2012: year that started events on earth many will desire to forget

The year 2012 will probably prove to be the most important year in the recent history of the world. It will be the year that started events on earth that many will desire to forget. I do not believe 2012 will be the start of the last seven years of Bible prophecy; yet, many believers might start to think that the tribulation is upon us. It could get that bad.

I am sure Israel would like to put off a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities hoping that the Obama administration will be replaced in 2013, but I do not think they believe that they can wait that long. Keep in mind that Iran will continue moving their critical nuclear weapons infrastructure far underground over the upcoming months.

I could be wrong, but I think all this talk about an Israeli strike before winter is just a bluff to get other nations to get off their butt and give Iran an ultimatum to negotiate a solution. If that does not happen, I think Israel will have to strike Iran in the Spring of 2012. One reason I do not think it will happen now is that Israel has always carried out its military strikes without prior announcement.

With all the recent hullabaloo. they have lost any element of surprise and in a few weeks winter will set in making a strike about impossible. I don’t think Israel would want to hit Iran now and then have clouds make it difficult for them to assess the damage and not be able to see any possible preparations for a military response from Iran. If Israel hit in the spring they will have 8 months of decent weather in order to insure that their objectives are met.

Also, Israel might not need to go it alone by Spring. NATO will be under great pressure to do something about Assad in Syria by Spring. The Right to Protect doctrine of the U.N. will be at stake. Iraq and Afghanistan will also become increasingly destabilized by Iran. If NATO led by the U.S. has to assemble its forces in that area to deal with Syria they might as well deal with Iran as a two for one package deal. As long as Iran is a threat sending arms to enemies of Israel and the West there can be no peace in the Middle East. As long as Iran is a nuclear threat the West is at risk and not just Israel.

I think Iran is aware that an attack is planned to hit their nuclear sites next year, so over the next month or two they will have to make a decision to either make some kind of a deal or to go all out to create more nuclear warheads (they might already have a few tactical nukes that they refurbished from the Soviet era). If they take the latter route, I would expect them to ramp up a war against Israel through their proxies as soon as winter sets in.

So, this winter Israel could be dealing with a war against Hezbollah and Hamas and Iran might be looking for the opportunity to do a first strike on the U.S. through nuclear EMP weapons, shortly before NATO might intend to strike them in the Spring. Of course, Iran will need to have the weapons and the means to deliver the weapons before this can become a reality. We don’t think they do, but we just do not know for sure. American Intelligence has not been very reliable for quite some time.

The socialistic entitlements and the demographics of Western Europe has insured that debts cannot be paid. That is going to cause social instability in Europe in 2012 and that also could put most of the world into a depression spiral. I can foresee social unrest getting out of hand in many places, including in America.

Whether or not the turmoil will put the elections on hold in America probably depends on the degree of civil disorder and the extent of our involvement in foreign wars. I think Martial law in at least some big cities can be expected in 2012. People are running out of retirement benefits and some feel that they are actually justified and entitled to rip off whatever they can from anyone they can. The stealing of cooper wire and pipes and the occupations in the cities are just the start of the civil disorder that is coming.

The Far Left statist collectivist “educators” and instigators have been brainwashing and indoctrinating societies for decades. They are now seeing a great opportunity for a world revolution to bring in their utopian one world collectivist world order where all are governed by a bureaucratic global collective consensus. Those pushing for this agenda are going to increase their efforts in 2012.

With the high unemployment levels all over the world, and governments going broke, and entitlements running out, these “Borg” leaders will inflame programed godless covetous people to take matters into their own hands. On the other hand, there will also be some in the military and police and other protectors of liberty that will try to protect innocent people, livelihoods and property. Therefore, civil wars could start in places you might not expect as soon as 2012.

Russia will reelect Putin in 2012 as President. He will ride in on the Nazi like nationalism that is rising there and he will be every bit as authoritative as any Russian Czar. With the problems in Western Europe and with the U.S. in decline he will successfully start the formation of a new Soviet Union.

China is way overbuilt and real estate properties are a huge bubble. That bubble will burst in 2012 and that along with the world economic decline means great social unrest for China.

If things do not get totally out of hand in America there will be 2012 elections. Herman Cain is now being crucified by the Left. They probably will be able to keep bottom trolling long enough to keep Cain from staying the front runner. My bet is on Newt Gingrich for the Republican nomination.

Romney is Liberal and he will never get more than 30 percent of the Republican vote in the primaries in most states. I don’t think that will be enough to win the Republican nomination. When the fading stars start bowing out of the Republican race most of the conservative support  will go to Newt Gingrich. If Cain can survive and take some states I can see a Gingrich Cain ticket. That does not mean that they can win against Hillary or Obama. Gingrich has a lot of baggage and Obama could get a big bump if we are at war against Iran. Notice that I put Hillary first. I am not sure the Demoncrat leadership will have further reason to continue to cover up for Obama.

If Gingrich gets in, that would be in the year 2013 and that becomes another American horror story, but Halloween is over, so I will save it until it actually happens. I will just say that anyone who thinks Gingrich will cut the size of government and the government control over our lives has not been reading Newt Gingrich. There is little doubt that he is the darling of some of the globalist elite that are hoping that their fallen one can be resurrected and restored to his anointed globalist ministry (like some secular Jim Bakker or Todd Bentley.

You might also keep in mind that there is probably about a five percent chance in 2012 that there could be a solar EMP large enough to take highly advanced nations into the twilight zone. I don’t expect that it will happen in 2012, but keep in mind, that God never promised the world endless generation of electricity.

Even if America survives 2012 as a superpower, the churches in America will not be exempt from their own fall. The great apostasy will continue to pick up steam. Bible infallibility will be more brazenly attacked from many directions. Whole denominations are being and will be subverted with postmodern philosophies and mysticism.

Christian authority in America will come from “Christian” superstars. (Just today I read that Joel Osteen publicly fawned all over New Age Guru Oprah Winfrey when she showed up in the “worship” service at his church. Oprah was scheduled that day to interview Osteen for her TV network (give honor to whom honor is due?). Oprah certainly did not hear the gospel of salvation from the “pastor” in the biggest “Christian” congregation in America (not that Oprah had not already heard the true gospel many times and rejected it).

People that actually believe the teaching of the Bible will increasingly become a small minority within Christendom. It will also become increasingly difficult to find a church that even teaches the Bible. Many churches that continue to teach the unvarnished truth in a limited draw area are likely to have a fall-off in attendance as Americans continue to lose their minds. Pastor/teachers of the Bible should not  take any fall-off of numbers in their congregation personally. The watering down of Christianity and the distortion of the Christian message in America is quite evident and it will become even more evident in 2012. If there will be a real revival in America it will not come through our churches descending into apostasy.

  1. Hi Don

After reading your article above and then a statement reportedly published by The Vatican – see latter half of article: – http://www.omegaletter.com/articles/articles.asp?ArticleID=7156
I was intrigued with the thought that this latter day Babylonian Tower of power will also be brought to an abrupt end – by the great tribulation.

The reinstitution of one world control is being carefully laid out; not by any single human agency, but by the god of this world. It is fascinating to see things pointing to the fruition of end times

Thanks for your broad sweep on events, it has a strange focusing effect – by keeping one from being blinkered.

  2. Don-

“People that actually believe the teaching of the Bible will increasingly become a small minority within Christendom. It will also become increasingly difficult to find a church that even teaches the Bible.”

-I agree and am seeing this transpire in my Evangelical Free Church in Hanover, PA. The Pastor is sound doctrinally but has alienated some members by not being “sensitive enough” and less-than-diplomatic at times. Some of the complaints are valid but instead of staying and working things out, a lot of members have left for greener churches i.e. “a place that fills my spiritual needs.”

I don’t think most of those that have departed realize the darkness that has descended upon Fundemental/Evangelical Christendom. It may not be so easy to find a church that preaches God’s holy, inspired, inerrant Word and if they find one, how long will that last? And I’ve got news for them–the Pastor and staff there are human, too and will have weaknesses.

Oh well, I’ll just find another church…

Our Pastor is flawed but not in a scandalous, clearly unbiblical way. In my opinion, he’s a good man and seems repentant for many of his past “interpersonal” mistakes. This doesn’t seem to matter to some. I consider him a blessing and jewel for his solid stance on Christ, the Bible and Evangelism. It’s just that he’s not a “touchy-feely” kind of guy.

Thanks for listening. I hope this contributes to the discussion of your excellent blog.

  3. Hi Don,

There seems to be another aspect of an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear sites that is little mentioned. That is, the Chinese and Russian workers at these plants. If Israel or the US should bomb them — and to be sure at this late date we’d/they’d need some pretty hefty ordinance to reach the buried sites — and these foreign workers sustained causalities, how would China and Russian respond? This event could very well be the spark that engulfs the globe in another major war. If that happens, all bets are off for the next election.

I do hope Cain can successfully combat these allegations. Never did trust Gingrich, and certainly not Romney. Still like Bachmann the best, but she’s fading. ;-(

  4. Brian,

That was an interesting article. It is also appropriate that one of those trying to shape the OCCUPY movement is named Graber.

I think we will see nations refusing to pay their debts and they will justify it in their own minds. After all, we can even justify not paying our debt because we have been bailing out the world since the second world war.

What the idealists proposing this debt Jubilee are not taking into account is that China, and the Middle East oil countries hold the bulk of the world debt. I do not think they are about to just go along with any debt cancellation scheme.

Also, third world countries owe the money to countries that are strangulating on debt themselves, so all debt forgiveness will do is help bring about the collapse of civilized society. Canceling debts is robbing those that hold the debt. Once that happens nobody will lend anymore and the world will go into a great depression. If you take from those that hold the wealth there will be no wealth to create jobs or anything else.

I also think the quote in the article that says there could be a “bloodless reorganization” in the Arab world to be a laughable statement.

  5. Don, great article. I really appreciate all the effort that you put into this site. Good job!

I haven’t been in a physical church for many years. I came to The Lord when I was 21 and He healed me of my grandmal epilepsy. I have not had a seizure for 29 years, thank you Lord! I didn’t read my bible until I blew out four disks in my low back 7 years ago. Wow! I missed out on so much. I read everyday now. That’s my church…I’m home-schooled. By The Grace of The Lord, I still walk, physically and spiritually. Yes, I’m in pain everyday, but I am so blissfully happy. I wouldn’t trade “my church” for anything.

May The Lord shine His face upon you always!

  6. Don,

    Another superb article.

There is so much to ponder here.

Even if you only did one a month like this, we’d still get so much out of your blog.

    Thank You.

  7. Hi Sherri,

Keep in mind that Christians are the Church. Even if you cannot get out you can have interaction with the Church. Like even right here.

  8. Great post Don. 2012 does have a lot of potential to be an interesting year. I agree with you about the timing of a potential Israeli attack on Iran, but for reasons you did not mention. An attack would probably have near or through Iraqi airspace. I believe the current US government would interfere with the strike or refueling aircraft. The US leave Iraq at the end of 2011, I do not believe a strike will occur before then. I also expect violence in the election process this next year. I expect probable Tea Party rallies to be assulted by OWS’ers or by their radical union supporters. My baser instincts hope to see it in Virginia (where I used to live) where many Tea Party attendees are likely legally armed.

However, if the socialists appear likely to lose the election, there will be violence. Socialists do not relinquish power gracefully due to an election. I suspect the most probable EMF attack of the US today would be from an Iranian “civilian” ship which had carried on “trade” with their ally in Venezula. Current Iranian missile technology could reach the central US from the Gulf of Mexico or the Carribean. We have few assessts that could respond rapidly enough to interdict such an attack.

Whatever happens, good or ill, one piece of truth that I held onto from a David Wilkenson description of his “Vision” in the early 70’s (my opinion of the various vision’s is unimportant). “Remember, God has everything under control.” That will be important to each and every born-again Christian to remember in both the good and the bad times which appear to be coming. We should keep our focus and trust in Christ.

  9. Don, I read your blogs whenever they are posted. I certainly agree with most of what you say. The world is beginning it’s down slope from the tipping point. I believe things are going to start unravelling real fast, hold onto your hats. The only assuring thing is that God is still in control. I live in southern Alberta and can’t beleive the politics of the U.S., the politicians are fiddling while the world burns, but isn’t that the way it’supposed to be. I pray daily God will give me the wisdom to do whatever I am supposed to. Keep blogging, it certainly has shown me that maybe God is telling someone else the same things.

  10. Good Morning Don ,
After reading your article it is difficult to find anything constructive that I could add to the discussion. I just received the November issue of Chuck Missler’s Personal Update Journal. He devotes 7 pages to what he believes may be brewing in the world of Islam between the Shite and the Sunni muslims. Missler thinks they could be a bloodbath between the 2 factions soon.
Iran , of course is the driving force behind all this as they seek to control the region and impose strict Sharia law across the Muslim world. According to Missler this conflict dates back to 632 A.D. when Mohammed was poisioned and may explode into full scale war soon. Missler says The Sunni Muslims teach that Shities aren’t real muslims and teach this in their schools.
It has always been my view that the Saudi Royal family could care less about Islam , it is simply the relegion of convenience that suits their purposes. They only care about retaining the position of power and control. I think the same was true of Saddam in Iraq and Quadaffi in Libya before they fell from power and is currently true of Assad in Syria.

In addition to Missler’s conjectures I found an article by Joel Rosenburg in one of the sub catejories on Fox News website. Rosenburg says the ruling mullahs and clerics in Iran truly
believe we have arrived in the last days and the return of the 12th Iman is imminent. Therefore, they see it as there relegious duty to conduct jihad to prepare the way .

  11. Good Morning Don,

I agree. The immediate answer to Israel’s problems may be that the Middle East Muslim nations may destroy each others armies through a Shiite vs Sunni war. Then Israel can be living in peace before the Ezekiel 38 war.

  12. Don ,
In the event of a Shite verus Sunni war do you believe Russia and China would back either side?
It is no secret Russia supports Iran in multiple endeavors including their nuclear activities.
Seems logical to me that Hamas, Hezebollah, and the Muslim Brotherhood would support the Shities in such a conflict and it could very well spill over to involve Israel.

  13. Don,

I can see Russia aiding Shiite Iran and that might be the reason why Iran comes with Russia in the later Ezekiel 38-39 war. I can see the U.S. and the West backing the Sunni’s with the Saudi Arabian leadership. Arabia will oppose the Ezekiel Gog invasion. I think China will stay out of it until the days of the Kings of the east. You know, after Iran gets their ears clipped when there nuclear program is taken out they might even join the new Soviet “Trade Union” that Putin is pushing.

Israel will soon deal with Hamas and Hezbollah and the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood will fill the vacuum.

  14. Don,

Do you view the Israelis dealing with Hamas and the Hezbos as part of Isaiah 17:1?

  15. Don,
There is a Middle East axiom to the effect that Israel is at her most dangerous when silent. Wouldn’t it be a hoot for Israel to openly threaten an attack against Iran in the coming weeks, then attack them tomorrow?

  16. Hi Tom, who really knows?

I was looking at the map today wondering if they could pull off a nuclear EMP and just shut everything down in most of Iran for years. I am sure they have the capability to do that but there is the problem of keeping it from knocking out Baghdad Iraq and other undesirable locations. I guess the weapon would have to detonate at fairly low altitude like only about 10 miles up and it would then take several weapons to hit most of the critical Iranian sites but at that low altitude there would be a atmospheric radiation problem not to mention that the world would suddenly have a big oil shortage. So I do not think Israel will do it.

  17. I agree with Tom’s statement: “Israel is at her most dangerous when silent.”

They seem to come up with “stunner” solutions. (Their fingerprints are all over Stuxnet and the Raid on Entebbe was very creative and well planned)

When the Israeli’s are finished, the will make a couple calls and say – “never mind, guys. We solved the problem, once again.

After seeing a story of how Stuxnet was programmed and what it did, I wonder if something similar could be released that would cause reactors to overheat and warnings suppressed.

These be interesting times in which we live!

  18. Bob,

They already know that something like Stuxnet has being infecting infrastructure computers right here (although it has been just gathering information on how to take over control of the systems right now). So it is not just Iran that has to worry about cyber warfare taking down reactors and other infrastructure controlled by computers.

One of these days we will wake up and turn on the light and it won’t be coming on for awhile. Or the banks and wall street will be down. 2012 could very well be the start of years of mass panics because of over reliance on computers. Computer systems are not as secure as most people think. They can all be hacked. People should keep that in mind when they choice to do financial or personal business online.

Also, keep in mind that in the end God will have to save Israel. She is not going to save herself through her own military in the end. Before God does save Israel she will go through the dire period called Jacob’s trouble. Nobody will want to be in Israel in those days.

  19. Computers can be violated at the firmware level. At that point, toss all connected hardware. I wonder who’s making hardware/firmware these days? Hmmm. Your finances are at stake simply in the hands of the handlers. When the EMP occurs, you have to survive on what is in your possession and that’s it. A piece of paper containing a statement is worthless from that point forth (and yet I guess I recommend printing year end statements anyway – shrug). If the power goes out due to cyber, your printed statements might have some usefulness when the power comes back on. As for a cyber attack, they had better have spare replacement sanitized hardware that can be fired up in an isolated non-connected facility. Otherwise, start over again. All this interconnectivity that the various infrastructure folk decided to embark on is about as stupid as it gets.

I guess we’ll call 2012+ “The Time Of The Eagle’s Trouble”.

  20. Don,

When I hear what businesses are to now, I just have to shake my head as wonder if the country isn’t being stupid on purpose. For the last couple years people have begun talking about something called “The Cloud”. I was only vaguely familiar with the concept being a technological Ludite. I began paying attention when A ministry I sometimes write for has begun migrating all its files to “The Cloud”. Two days ago my wife came home from work after having heard a talk about what “The Cloud” is. Apparently, we no longer have to have programs, like MS WORD, EXCEL, or anything else on our computers, not even email clients. It’s all being handled somewhere else, in some ethereal netherworld. What came to mind was, if power goes down and “The Cloud” goes down, we won’t even be able to continue doing our work even if our part of the country still has power. Maybe I just don’t understand this new technology. Maybe, in fact, it actually is more robust, more secure? But it seems to me we are building our world out of sugar crystal candy, just waiting for a bully with a big hammer to come along.

  21. “The Cloud” is simply computer nodes joined together to spread out the work load. Depending on the software layer that comprises this “joining together”, storage is typically involved. Everything sort of depends on the software layer. You can also download freeware open source software that is slowly getting better. The original idea was heterogeneous computers could “join in” as contributed by users out there – they must download and configure some software components, which may or may not be easily accomplished or may be accomplished outside of the users direct control. However, “the cloud”, as one might expect, never really took off in that original intent. Instead, “the cloud” is typically homogeneous racks supplied by a provider (google, amazon, yahoo, not to mention corporate, etc etc).

Above the layer of the basic “joining” would be the [custom] application layer. And this is totally dependent on what the “provider” is offering. Yes, your content and applications are stored and hosted by the provider.

Frankly, “the cloud” is more of a “how” – it’s how the provider is accomplishing some offering of services under the cover and should be transparent to the user. Computers have been “joined” together practically on the day the second one was made (kind of like the first car race occurred the day they made the second car). It’s just now there are more or more out-of-the-box infrastructure offerings to take multi-nodes (hundreds or even thousands of participating computers in racks) and join them in a cohesive manner.

In any case, an EMP destroys the whole rack just on the E1 and E2 components. So whether it’s one or thousands, they are all gone – including any data that was stored on them. Even if you do off site storage on anything other than plastic (e.g., DVD), the data is all gone. And, if you save to DVD, where you gonna get the equipment or power to read it and what are you productively going to do with it? Remind you that your primary goal is water followed by food, so that DVD isn’t exactly looking all that important. I do recall, however, that magnetic tape media was not destroyed in those early tests.

  22. Hi Don, Your article on an EMP strike was interesting, can the anti-christ rule over a “powerless” people (no pun intended) here or abroad. It seems unlikely to me, most people today seem so worldly, a money crash is all that’s needed. However, we lost power recently for a week from a snowstorm and not being able to get gasoline and having to eat up all the frozen meat and ice cream in a few days gives me a shudder on an EMP strike. It’s easy to be bold for the Lord until the lights actually go out and the stores are empty. By God’s grace I hope my trust and all who believe in Him will endure. Keep up the good work for God.

  23. Just back from Missler’s Strategic Prospectives. The weekend in a nutshell; God’s hand has been removed from America; repent for judgment begins in the house of God; we could be entering into a time in history that the bible speaks more about than it does the gospel; prepare for crisis-es in the following areas; economy, food, energy and war; invest in the kingdom of God; God is sovereign and he will provide when we give up the certain for the uncertain; He is the Almighty God of the unexpected. Trust Him and be in fellowship and community with other believers. Hold on folks, 2012 could be the hinge point of history. It was a great time, with lots of bad news. We came away with a renewed determination to pray, to be bold for Christ and full of faith not fear. Maranatha

  24. I have news for all those building and interconnecting electronic databases as if the sum of all human knowledge will soon become accessible to all future generations.

God is going to degauss all the electronic databases in the world and the electronic world will have to start from scratch in the Kingdom. Think not? what kind of an electromagnetic storm will be generated when the Angel pours out his vial on the sun and it scorches the earth with great heat? It will be the mother of all EMP’s

Yes, your Facebook page will not go with you into the millennium.

  25. Hi Ammi,

Yeah, what you heard at Missler’s Strategic Prospectives sounds very plausible to me.

Certainly food for thought and thank you for sharing this good info 🙂

  26. Don,

Would it be fair to say that electronics as we so depend and desire them today will not be of much importance in the Millennium?..we are going to be with our Lord, I would think that those in the Millennium are going to be so ecstatically happy and joyful being in the presence of the Lord that all this worldly electronic nonsense won’t be as paramount as it is today.

  27. Hi guys, hi Don another fine post.
Just go back 12 months to November 2010, we were like now, thinking about the coming year, could we have imagined that in such a short time these events would have happened!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011

Its shocking when you see it listed like this

The global unrest riots , unprecedented natural disasters.
A nuclear plant exploding! Bin Laden, DEAD! Gaddafi, DEAD! Flooding all over the world this year. The unrest in society. Here in the UK, it was a bit close to home also..

If we had looked at this wiki article last November would we have believed it?

Im fully prepared for more unbelievable events in the next 12 months.

  28. ~ David

The millennium is in not the Holy city. Life will go on, on earth much as it has in prior dispensations. It is not going to be ecstatic happiness neither will everyone be in the presence of the Lord.

  29. Don,

I am obviously mistaken…and have not personally done a thorough reading of the Bible in the things regarding the Millennial age yet.

I know the ‘One Thousand’ year reign of Jesus on earth is NOT ‘The Holy City’ but I thought that with Jesus setting up his Kingdom on earth and with his governance, the problems and apostasy we see now, wouldn’t exist…especially since Satan and his demons will be bound in the bottomless pit.

Until, of course…”after these things he must be released for a little while.”

  30. Brian & Don,

I guess I’m under the illusion that humanity will be quite different during the Millennial reign.

I was thinking that those who were raptured and those that made it through the tribulation would have no excuse but to seek the Lord in all things.

  31. life in the millenium has to be pure happiness because we are with the lord, i can’t imagine life being this bad as it is now. i personally think it is going to be like the garden of eden.

  32. What is not being taken into account is that the Bride of Christ will be with the Lord and not living among the natural humans in the Gentile nations on earth and those that survived the great tribulation will have many billions of children.

Because of sin there will even be death on earth in the millennium and disobedience, crime and punishment. After all, if the Lord rules over the earth with a rod of iron, the rod is there for a reason.

Life on earth in the 7th millennium will be the best it has every been since the fall and the earth will be restored to a paradise under the iron rule of Jesus but natural people with sin natures will hardly be ecstatically happy nor are most of them going to be in the actual physical presence of the Lord.

The millennium is the thousand year period when the earth is ruled by the Jewish Messiah and His Kingdom. Natural man is still sinful during this period. The new Heaven and Earth does not come until after the Great White Throne Judgment after the final rebellion.

  33. Don,
I’ve always found this confusing. Are we or are we not, as the Bride, going to live on the millennial earth? If we are to rule with Jesus, yet we don’t live here, is this like some kind of long distance telecommute job? I’m re-reading Randy Alcorn’s book, “Heaven”, and going through it a second time, I’m spotting theological problems I missed the first time. But he apparently puts the Church on earth during this time. Others — Jack Kelley, I believe — have us in the New Jerusalem. I’ve not been able to get the timeline straight in my mind.

  34. Doug,

There is nothing said in scripture about where the Bride of Christ is physically dwelling during the millennial reign. We do know that the immortals will rule and reign with Christ for a thousand years on earth.

It is a common sense issue with me. There simply is no way that the Church can all physically dwell in a small part of Israel. I think the immortals that attained the first resurrection will be living in the Holy City that will be in orbit above Jerusalem and we will ascend and descend to the earth on the portal refereed to in Gen 28:12.

The Holy City is adorned for the Bride but it always existed. Revelation 21 describes it but it does not give the timing about when the Bride arrived there. In my opinion, the arrival of the Holy city is why there are those passages about people looking up fearing and blaspheming those that dwell in heaven. It is where the two prophets go after they are killed and it where the Lord and his Holy ones come from to take control of the earth.

  35. You know, the more I think about it….

We live in a day and age today where people on the ‘other’ side of the fence are not believers by choice because they don’t see the concrete evidence and won’t give The Living God a chance in their lives because of it.

During the Millennial Reign of Jesus, there will be no doubt about ‘The Truth’.

And those that would still reject or blaspheme The Living God, Jesus Christ at the Millennial Age, you would think, would be thought of as downright evil.

In another words, I think the apostate excuses will be all used up, then, I guess those evil one’s will surely be cast into the place that they so dearly covet, Hell.

Is that a correct perspective ?

  36. ~David

Not everything is about breaking the first and second commandments and there are different degrees of evil. All this speculation about the millennium is really getting way off the post topic. The topic is events in 2012.

  37. good points don, people born in the millenium will see the place as we see the world today maybe because thats all they know since they were born in the millenium. because sin is natural to humans they will still sin and complain in paradise, wow it just shows the sinful nature of humans.

  38. Don (and everyone),

I apologize for getting this post off topic, I should know better.

2012 is certainly going to be an eventful year.

I look forward to anything that brings us closer to being in the presence of our Lord 🙂

  39. There is a headline on foxnews about some pro-Obama group coming to the aid of Romney in the flip-flop-over-abortion debate. It sure seems like the fix is in. I guess the media will be pushing Romney to the hilt.

I am scheduling some long distance family trips early next year (pre-April). I figure (pray) that we won’t be stuck out there if bad stuff were to go down. I’m thinking that next year’s vacation, which I usually take in the October time frame, will be in the FL Keys. If there’s a possibility of being stranded away from home, I can’t think of a better place to be permanently stranded then the keys, particularly for a fisherman / outdoorsman. But, for sake of argument, the last place I want to be permanently stuck in would be Cleveland or Detroit (not picking on those places, just sayin’ — noting I have my survival plans and materials based on my locality / abode.

Maybe y’all could call me paranoid (hopefully not faithless), but it’s the practical / project-oriented person in me that would prefer to be “close to home base”, shall we say?

Studying Don’ commentary, I see the Bride shuttling between the hovering city and earth at the millennial kingdom. Caretakers is the word I seem to grasp. We have crowns (well, of varying degrees). The hard part for me is that I just can’t bear to be in or be exposed to sin (mine and others). I’m done with it now and I have to endure until the rapture and then after the ceremony et al, we’re back at it. Serving is fine. I’m ok with that. But, I think I long for the ages to come after the great white thrown judgment. Just sayin’.

  40. We all know even now the next few years will be the world unraveling. This whole “debt super committee” in the US is an absolute joke. Chickens are going to come home to roost in the USA here again in about 1-2m when this group needs to “agree” on a debt reducing plan. US cannot agree because the 2 party system is broken. Their ideology is cracked. They think they can just print money endlessly without consequences.

Its all epic fail. I am amazed that the average American has no clue. My co-workers talk about “the economy turning around soon” and inside I just laugh. The debt issue is so without solution that no recovery or jobs will ever come back. I do believe there will be countless countries “default” just not pay and thus cause WW3. Its unstoppable.

So Don what does someone do with all this. I have already stockpiled over 6m of long term food. Water is harder to store but I could go 2m probably.

    Questions:
*Will gold and silver actually hold its value and counteract hyperinflation? I have read yes and no. Of course the gold bugs say “gold to the moon” (Sinclaire and Willy among 2) Where does one shelter ones cash/savings?

*What will happen to savings accounts held in the banks? are we talking…poof gone?

*Do we all just move to the mountains/country and hope for the best. (AKA Baldwin who somehow felt the need to move to Montana what has the harshest winters in the US, his plan seems flawed too) I don’t live in a mega city anymore but where I live is still totally dependent on JIT supply chain and the grid.

*What does one do with all this info? Is it like a movie, we just get the popcorn and watch the show?

  41. Erin,

I think you have taken prudent action with your 6 months food. Like I have said before, we have to eat anyway so even if nothing happens our food will not go to waste. I suggest that people just stock a nice pantry and rotate the food. The last couple of generations are the only generations in history where people do not prepare for winter or a crop failure and then people call it lack of faith when you do. Actually, it is foolish presumption to believe that our modern just-in-time infrastructure is always going to provide for us without any disruptions, Especially since we know natural disasters, wars, EMP’s, cyber attacks, oil disruptions, and an economic collapse can happen . Even the Department of Homeland Security warns us to have extra food and water on hand.

I am not an investment adviser. There are problems with any sheltering of wealth for the future as if doing that can make you secure. Cash can lose its value, banks can shut down, gold and silver can be taken away or government can dictate the value. The best security anyone can have besides a spiritual relationship with God is to have a skill that will be needed by others no matter what happens.

I do not think the Baldwins moved to the mountains hoping for the best. They actually think there will be a counter revolution against the increasing tyranny in this country and they see themselves as leaders in this second American revolution that will spread from this traditional libertarian part of America. Perhaps they are those leaders or perhaps they are being presumptuous. Time will tell. I am not going to question what others think God is telling them to do in the obvious crises that are coming.

All anyone can do is to walk in faith. However what most Christian call faith is in reality faith in their faith. You cannot have true faith unless your hearing from God and if you’re hearing from God then you need to be doing what He is telling you. God is going to work differently through different people so there is no one size fits all answer for the future. For a Christian the key thing to know is that God has not lost control and you are on earth to do His purpose no matter what happens. God knows how to provide for His people on earth.

For me the issue of preparation is not about survival for Christians. No Christian is going to die unless God allows it. It is more about do you want to stand in a crowded FEMA line all day exposed to the elements with often hostile people to get your basic needs met or would you rather be living in the relative comfort and safety of your own home because you prepared for the foreseeable winter. I guess you can be salt and light either way.

  42. Don,

You certainly called it “on the money” with your previous articles on the Day Of Rage/Wall Street Protestors and I think your correct what will happen in the near future (your 2012 analysis).

It seems that the civil wars & riots in the U.S. inner cities are becoming more probable as each day passes.

What gets me most is the lame stream media has totally condemned “The Tea Party” movement, yet, the Tea Party people pick up trash and generally leave a place better than when they got there…the Wall Street people are passing out condoms, trashing areas, and provoking violence.

2012 certainly has the potential to be a very volatile year.

  43. ~David

The Tea Party was made up of people from traditional America which loves God and country and is politically on the right or center right. This OCCUPY movement has been conceived, pushed and is lead by people that are as godless and Far Left as Mao. The Mainstream media is also controlled by the same Far Left. So, they are all part of the same red army.

Sure, most of people in the “Occupy” movement are just brainwashed spoiled kids that do not have a clue where a glass of milk even comes from but they are programed and they are being led and indoctrinated to a revolution for a purpose. Remember fascists and socialists have always taken over nations through a small groups of radicals when a troubled majority in a nation was expecting hope and change.

By the way, read the “Red Army” it will tell you how Obama and friends and the scum of the earth is hijacking America. These people are Obama’s army, even if he is trying to make people now think that he is in the political center to get reelected. If he wins the election, there will be no more pretense and the scum all over America will rise to the top and spoil what is left of the country.

It should not surprise people that those that “Occupy” break laws and have no morals. They are rebellious godless people acting out the lawlessness that they were taught in the government indoctrination systems that some still call “schools”.

  44. Don,

    All good points.

    I guess the question is…

Whether Obama is re-elected or not, is it even possible to quell this uprising by these occupier lunatics over the next year ?

I see in the news daily how the things these nutjobs are promoting are being welcomed and entrenched in our society anyway…and being upheld by our judicial branches.

  45. The 5% chance of the solar EMP is not very comforting. I do agree that the world is in for some radical changes in the year 2012, I know God will rise victorious out of it, exciting times!

  46. I guess Obama’s “Red Army” has pretty much determined the answer to my question…I guess we have the choice of the quick death (Obama re-elected) or the slower death (another used car salesman selling lemons in the white house).

  47. Hi – I read through most of your comments. Have not been on the blog for a bit. Anyway, as information to all of you. There is a house at the end of our street. The owner gave up the house to the bank. It has been for sale for months. It has boards over the doors but some “people” got into the house and took copper pipe. Bit by bit I am doing practical things to prepare for whatever and whenever it might happen. I prayed two years ago to find the right dog to bring into our home. Our dog is a mix. He is alert to activity around the house. He barks very loud if something is going on outside. The Lord dealt with us to come and live in this town. This is where he wanted us to be. Stay alert and sober. Grow in wisdom. Encourage the saints. Trust the Lord. Many are called and few are chosen. Continue to build up the chosen.

  48. Bob From Texas,

On what you said on this post on November 10, 2011 at 10:53 pm:

I really wonder if something like that (Stuxnet worm) is the reason for the explosions in the wep base in Iran Nov 12, 2011 ???

DEBKAfile has an article about that possibility.

  49. Another thought (just conjecture) from me on Iran’s explosion on Nov 12, 2011 is…

It could also be the direct hand of The Living God at work on things to come for those who come against the “apple of his eye”.

With 40,000 rockets currently aimed at Israel, there is no doubt that only The Living God can turn those tables in Israels favor…which he will.

  50. I have been pondering what would happen if the Israelis develop a device that would cause all those rockets to explode in their launchers.

Would Hamas and the Hezbos then file a complaint with the UN that those rockets were “just for the kids” and not intended to fire at Israeli settlements?

The UN could then launch an investigation led by “Peanut” Jiminy Carter and then condemn the Israelis of harming Palestinian Youf.

  51. Well, another “oopsy” explosion in Iran as of today, Nov 28, 2011.

It’s not even 2012 yet and Iran is coming into it literally with a bang.

I really do believe that these massive explosions at Iran’s wep plants are either Israel finding a way to do it through online means…or…the direct hand of God, pretty much saying to Iran, “ain’t gonna happen”…of course, Iran won’t listen and will walk right into prophecy fulfillment.

  52. ~David

I do not know the reason for the recent explosion but I do not see Iran even being in future Bible prophecy until the time of the Ezekiel 38 39 war. I see no message from God in these explosions when the Israeli leadership is not even acknowledging their God.

  53. Hi Don,

My point was that all that have a “master plan” against Israel will be denied as they always have in history…which has always clearly been the hand of God.

My understanding is that Israel won’t recognize The True God until they have the Zechariah 12:10 perspective for prophetic reasons you have taught us.

  54. Hi ~David,

Yeah, but my point is that Israel will reap the consequences of war because they are depending on their own military abilities rather than on YHWH. Israel will be going through some very hard times and those teaching otherwise are actually doing Israel a disservice and giving them false hope.

  55. In line with your last comment to ~David Don:
If we look at Zechariah 13:8-9 and its purging of ungodliness from Israel, then it is only logical that Israel will not come off scot-free in the coming pre-trib wars.
I think many Bible believing lovers of Israel (and I am a lover of Israel) do not take this purging as seriously as they should. It is a major reason the tribulation is allowed. God is going to purify his ancient people before giving them the Kingdom.

  56. 12/5/2011…what a day for Israeli / Middle East headlines !
Any doubt about what is going on in our world ? Just go to http://www.debka.com/ to see what is on the horizon.

And, I would discourage anyone from taking any vacation time in Damascus at this time.

  57. For the coming 2012 year…

I can’t help but wonder how the senate approved S.1867 bill might affect every American in the years to come. Having government determine who can be considered “a terrorist” and enforcing a potential police state in the U.S. sounds very dangerous to me.
    http://soulsecretservice.wordpress.com/2011/12/05/s1867-passes-empowers-us-military-to-operate-on-us-soil-among-other-things/

So, the U.S. is going to try and establish the ‘Perversion Police” in other countries…the gall of these people.
    http://cnsnews.com/news/article/hillary-clinton-religious-beliefs-are-standing-way-protecting-human-rights-lgbt-people

And, of course, are we even going to make it to 2012 before the eminent Middle East war breaks out ?

  58. I wanted to ask anyone who might know as I can’t get a straight answer from internet research about the Strait Of Hormuz U.S. oil interests.

    My question is this…

About one-third of the worlds oil travels through the Strait of Hormuz.

If war breaks out in the area of the Strait Of Hormuz, and through traffic through the Strait itself is restricted or cut off because of the conflict itself, would it mean that speculators would skyrocket oil prices which would translate to the biggest ever gas prices we’ve ever seen in the U.S. and the world ?

  59. ~David

The conflict would not last long. There will be a spike due to uncertainty and speculators but many countries now have strategic reserves as a buffer against such a conflict.

The real question is will Iran be pumping any oil after the bombing attack? I would not think they will for awhile, or at least not much. However, Arab OPEC countries said that they can make up the difference.

Which proves that OPEC can pump much more than they are now are pumping, and you can blame the lack of free oil markets for the $100 a barrel oil prices.

I think we would have price controls along with gas rationing before we will have $10 a gallon gas in most of the nation. The riots on the streets would not look good for the administration. However I do not think Iran will have the military capabilities to close the Strait for long although tankers might need to convey and be escorted by war ships for awhile.
