Dave Daubenmire ran for Congress in Ohio always loudly proclaiming the cross of Christ during his campaign. Here are the results of the vote for him and his observations and conclusions.<\/p>\n

I lost my race for Congress last night. It played out pretty much the way I envisioned it would. I had warned the Tea Party movement that they better pick a horse<\/a> in the primary or they would wind up with a choice between two Bob Dole clones in November.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is exactly what they got. Here are the results. The virtual tie between the top two \u201cconservative\u201d Republicans will require a recount, but it won\u2019t matter. There isn\u2019t a nickel\u2019s difference between them. <\/span><\/p>\n

let me share a few important lessons that I learned.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> It is very difficult to defeat the Political machine. They are ruthless, dishonest, and well funded. They choose the candidate, fund the candidate, and oppose anyone who challenges the status quo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> Most folks are all bark and no bite. Very few in my circle of friends lifted a hand to help; they didn\u2019t take a yard sign, write a check, or offer any assistance; Most didn\u2019t even encourage their friends to vote for me: not as much as an email to their list in support of my run.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> I had lots of help but most of it came from \u201coutsiders.\u201d My campaign manager Mark Mattingly, contacted me on line and volunteered to help. He put in an incredible month of work. He never asked for a dime, in fact, he sacrificed his own money. Helpers came out of the woodwork, most donations came from strangers on-line and from radio appearances on The Power Hour and Call to Decision, as well as those who responded from News With Views.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> The day after the election many of my friends are contacting me and saying \u201cHey, you could have won. I never dreamed you could get that much support.\u201d<\/em> No wonder we lose.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> Less than 20% of the registered voters turned out to vote. Only 51,421 votes were cast. If only 4733 Evangelicals had turned out and voted for me I would have won. Do you suppose there were 4733 Christians among the 205,684 who didn\u2019t go to the polls?<\/span><\/p>\n

I should have won this race in a romp.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> Despite what you hear in the news people are still not hurting enough. Government assistance in the form of unemployment checks has softened the pain. Things are not going to get better. Their pain threshold is about to be tested. Only then will they fall on their face and beg for mercy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> I led with the cross. Every piece of campaign literature, every sign we stuck in the ground, every email we sent had a picture of my Cross hat on it. We made it very clear that this was an opportunity to vote for the Cross. Never in my lifetime has such a bold Christian witness been given to the electorate.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022<\/strong> But the church missed the signal. They didn\u2019t turn out. The cowardly pastors did not encourage them to. They chose \u201cLukewarm\u201d politicians over a \u201chot\u201d, on-fire-for-Jesus Christian. I promised to carry the cross over from the church to the Congress. Most stayed home and watched American Idol. They are without excuse, dumbed down by government schools, brain-dead TV, and milquetoast pastors. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And here is Dave’s conclusion:<\/p>\n

The battle is clearer to me than it has ever been. It took a run for congress and a humble man of God to remind me where the real battle is raging. The battle for Truth is in our churches. Only bold Christian men can save this nation. I will continue to point that out no matter how many lame excuses I hear from the blind guides, and those who enable them, and their complicity in the culture-suicide the salt-less-Gospel is permitting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like I said before, people running on a Christian platform cannot get elected to Dog Catcher in most parts of our nation. Even most “Christians” will not come out and vote for true Christians. Secular Humanists and Marxists have taken over this nation because the gospel is not being preached in our churches and most calling themselves Christians see the fat lady singing but do not understand that it is the end of the American Idol program. <\/span><\/p>\n

If only bold Christian men can save this nation like Dave believes then there is little hope for America. Don’t get me wrong, there are some bold Christian men like Dave Daubenmire, Jim Schwiesow and Franklin Graham that have not bowed their knee to the political correctness or media Baal, but for every Christian leader like them we have a hundred <\/span>milquetoast pastors that just tell the Laodiceans what they want to to hear. Meanwhile, the enemy keeps advancing from the undefended rear while spiritually blind citizens in Laodicea stay entertained by idols dropped through the air by their enemy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The other of the two bold Christians on the front line is Sheriff Jim Schwiesow.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

He believes our now pagan nation is under judgment with the flood in Tennessee and the oil disaster in the gulf just being the latest. I know one thing, it is not looking good for the gulf. We could have a huge catastrophic event forming in the gulf of Mexico that could be a heavy blow to this nation for years. In any case, Schwiesow thinks it is too late and he gives our nation 3 to 5 years. He may be correct. Here are a few of Schwiesow’s observations and conclusions.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Even in the face of such divine condemnation the people do not flee from their egregious lawlessness and sin, they shun correction and sink even deeper into gross and disgusting degeneracy, and they seemingly take pride in the nastiness of their perversions. Indeed so proud are they that their putrescence is packaged and exported via films, music, and the written word to the entirety of the world. We are most certainly a shame deficient people. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I am continually astounded at the ignorance and superficiality of the national media. This nation faces phenomenally calamitous events of Biblical proportions almost daily, and such are treated with benign indifference or outright neglect. Reporters are not reporters they are in fact biased proponents of socialist ideology and politically correct causes. They will closet consequential issues and spend hours on such twaddle as illicit celebrity affairs, who cares social events, reality show outcomes, poorly documented and unsubstantiated medical and pharmaceutical propaganda, the opines of the secular psychological causes of inimical human behavior by Opra Winfrey and Dr. Phil, and which fat singer won the prize on American idol. <\/span><\/p>\n

Just now the media geeks are on a tear to convince the great unwashed that the country is on the road to a recovery from the great Bush\/Obama recession and that things are going to be just hunky dory if we will only persist with the policies of the Federal Reserve and the government\u2019s bureaucratic idiots that got us into this mess in the first place. This nation is poised for economic disaster and no amount of tinkering by a socialist government, the corrupt Federal Reserve, or the fat cat Wall Street Bankers is going to stay indefinitely the monumental crash that is on the horizon. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Many of us go on our way believing that bad things only happen to other people, and that the god of fate has predestined our continued well being. We have only to observe the plight of the flood victims in Tennessee who\u2019s homes in flood free zones have been submerged in water to the roof line to understand the fallacy of such thinking. We would do well to condition ourselves to the fact that no one is immune to the divine chastisement that is being poured out upon this nation. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This government \u2013 all of it from the executive on down – is on a mission to obliterate the name of the Son of God the Lord Jesus Christ from American culture. With an activist judiciary as their enforcer government bureaucrats regularly attempt to efface the name of Christ from every institutional entity both public and private. The movement is so pronounced that there have been serious attempts to prohibit the meeting of families in private homes for Christian worship. <\/span><\/p>\n

This tells me that the transformation of the United States from a Constitutional Republic to godless totalitarian communism is nearly complete. No secular ideology other than Marxist communism mandates the absolute elimination of Christian belief and Christian worship. The communist dogma is of Satan and not Karl Marx; Marx was simply demonically led to fulfill the dictates of his father the devil who hates the Son of God.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At the risk of offending the true believers who sit among the nominal Christians in the denominational churches I submit that a predominant number of these churches today abet the heathen in the suppression of the teachings of Christ. When the preachers of these congregations avoid the hard lessons of scripture and displace, avoid, or eliminate the Gospel and replace it with humanism and the secular doctrines of social justice they fall to the desires of the powers and principalities in high places. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is now a nation of divided interests. It consists of a collection of conflicting cultures and hoards of wandering nomads with no allegiance or commonality of purpose. This has been deliberately engineered by a collection of half-baked socialists, greedy and venal politicians looking to maintain political power by the votes of dependent itinerants, and by the cold and calculating satanic agents who would sacrifice the lives of millions to achieve a world-wide demonic domain. I give the country three years at the least and five years at the most. We are done; the floods, tornadoes, earthquakes and the massive oil infusion of the gulf waters are not happenstance. Everything that is upon us is directly attributable to the moral rottenness of the people. An economic collapse is around the bend and will be followed by famine, racial warfare, nuclear destruction and the captivity of the people. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is what happens when a people abandon faith in the true God, pursue heathen religions, and lust after the things of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Schwiesow’s views are always a bit radical and usually too conspiratorial for me, but I have to admit that he made some good points in that article. <\/span><\/p>\n
