pat Robertson predicts a horrific terrorist act on the United States in 2007

Pat Robertson is a false prophet with a long history of being wrong.

FOXNews.com – Religious Broadcaster Pat Robertson Predicts Horrific Terrorist Attack on U.S. in 2007 – Local News News Articles National News US News: “VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia — Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Tuesday a horrific terrorist act on the United States that will result in ‘mass killing’ late in 2007.

There is a Woman On The Beast and She has Dominion Theology

Dominion Theology is sometimes also called “Christian Reconstructionism” or “Kingdom Now” but there are significant differences among these theologies. I have lumped all the theologies together in this article under the name Dominion Theology because popular dominionist leaders that bridge denominations and movements have blurred the distinctions. This also is the case with most of their critics. They often lump together beliefs of “Kingdom Now, Christian Reconstructionism” “NAR” and “Latter Rain Theology” as if everyone agreed. There are many different religious doctrines within Dominion Theology so I include the words “many”, “most” or “some” in this article for good reason.

Much of Christianity is now traveling on very different bandwagons of dominionism but all paths lead to some form of a Christian or religious world under a government theonomy (under the law of God) or theocracy, before the return of Jesus Christ.… continue reading
