I have noticed in my own experience\u00a0that Pentecostals too\u00a0often cross the line. Here is a story of one Pentecostal pastor that crossed the line and took his whole church with him. Come to think if it, I also noticed that many Pentecostals worship their pastor and will follow him anywhere no matter how unbiblical he becomes. Thus, unless there is\u00a0some way of weeding out these wolves in sheep’s clothing\u00a0many\u00a0sheeple will soon be drinking the\u00a0kool-aid.<\/p>\n
I am not picking on Pentecostals. There are just as\u00a0many godly Pentecostals as their are godly\u00a0non Pentecostal believers.\u00a0However, the display of\u00a0mystical gifts often attracts\u00a0unstable people. Much too often those who\u00a0claim anointing’s and gifts are accepted without question in these churches. When you mix Pentecostalism with Emergent or\u00a0Emerging beliefs that\u00a0redefine truths of the Bible\u00a0the danger\u00a0of\u00a0being led into a\u00a0Pagan\/Christian hybrid religion\u00a0is\u00a0extreme.<\/p>\n
Demonstrating how dark things are getting. Four Square pastor, Phil Wyman, was tossed out of his denomination for his affinity for dream interpretation and a fascination with Wicca and paganism. That, of course, didn’t cause his church membership to suffer. His church, called The Gathering, (please check out this website) engages in Lectio Divina, and spends the month of October celebrating Halloween. Pastor Wyman considers himself an educator for both Wicca and Christianity, and he thinks Wicca is getting a bad rap from Christians who, in his words, have a “National Enquirer” view on Wicca. He’d like to change that. Here are his views on establishing dialogue with pagans and witches. He says conversions happen both ways every day and he’s apparently OK with that. There is no mention of his desire to turn pagans and witches from their spiritual darkness to the light of Jesus Christ.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
