Things are getting rather dangerous in the Middle East. It looks like Israel will now be at war with the terrorist groups until the terrorist groups are significantly weakened or this war escalates into a war with Syria and Iran.<\/p>\n
I think God only knows what will really happen. Israel right now will probably only attempt to bring about the significant weakening of these terrorists groups so she can allow the creation of the Palestinian State. The majority of Israeli\u2019s have bought into the view that this is the only solution for peace.<\/p>\n
If Syria or Iran does something stupid, Israel and the U.S. might see this as a golden opportunity to take care of all the immediate problems in the area including the nuclear one. They then might take out the military capabilities of both countries.<\/p>\n
Iran would be foolish to think that all Islamic countries would now support a war against Israel and the West if they bring it on themselves. The secular leaders in Islamic countries have far too much to lose. If the Iranian view prevails and radical Islam starts overthrowing these secular governments then of course all bets are off. If that happens, we will see a world war between Islam and the West.<\/p>\n
Another two-sided wild card in all this is North Korea. If the US get involved in military action in North Korea, Iran might believe the U.S. is spread to thin and might move against Israel. On the other side of the wild card, if we bomb Iran, North Korea might think that they are next and attempt a preemptive nuclear EMP attack <\/a>against Japan and\/or the United States.<\/p>\n I do not think a world war with Islam will happen yet because the timing seems wrong. Islam still does not have the unity and the West is still too strong. Islam will probably make a move against Israel after a significant collapse of the world economic system brings internal social unrest in the West. The world economic system based on the U.S. dollar is looking very shaky and rising oil prices are not painting a picture of a rosy economy in the near future.<\/p>\n On the other hand, if we take out the major threats in the Middle East, oil prices will decline drastically and we could see a decade of peace in the Middle East. Of course this gives the United States another major incentive to take out Iran very soon.<\/p>\n
