The oil has been gushing in the gulf for two months now. I am not blaming Obama for the oil well failure but some of the blame has to go to people like him that create environmental laws that force Oil Companies to drill fifty miles off-shore.\u00a0 Also, the buck stops with Obama for poor government oversight of BP and for failure to come up with a solution to this problem and the bumbling with the clean-up .<\/p>\n
We are probably going to see the worst natural disaster in the history of this nation. I guess one might even call it a judgment. Sooner or later all this oil is going to start washing ashore on most of the Gulf and East Coast. From what I have read that oil flow is not going to stop anytime soon. The solution to fix it by drilling more well shafts might not even work or it even could make it worse. Even if\u00a0 it works and works on the very first try the oil will be flowing until at least August. Meanwhile, how do they do the drilling and the oil recovery when hurricanes start entering the gulf? You can be certain that they will. With storms in the gulf the oil slick could be pushed anywhere and efforts to stop the spill will be delayed .<\/p>\n
I am no expert, but\u00a0 from what I have read, I think the oil will keep flowing until at least Fall. I do not even want to get into the worse case scenarios and speculations that I have read but if any of them happens I hope you people living on the gulf coast like relocating. Even if the gusher is stopped in August this oil spill is going to destroy a whole lot of\u00a0 jobs on the coast for years.<\/p>\n
Does anyone really think that British Petroleum can keep picking up the tab? The twenty billion that they are putting up is a\u00a0 drop in a oil bucket. The costs will be much much higher. Before long BP will probably be forced to declare bankruptcy. Does anyone think that BP going under will not have an economic impact? A whole lot of people own stock in the company both here and abroad. BP is the largest corporation in Great Britain. The British people are not going to have warm fuzzes for America when BP goes under and they lose a large amount of their jobs and tax revenues.<\/p>\n
I guess if a company is going to drill into Hell they better have some way to plug the hole. I do not know why they cannot close the hole with explosives but if it is for reasons that were suggested in what I read, the oil could be coming out for years.<\/p>\n
Of course the Oil is not the only thing turning into fools gold under Obama’s Midas touch. The Afghanistan war is not going well. The rules of engagement placed on our troops favor the enemy. They cannot even get air support unless they identify the people attacking them. Obama is losing the support of the troops fighting the war. He just fired the general that he put in place because the general said some things that happened to be true. There is no way that our troops are coming out of Afghanistan with any victory by next summer like Obama pledged. If he pulls them out anyway like I expect, the future terrorists actions coming out of Afghanistan and Pakistan will eventually bring about a world war.<\/p>\n
The economic recovery is also going to turn into fools gold this fall in spite of the big recovery snow job. I already gave my reasons why on other posts so I will not waste our time here. (Hint:\u00a0 Obama’s economic policies are designed to fail and the massive government debt will crush any economic recovery).<\/p>\n
And what is this I hear about Obama planing to give defacto amnesty to illegal aliens with a stroke of his executive order pen? For the sake of this nation I think he had better not try.<\/p>\n
Speaking about executive orders, as a taxpayer how do you like paying the costs of providing government benefits for Gary’s fairy?\u00a0 Are you ready for the “don’t ask I will tell” policy in the military? Are you all ready for real Corporal Klinger’s in your outfit? I guess they will get favored treatment and get to live off base like married couples. That will encourage singles living in the barracks to suddenly pair up and lisp like Barney Frank or speak like Oprah…..You go Girl!<\/p>\n
How’s the Obama Iran and N. Korea containment diplomacy thing working out for you? I Guess we will not have long to find out where the\u00a0 foreign policy of fools appeasing tyrants takes America and the world .<\/p>\n
How about the Obama Supreme Court pick, do you want that radical fool deciding on matters of our Constitution for the next thirty years?<\/p>\n
Do you like the idea of Obama bailing out the liberal media, muzzling media opposition and having control over the Internet?<\/p>\n
The home loan restructuring is turning into a mountain of fools gold and the program to save foreclosures is failing in spite of the special terms. This bail out of the Fannie and Freddie could cost the taxpayers about one trillion dollars. The price tag so far is $146 billion.<\/p>\n
How are all the other government programs working out for you? One might think that after the government spent trillions for a stimulus we might see something in return besides fools gold. Like maybe real jobs.<\/p>\n
Of course this is only a bit of what Obama Midas touch has accomplished in 18 months. I am sure you know about ObamaCare and Obama’s goofy golf games. By the way, so far insurance premiums are going up 20 percent on the average this year and the costs of ObamaCare are now projected even by the democrats to be hundreds of billions more than they projected when they passed the ObamaCare bill without reading it.<\/p>\n
