Todd Bentley raising the dead or just raising cash?

This is Marsha West’s follow-up on “Bam! Bam! bam! said the the false prophet” article. I posted it on this blog not too long ago and there is a also a link to it at the end of this article. This article gives quite a bit of additional information to her above article and she also writes about a first hand account of someone who actually went to Lakeland for healing. I have already told my readers what I think of the Todd Bentley freak show so I will not repeat it all here. If you have not read what I wrote. Go to “home” on this Blog and type in the name “Todd Bentley” in the search box and the articles should come up.

By the way, there is nothing new about people like Todd Bentley. I have already seen this act first hand thirty years ago by those who started this Word-Faith movement spin off. They used to make the Charismatic mega church circuits in Phoenix when I was living there. One guy I am thinking of also saw angels and later he saw jail (for embezzlement or fraud I believe). Let me assure you that the claimed healings are all nonsense. I personally knew people who claimed healing they obviously never had.

The crowd is put into an auto suggestive state and the rest is much like a stage hypnotist act. They have no problem making people look like fools and I think that is some of their intent. They are actually mocking these gullible people and Christianity. The same gullible people followed these clowns around from venue to venue in the Phoenix area when I was there hoping that this would be the day they would get their healing. It would be laughable if it was not so tragic to the sick and dying and deadly to the true gospel. Now they tie money to the amount of healing you will get which is a refinement of what they used to do. They used to just keep passing the basket until they got what they wanted. Three collections was quite common.

Don’t be a sucker, learn to discern good from evil.

Marsha West — Learn to Discern Good From Evil

There’s a rumor going around that dead folks are coming to life again, the blind see, the sick are getting healed, amputees are even growing new limbs, all due to the supernatural healing powers of Canadian faith-evangelist Todd Bentley. Some believe there’s a “Holy Spirit breakout” going on at the “Lakeland Outpouring.” Fresh Fire Ministries is behind the so-called revival. The burning question for the Fresh Fire team is, where’s the flesh? Doubting Thomas’s would like to hear a couple of the prior dead stand up and give their testimonies. One verifiable testimony would help.

Here’s another question: Why hasn’t Oprah invited one of the 30 plus people Bentley claims have passed over to the other side, then suddenly reentered their bodies due to his “God-given” healing powers, onto her daytime show. Her audience would eat it up!

My final question is for the Christian who believes Todd Bentley hung the moon and stars: Are you serious?

In my commentary “Bam! Bam! Bam! said the false prophet”[2] I exposed Todd Bentley as a fool and a fraud. Not surprisingly I received a large number of email from Christians who accused me of judging him. Several emailers claimed they’ve been to the Lakeland Outpouring, thus they feel they’re experts on what’s happening there. Because I haven’t “experienced” the “move of the Holy Spirit” first hand, I have no business “judging” Bentley. Which is like saying that those who haven’t been to Afghanistan or Iraq shouldn’t express their opinion on the war. That’s ridiculous! The greater a Christian leader’s responsibility, the greater his/her accountability. Judging is not only permissible, it is every Christian’s duty. But that fact has not stopped some “protectors of the prophet” from being put out with me. And so I received this dire warning: “!” What do they mean by that threat? Critics must keep their hands off word-faith teachers. Which is ludicrous on its face since it’s scriptural to expose false teachers and abusive pastors.

I responded to my critics by saying that my marching orders come from the King! As such, I will continue speaking publicly about Todd Bentley’s unscriptural theology. My mission is to expose Christian liberalism and the influential “Christians” who are leading the undiscerning into neo paganism. Ever wonder why professing Christians say they’re “spiritual” instead of religious? It’s because they’ve strayed from the straight and narrow path and are following the path of the mystics! In other words, they’ve strayed from historic orthodox Christianity and now embrace beliefs acquired from Eastern mysticism! As a result of the Progressive Christianity movement, liberalism and occult practices have made their way into mainline churches.

Progressives have mounted an all out assault on the validity of the Bible. Why? They want to remove the only source of real truth. Who’s behind it? Our adversary the devil! His goal is to rid the world of the Book that conveys God’s redemptive plan to fallen humanity. Listen to what Paul says about the Bible:

What Dembski reports next is profoundly disturbing. He explains that after Bentley “preached,” an offering was taken. During the offering he asked the crowd:

“’How much anointing do you want to receive?’ Thus he linked the blessing we should receive with the amount of money we gave.”

Following the prayer for mass healing, Bentley told the crowd he would pray for the severest cases. What happened next is beyond belief:

Those looking for lying signs and wonders will find them

Glad to see that there are some that have the same opinion of the Todd Bentley and the “third wave” crowd that I do. Show some people a few lying signs and wonders and they will believe anything.

Christian Worldview Network - Brannon Howse - Trusting Miracles or Christ?

Anytime someone goes beyond what Scripture tells us, he is “intruding into those things which he hath not seen.” (Col. 2:18) Speaking of “intruding into those things which he hath not seen” and being “vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,” check this out:

Here are a couple of excerpts from Todd Bentley’s 2003 article entitled Angelic Hosts:

“So when I need a financial breakthrough I don’t just pray and ask
God for my financial breakthrough. I go into intercession and
become a partner with the angels by petitioning the Father for the
angels that are assigned to getting me money: ‘Father, give me
the angels in heaven right now that are assigned to get me money
and wealth. And let those angels be released on my behalf. Let
them go into the four corners of the earth and gather me money.’”

There is no mention of Jesus Christ here in Bentley’s praying. He just partners with angels to get what he wants

Looking to these externals (signs, wonders, dreams, miracles, etc.) is tied with looking to mere men. They become idols of our hearts. If we are going to look to men, look to the apostle Paul, John, and Peter. They were authentically His disciples, filled with His Spirit, honored His holy Word above all else, and walked with Him. The Bible tells us they were “holy men of God.” (2 Pet. 1:20-21) God Himself approved these men as opposed to the many self-proclaimed prophets and self-promoting deceivers on the scene today. Look to Jesus Christ. His Word is final authority (Rom. 3:3-4). Didn’t Jesus tell us that false prophets who come in His holy name would deceive “many”? (Matt. 24:5, 11, 24) Also, did He not foretell that “MANY” who call Him “Lord, Lord” and even use His name in vain to do miracles, prophesy, and do many wonder works, are going to hell? (Matt. 7:21-23)

It is essential to believe what God has revealed to us about Jesus Christ. We must remain in those fundamental doctrines of Christ or we will lose out in the end. The mission of the enemy is to use one of his many deceivers to move you away from the doctrinal and spiritually pure worship of Jesus Christ our LORD. Examine this next passage closely. 2 John 7-11 says:

“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not (does not remain) in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

Coming Christian wealth transfer or an ongoing third wave demon transfer?

The whole idea that there will be a wealth transfer from the world to the Church is preposterous. What do they think the world will be doing while we take away their wealth and what in the world would we do with the wealth of the world anyway? Get rid of poverty? Where does it say the Church will do that in scripture? Actually these people will take new found wealth to build more and larger circus tents for their “third wave” freak shows?

There is no such concept of a wealth transfer to the Church in scripture it is totally contrary to what the scripture teaches.

These “third wave” self appointed, apostles, prophets and healers are proud presumptuous deranged people or they are greedy con artists and liars.

The “third wave” apostles, false prophets and healers appeal to people’s flesh and that is the only reason they have a following. They certainly do not hear the true gospel from these people and they do receive any sound Christian teaching.

These are the people Jesus was talking about in Matthew chapter 7: 21-22. They tell Jesus did we not prophecy in your name and cast out Devils in your name and do great works? But, Jesus will say to them depart from me you workers of inequity I never knew you.

Most of these people are con men deceivers. I am not so gullible as to believe that they actually believe the stuff they peddle. I guess there could be a few simple minded exceptions in the group but the rest are simply religious acting con artists.

They use scriptures without understanding because they have none. They have no Holy Spirit to give it to them. They are followed by those who do not read God’s word. They would rather listen to people who tickle their itching ears. They could all be board members of the First Church of the Flesh.

These leaders claim to be apostles, prophets and healers and they claim to be great anointed people of God but they really are the wolves in sheep’s clothing that the Bible warns us against.

People wonder why I say the “Word of Faith” movement is a false gospel cult. Well, what movement produced the prideful presumptive demonic “third wave” movement and the prosperity gospel? They distort everything in the Bible. So much so, that their Jesus cannot even be found in any honest study of the Bible.

I think many of the “third wave” leaders are demon possessed and many of those who go to their gatherings are in danger of becoming demon possessed. Many of the regulars who go to their meetings display manifestations of occult demon possession. They are not of sound mind. Neither Jesus Christ, nor the Holy Spirit is in the tabernacle.

If you are following these people run! You are playing with fire.

Bible Prophecy Today | Bible Prophecy News and Commentary by Today’s Leading Bible Prophecy Scholars | News and Commentary from a Biblical Perspective

Will the Church soon be showered with the wealth of the unrighteous, thus being able to fund the last, great global harvest of souls? Again quoting C. Peter Wagner, “I think the time is ripe for those of us who are apostles to begin to understand the crucial role we have in God’s plan to release the wealth of the wicked for the advance of the kingdom of God.”[2]

But what does the Bible say? Pursuing a historical-grammatical interpretation—in other words, interpreting the Bible as it reads—try as one might, one cannot find this view supported in the Bible.

Dealing first with the “wealth transfer” notion, indeed, we do find that there is a great wealth transfer prophesied in Scripture. However, it has nothing to do with the Church, but rather applies to Israel and the Millennial period.

There are many other problems with the last-day wealth transfer notion applying to the Church. For example, it is claimed that there will yet be a last-day global harvest before the Lord returns, and that the Church will need great wealth to fund this objective as well as eradicating poverty in the world. Says Wagner, “In order to possess the gate of wealth to, among other things, develop plans to eradicate systemic poverty, we need to develop new structures of intercession to do the spiritual warfare necessary to transfer wealth.[3]”

However, the Bible says directly otherwise. Clearly implying that there would be little faith upon earth when He returns,

So is there a great, last-day wealth transfer to the Church? Scripture easily and clearly settles this question. Yet, theologians who should have sufficient knowledge of what the Bible says[4] instead prefer to trust their own intuitions and prophecies. This recent statement from Apostle Peter (also known as C. Peter Wagner) provides an example of such vanity, in which he appears to make his own decrees supersede Scripture. Spoken on the great reverential authority of the claimed office of an early New Testament apostle, he literally commands the earth’s obedience. Not even the first Apostle Peter spoke with such licence. (One also wonders why the foundations of the New Jerusalem will be named after the original 12 apostles and not more? —See Revelation 21:14.)

“I hereby take the apostolic authority that I have been given by God. I decree that vast amounts of wealth will be released supernaturally, even from godless and pagan sources. I decree that large numbers of God’s chosen people will be empowered in fresh and creative ways to gain wealth according to Deuteronomy 8:18. New inventions will multiply. Disruptive technologies will change the life patterns of the whole human race. The earth will disgorge vast riches of hidden resources. These will be entrusted to God’s agents. Profits will increase exponentially. It is spoken. So may it come to pass! Amen and amen!”[5]

Today, as all too frequently with other Third Wave Christian movements supposedly marked by “fresh moves of the Spirit,” new or revised theologies have been revealed on the strength of new prophecies uttered by their own prophets. The serious issue here is that these prophecies serve to revise what God originally said through his prophets and Scripture. Indeed, such revisions are not a new phenomenon, having been the mark of many if not all apostate movements or beliefs.

The true Church of the last days, if anything, is more of a remnant than it is resplendent with wealth. Revelation 3:8 says that the church of the “open door” is weak and feeble; far from being imbued with worldly power and wealth. It is this little Philadelphian band of believers, to which is promised, “Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth” (Revelation 3:10). If the Third Wave movements are correct, one wonders why it is the rich Laodicean church that is being reprimanded by Christ.

When will we believe acts of God are acts of God?

Is America now under judgment? When are acts of God acts of God? Has America done anything worthy of judgment? You be the judge.

  • So far this year we are involved in two foreign wars with another war being a distinct possibility.
  • We have had unprecedented numbers of tornadoes.
  • The Mid-West floods have been catastrophic.
  • More of California has burned this year then in any year in history and the fires are still burning with a fire season that still has a long way to go

On the Economic Front.

  • Falling Real estate values have caused the greatest financial crises since the great depression.
  • Tens of millions are losing equity in there homes, millions are losing their homes.
  • The stock market is down 20 percent and pension funds and insurance will also lose at least that much value.
  • Banks, brokerage firms and corporations are failing and need to be bailed out by the government.
  • The U.S. dollar is the weakest it has been in modern times.
  • Gasoline prices are four times what they were a few years ago.
  • Heating bills will be much higher this winter.
  • All electric bills are about to shoot up about twenty percent in one year.
  • Food prices are up 10 to 20 percent this year.
  • Inflation across the board is the worst in years and most of the costs have not even been passed through yet.
  • Services in the U.S. are becoming unreliable.
  • Unemployment is on the rise and it is going to get much higher.
  • Due to falling revenues state and local governments are going to run into major deficit problems

Crime and amorality

  • Gangs have taken over much of our inner cities.
  • Drug trafficking is epidemic.
  • Illegal drugs are used by a very large percentage of our population.
  • 2.2 million people are in prison in this nation. This is the highest incarceration rate in the world.
  • There are 10 to 20 million people in this country illegally.
  • One in four adults in the U.S. has a VD. Homosexual males have a ten year shorter life span, yet, the pushing of homosexuality and sexual promiscuity is all over the media and sexual perversion is taught in our schools as normal healthy lifestyles and this is forced on suggestible children.
  • Homosexual marriage is now legal in two states.
  • There have been 50 million abortions in the U.S. and taxpayers in one way or another are paying much of the cost. Much of the black population in the U.S. is being aborted but most black leaders keep promoting it.
  • Scams and rip-off schemes are epidemic especially on the Internet.

Politics.

  • Congress has a nine percent approval rating.
  • Judges are legislating law from the bench contrary to the Constitution.
  • Special interest groups control almost all politicians and it is now almost impossible to get incumbents out of office.
  • Thanks to the voters we have two choices for the President that want more globalism and more socialism. Both will bring in a liberal supreme court. Both will pass hate speech laws that will negatively impact Christians.

Religion.

  • A generation of seeker friendly services has watered down much of what is left of Evangelical Christianity.
  • The Emergent movement is redefining biblical truths and downplaying biblical doctrine.
  • Most claiming to be Christians are biblically illiterate not having read through the Bible even once in their lives, far less have understanding of the passages in context.
  • People flaunting their sins are put in church leadership roles.
  • Psychology theories originated from the occult have corrupted much Christian counseling and other programs.
  • New Age pagan thought is now all over the media and is being accepted by many claiming to be Christians.
  • Much of the youth is leaving Christianity for postmodern relativism

If God were to continue judging this nation what might our immediate future hold?

  • The economy would continue to decline.
  • Hyperinflation is a very real possibility.
  • Unemployment may become a very serious issue.
  • There could be much greater weather related storms, droughts and crop failures.
  • Major earthquakes would become likely.
  • Major volcanic activity is certainly possible.
  • Leadership in government could continue to get worse (even lower then scraping the bottom).
  • Terrorist attacks would become likely.
  • Hate speech laws will be passed and constitutional freedoms will be redefined by the courts. Government tyranny will become a major issue.
  • A nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack may happen. It would leave the nation helpless without electric for months or years. (This would be the ultimate judgment it would most likely bring the complete collapse of our society).
  • The complete collapse of our economic system is possible.
  • Collapse of our social system and declining into anarchy is possible.
  • The break up of the Union is possible.

The Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Don’t you think it would be wise for people in this nation to fear the Lord instead of Him having to send correction because we will not do what is right?

The Temple Institute’s and the Jews postmodern relativism and revisionism.

First of all, this article is not exactly true the Temple Institute did not just begin preparing for the Third Temple by making priestly garbs. The Temple Institute has been preparing for the building of the Third Temple for decades. It is interesting to watch the effort continue but remember, these Jews do not believe in Jesus and what they say is often self serving and scripturally just plain wrong. For Example: Rabbi Yehuda Glick in this article says the prophets say that all the nations will be coming to Jerusalem and take part in building the Third Temple and that it will unite the nations around one central house of prayer.

What prophets wrote that I might ask? The ones I read in the Bible actually said that all the nations will come against Jerusalem to destroy it in an attempt to cut off Israel from being a nation.

All nations will be judged at Jerusalem when God stands up for Israel for the sake of His own holy name and his unbreakable Covenants to Israel. After that period of nearly complete destruction on earth a fourth Kingdom Temple will be set up when Jesus comes to rule and reign in His Kingdom on earth. The Kingdom Temple will be north of the Temple mount area (Ezekiel chapter 40 - 48) it is too big for Mt Moriah. Even Ezekiel in these passages on the Millennial Kingdom did not say anything about the nations coming to Jerusalem to build the Kingdom Temple. Although the wealth of the nations will be used toward that end. The only thing the nations will be coming to Jerusalem for prior to the establishment of the Millennial Kingdom will be for their judgment.

There are indications in scripture that indicate that a third temple will be built on Mount Moriah and that the daily sacrifice will be started again but the same passage says the daily sacrifice will be stopped and that the Antichrist will enter this temple and defile it claiming to be above anything called God. Scriptures also indicate that this period will start the worst time on earth that ever was or ever will be (Mt 24:21). So in reality when they start building the temple they will really be setting the stage for the fulfillment of the prophecy about the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer chap 30). Perhaps these Rabies should read these scriptures and the destruction that all their prophets talked about instead of skipping over that part and telling us that all nations will come to help build their Third Temple. Only a minority remnant of Jews will even survive the time after the desecration of the Third Temple.

It is interesting how the religious Jews spin the scriptures to read what they want to read into it. Postmodern Christians are now doing the same thing but make no mistake, judgment will come before any lasting restoration of Israel and the Church is not going to bring the Kingdom on earth by Christian social actions.

Another thing I wish to point out is that Glick and other Rabies like him like the support that the Christian Evangelicals give but they have also heard from the Evangelicals about the second coming of
Jesus. They have heard what we say scripture says about the judgment coming to Israel but they have rejected that message and substituted it with their own postmodern relativism by reading into scripture what they want to hear rather than what it actually says. All religions in the world can talk about religious pluralism and how the world will all become one but that is not what God says in the Bible. There will be no uniting of the world until the King of Peace comes, judges the nations and sinners and establishes His Kingdom on the earth.

Third Temple preparations begin with priestly garb | Jerusalem Post

On Monday, the Temple Institute started preparing to build a Third Temple on Jerusalem’s Mount Moriah, the site of the Dome of the Rock and the Aksa mosque, by inaugurating a workshop that manufactures priestly garments.

Priestly garments have not been worn since the destruction of the Second Temple by Rome in 70 CE and cannot be functional until a Third Temple is constructed.

The secret of the correct shade of blue has been lost since the destruction of the Second Temple, as the identity of chilazon, the snail from which it was extracted, was uncertain until the Ptil Tekhelet nonprofit organization identified it as the murex trunculus, aka hexaplex trunculus, the banded dye-murex found near the Mediterranean Sea.

“The Temple is not a message [just for] the Jewish people. It reunites the world all around one central prayer house. All the prophets say that at the End Times all the nations will be coming to Jerusalem and take part of building [the Temple],” Glick says.

China’s missing women reveal the end of the age.

There is going to be a documentary on HBO on Monday July 16th about China’s holocaust.

Let we just offer some thoughts while that critical world issue is on my mind. You can also find this and similar information on my website. (World trends section)

I have been saying that the male female imbalance in China, India and other Far East countries will make up much of the 200 million man army mentioned by Revelation that is prepared for a hour, day, a month, and a year to destroy one third of men on the earth. That army is this one and it will peak in about 25 years.

I say that because the first men of this surplus were born thirty years ago so they will be over 55 and become to old for the army by 2033. China also plans to stop this sex-selection imbalance by 2010. So the surplus male babies will be old enough for this army after 2025. So somewhere between 2025 and 2033 I expect this prophetic war but I also expect it to be when the surplus of men of fighting age peaks. So this means it will probably be closer to 2030-2033.

Also remember they come toward the end of the tribulation so just on this one prophetic event alone it looks like we have only about 15 years until the start of the seventy week of Daniel. I am one of the few that suspects the first seals and the rapture occur a few years before the seventy week because I think the Jews will fulfill it and that it actually starts with the sealing of the 144,000 Jews for their end time commission to preach the gospel of the coming kingdom as a witness. Then the end will come.

All other world trends that I document on my website link above points to the same time period. So expect the next decade to set the stage for all the events of the 70th week of Daniel that will be actually fulfilled in the 2022-2033 period. With that in mind time is getting very short because the rapture, the ride of the four horsemen, the coming persecution at the fifth seal could actually start in a decade.

Look at the world today in any direction that it is heading and you should see these things cannot go on!

China’s continuing 1-child holocaust documented

China’s coercive one-child policy has resulted in sex-selection abortions of some 40 million baby girls and leads to about 70,000 children being sold every year, reveals a new undercover documentary to be shown on HBO next Monday.

“China’s Stolen Children,” narrated by Ben Kingsley, was made by filmmakers posing as tourists and tells of the after-effects of the country’s strict population-control limit of one child per couple through the personal stories of several families.

Headed into its 30th year, the one-child policy is characterized as “the world’s largest experiment in social engineering.” It focuses on the plight of children sold out of fear of government punishment or stolen because of the nation’s unnatural shortage of offspring.

Because of the Chinese government’s obsession with being accepted as a member of the community of civilized nations, Beijing is portrayed as more interested in covering up the epidemic of child theft than in addressing the problem.

Only imagine when the bell Tolles for you that you will never be found on Tolle’s New Earth

Due to overwhelming interest on my Oprah and Tolle Blog post I am posting another opinion of Tolle’s “A New Earth” book.
The teaser quotes that I am putting below is just a small sample of the articles. I cannot do justice to Debra Rae’s article here you have to read the full articles.

I just want to make it clear to everyone that Tolle’s teaching in ” A New Earth” is totally contrary to the fundamental truths of Christianity and Christian Orthodoxy. It is Old Age and New Age paganism originated with the lie of the Serpent and man’s rebellion. It first reared its ugly head in force at Babylon. Those that embrace and promote Tolle’s satanic views are certainly in danger of eternal damnation.

If you have a problem with my statement read this article because Debra Rae will clearly tell you what is wrong with Tolle’s message so there is no need for me to repeat it.

If you actually read the article and you still have a problem with what I said. It just shows that you are still dead in your sins, not knowing Christ. You therefore need to get saved. Here is everything you need to know about how to be saved.  So there is no need for me to repeat the salvation message to any Tolle supporters who read this post either. Just read my article.

If you respond making it clear to me they you did not even read Debra Ray’s articles (or my article if you support Tolle) your comment will be deleted.

If you respond by attacking me for presenting this article or for what I said in this comment. I now give you fair warning that your comment will be deleted and you will be banned from this Blog. If you have a problem with what Ray said contact Debra Ray. If you have a problem with what I said even after you read my salvation article. Tough!

This post is here for Christian eduction purposes. It is not to start a debate with every New Age believer in the Internet Universe. That will also shortly stop on other such posts.

Debra Rae — Only Imagine Tolle’s New Earth, Part 1
Debra Rae — Only Imagine Tolle’s New Earth, Part 2

In A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle contends that “no situation or event is ever really finished,” and the “only place of power” is the present moment. By avowing “no heaven, no hell, just now,” purportedly enlightened folks, as he, presume to wriggle free from accountability to a righteous God. In effect, these become self-proclaimed laws unto themselves.

This mindset is not new. Humanist Manifestos assert that false hope of “heaven hereafter” is unreasonable and, therefore, harmful.

Notwithstanding, secular and cosmic humanists alike actively reject and attempt to eradicate traditional theism. To Tolle, the sacred Name of God is attributed to a company of highly evolved masters (Jesus among them), each of whom claims transcendent consciousness and common divinity with all life—in Motulsky’s words, “fallible humans with total power.”

To dispute this fallacy, one need only recall the burning bush, through which YHWH revealed to Moses His Name, I AM that I AM. When Jesus ascribed to himself equal I-AM status, his captors fell backward under its power. It stands to reason that Jesus was either God Incarnate—the way, truth and life, as he claimed to be—or he was an unsurpassed liar. In either case, Jesus was not merely “a good man” or, as the case may be, “an ascended master” (Tolle’s assertion).

Not only does he demote the one whose name is above all names, Tolle promotes Self to “Godhood”—namely, the Source, Divine Life Essence, “formlessness” (or spirit). Unbeknownst to many New-Earth enthusiasts, his creed rehashes a spirit-channeled revelation of Theosophist-medium Alice Bailey, probably the most notable founder of contemporary New Age mysticism.

In Tolle’s misguided view, Christ is every man and woman. True, he references “universal law,” but Tolle ascribes the Ten Commandments as necessary only for those cut off from their own “I AM”-ness. Note that it was not Tolle, but rather co-Masonic Hierarch Alice Bailey who conceptualized and coined the term for this—namely, “Christhood.” This, my friend, exceeds folly. It is blasphemy. For such arrogance, even the angel Lucifer was cast in shame from heaven!

The Gospel according to Tolle further asserts that belief in Christianity as ultimate Truth serves ego by creating “an illusory sense of superiority.” Never mind that self-proclaimed “spiritual leader” Eckhart Tolle boasts his own pantheistic Self-deification! Although both opposing worldviews presuppose “union with the divine,” Christians alone bow the knee, acknowledge their sin and accept unmerited favor from a merciful, personal God to whom they remain accountable. In contrast, Tolle and followers grasp for themselves Godhood itself.

One of these two mindsets most certainly creates the “illusory sense of superiority,” but it’s plainly not the way of the Cross.

In Tolle’s world, when advanced, highly evolved humans seize “Presence power,” their consciousness shifts from the illusory “sweet by and by” to power-packed Presence. No longer are they hindered by the “mental idolatry” of blissful eternity with “our God.” They have instead come to accept their common divinity with all of Life. Having triumphed over matter by self-mastery, the fully “conscious” trade their tradition-bound “phantom selves” for their purported “I AM”-ness.

Achieving mastery qualifies awakened adepts to act as “Custodians of the Plan” and to watch over and even guide all of humanity’s spiritual progress. In so doing, these work hard to extinguish forces of darkness/evil—i.e., Jews and Christians. The desired outcome is for the old “Piscean Age” with its obsolete traditionalism to give way to an anticipated “Age of Aquarius,” marked by promises of peace, harmony and brotherhood.

Debra Rae — Only Imagine Tolle’s New Earth, Part 2
Regretfully, “A New Earth” à la Tolle counterfeits the “real deal”—that being, the impending Millennial Rule of Christ on earth. In effect, Tolle’s “New Earth” exchanges the closest thing to utopia since the Garden of Eden for what the apostle Paul has aptly labeled an outright lie.

Then again, Tolle has his own take on sanity and wellness: To resist evolutionary emerging consciousness is plain-and-simple insanity, and to embrace traditional belief systems is to be unwell. Proclaiming “My God” or “our God” is what he demeans as “a mental idol,” thus making oneself “right” and others “wrong.”

In fact, Tolle predicts that rigid belief structures like biblical Christianity are destined to collapse.

In Tolle’s world, global unity is perceived as imperative to proper flow of the god-force. Once humanity takes a “quantum leap” to its higher destiny, mystical powers and psychic ability will flourish; however, the reluctant may need to be removed to a nonphysical dimension, where their karma can catch up before they are allowed back to the physical plane!

Tolle characterizes Christianity as divisive and prohibitive. This, he claims, creates “an illusory sense of superiority” not to be found in New-Earth consciousness, but then Tolle clearly distinguishes between the “conscious” and the “unconscious,” “the perfect” and the “not-so-perfect.”

Bottom line: There’s no need for pie-in-the-sky imaginings when biblical Christianity outright delivers in the here-and-now and also throughout eternity. The redeemed in Christ can bank on it, and “whosoever will” are invited

The World Council of Churches and tyrants.

Make no mistake about it. The World Council of Churches is a really demented Marxist outfit. There is nothing Christian about them. They are on the wrong side of every moral and political issue. They never seen a tyrant they could not kiss up to and North Korean tyrant Kim Jong II who murders Christians is just their kind of man. Any Church that gives aid to the WCC needs very serious spiritual help.

FrontPage Magazine

Naturally, the World Council of Churches, which never found a Marxist tyranny it could not warmly coddle, much preferred South Korea’s previous “Sunshine” policy, which funneled endless aid into North Korean coffers without reciprocity. South Korea’s cash strewn detente with Kim Jong Il further enriched the dictator and his infamous military/police apparatus.

The WCC, which never expresses a peep about North Korea’s brutal police state, is quite concerned about South Korea’s new expectation of reciprocity from North Korea, instead of just endless, cost-free bribes. So soon to retire WCC chief Samuel Kobia has implored President Lee to reconsider.

“Your Excellency, we see this shift in South Korea’s policy toward North Korea as potentially hindering the efforts for peace and reunification on the Korean Peninsula,” Kobia wrote Lee in a July 1 letter. “ It is in this context, on behalf of the World Council of Churches and its member constituencies all over the world, that I urge you to take all possible measures to avoid any deterioration of inter-Korean relations.”

Kobia observed to President Lee that he WCC has been “monitoring” the Korean Peninsula for several decades. By “monitoring,” Kobia means that the WCC has tirelessly advocated full U.S. withdrawal from South Korea and reunification with North Korea, while ignoring the seeming inconsequentiality that North Korea is ruled by a deranged tyrant who alternates between starving and brutalizing his suffering population. The WCC prefers to ignore North Korea’s impoverishing communism and militarism as the root cause of the Koreas’ division, preferring instead to blame the U.S. and its allies in South Korea.

Is Todd Bentley a False Prophet? - CWN

Is Todd Bentley a False Prophet? -
Is Lakeland a False Revival?

How gullible can people possibly be to support and/or defend this clown?!

Someone might say: “How can you imply that Todd Bentley is a false prophet?!” My reply: Because I can read. Can you read? Have you and are you daily searching the Holy Scriptures?

Giving a ray of comfort to Word Faith teachers

In this article Ken Silva gives his views why Ray Comfort should not speak on the same platform of these Word Faith Wolves. I also read Ray Comfort’s points of view as well as another view. Ray basically says he would preach the gospel anywhere (and Ray it is not just their prosperity message that is heretical). Saying your going to preach the gospel sounds good but often life is not that simple. Preaching the gospel and having your name being used to promote a different gospel could be two different things.

Would Paul go to a Gnostic convention to preach the gospel knowing that they wanted to use his name to promote lying Gnosticism? Would he stand with them and not condemn the things they said that were contrary to the truth? You know he would not.

I knew and still know some word of faith people. They know the gospel that Ray preaches so they already heard the salvation message. The problem is not that they have not heard the gospel of salvation the problem with Word Faith is that they add their own pet heresies to the gospel. They go beyond what the scripture says and twist the scriptures for their own ends. So Ray do you really want to follow John Avanzini after he gives his hundred fold blessing message and act as if you did not hear his heretical insanity? If Todd Bentley were there would you follow the Todd Bentley Bam Bam Bam show with guest appearance by his “angel” Emma?

Much the same can be said about following the messages of the other World Faith specialists. Yeah, they have well known specialists. Everyone specializes in their own narrow area of fame and they parade their services for sale like like some side show of freaks at a carnival. I suspect they think you want to do the same in your area of expertise. After all, someone must give something that sounds like a legitimate Christian message of salvation to validate the whole carnival act. God forbid if you actually tried to correct God’s anointed.

Well that’s my two cents worth, read Ken Silva’s view.

Ray Comfort Should Not Share The Platform With Word Faith Wolves - CWN

What is at issue however is Comfort sharing the platform next week at the Inspiring Excellence conference (IEC) with John Avanzini, Jesse Duplantis and Rod Parsley among others. [1] No one can correctly say that any of those men preach the historic orthodox Christian faith. Rather, each is clearly aligned with the cult of the Word Faith movement. And as brothers and sisters in Christ we should be able to discuss issues like this without it wrongly being perceived as an attack upon Ray Comfort himself.

If this was the first time that Comfort had been publicly yoked with these men by sharing their platform with them that would be another matter entirely; but this will be the third time he is involved with IEC. The facts show that Ray Comfort spoke at this conference in July of 2005, as did Avanzini and Duplantis, along with Word Faith cult leader Kenneth Copeland. [2] In addition Ray was also a “Special Speaker” in 2007. [3]

Obama’s own words tell us why he is not a true Christian

Anyone who reads this will know what Obama is not. By the words coming from his own mouth Obama could not be a Christian. I say let the man speak for himself!

Barack Obama—the Muslim Christian? - CWN

So who, exactly, is Barack Obama? It’s only fair to let the man speak for himself: (Click link above)

Summery:

And so, my friends and associates, that is the gospel according to Barack Obama. Senator Obama believes you can be a Christian and not believe in the biblical Jesus Christ. He believes you can support homosexuality—including civil marriages and adoptions—and still be a follower of Jesus Christ. Barack Obama believes the taking of innocent life in the form of an unborn child is acceptable under most circumstances. He believes there is more than one way to God. He has never publicly renounced the Prophet Mohammed. This is the “Christianity” of Barack Obama, who seems to think he can take historic theology and spin it like cotton candy.

But the bottom line in life is that words have specific meanings. A heart is a heart—it can never be a lung. Definition is the foundation of logic, and logic fuels a rational society. Barack Obama may use and abuse the name “Christian,” but as long as he rejects the biblical definition of Christianity, he can never be one.

More Books and Things Blog says Bye Bye to Greg Laurie, as do I.

I feel the pain of Carla at More Books and Things for having to take out her link to Greg Laurie. I always liked the preaching and teaching of Greg Laurie. I had him in my website link directory but took him out when I got a email from a good discernment website saying he was using a poor paraphrase of the Bible called “The Message” in his teaching and I think they thought he was into contemplative prayer. I read some of Laurie’s stuff since that time and it sounded pretty good so I figured he got over it or it was all just an overreaction. So I put him back in my links.

However, a few months ago we started getting the Calvary Chapel network at my location and I was catching his radio program every morning for a couple of months. I noticed on his radio program that Laurie was still using that terrible paraphrase of the Bible called “The Message” because it contained a message that got his own message across (never mind that the words in The Message” much too often are not what the Bible says). I also began to notice that every morning he would take a small passage of the Bible and start teaching about it. Soon thereafter he would proceed to take the audience on some daily rabbit trail that had nothing to do with the study of the Book he was teaching. In other words he was constantly editorializing and giving his views on whatever he wanted to communicate to the world as well as teaching the book.

I expect quite a bit of that from Calvary Chapel teachers and he certainly can do that if he wants but he was also making leaps of logic taking subjective passages anyway he wanted that no one can get from any reading of the scriptures. He would even make up stories about why certain things happened in the Bible that the Bible says nothing about. In other words Laurie was reading into scripture what he wanted in order to get his views for the day across.

A good percent of the time I could not agree with his conclusions. Seems to me he was often giving salvation hope in one sentence and implying much too often that his listeners were probably not saved if they were not living their lives according to his subjective reasoning of the day. Anyway, that was my opinion and my wife’s as well, without any prodding from me. So I recently took his link out. I did not know he also supporting Rick Warren. That would just have been another reason to take him out. I have to admit they do seem to share some of the same confusion, as do many postmodern evangelicals.

Nothing against you Greg, you probably mean well but if you are confusing me I think you are confusing many other Christians as well. So Bye Bye Greg!

More Books and Things…: A thing I must do today

I was very disappointed when I discovered Greg Laurie’s support of RW. He has been influential in my family for such a long time.

And so, as I feel so strongly about all things Purpose Driven, today I am driven to do the unthinkable. I just cannot compromise on this one. As of today, you will no longer see Greg Laurie’s daily devotional or the harvest.org link in my side column. It’s a sad day when we have to do things like this, but the line must be drawn if we are to be faithful to the Lord.

So called Conservatives and heterosexuals destroyed marriage.

This article was an eye opener. You might not want to hear what Dr Johnston has to say but what can you say when he documents the truth? So we can make a big thing out of homosexual marriage as if that is the chief problem but if we are not seeing the big spiritual problem in the church and in the West toward the covenant of marriage and what God said in the Bible we are never going to get to the root of the marriage problem and all the other garbage that goes along with the destruction of marriage. Then the only thing left is judgment and judgment starts with the house of God.

Dr. Patrick Johnston — How Heterosexuals Destroyed Marriage

When the California Supreme Court declared in a 4 to 3 ruling in May that California must allow homosexuals to marry under the same terms and conditions as heterosexuals, they caricatured the arguments against gay marriage as bigoted and unconstitutional. Nevermind that the voters in California overwhelming voted down gay marriage – “equality” trumps tradition, especially when you’ll be hailed by the New York Times for your “historic” and “momentus” courage in this “victory for equality and justice.”

The most useful part of this ruling is that it exposes a fatal flaw in the arguments conservatives have consistently brought forth, in jurisprudence and in legislation, to defend conservative ideals against assault from the left. Useful, that is, if we learn from it. Our strategy for protecting marriage was destined for failure from the beginning, just as is our strategy to fix public education, protect the preborn from death by abortion, and restore our God-given liberties. It’s a bitter pill, but the diagnosis of severe maladies is always a bitter pill that must be swallowed before the remedy becomes palatable.

Under the political leadership of those anointed by conservative groups, we have:

1. Accepted “civil unions” as an alternative to gay marriage,

2. Reformed public education by increasing the funding of the government bureaucracy and programs that foster sexual immorality among school children,

3. Promoted a “culture of life” by regulating the child-killing and justifying abortion in cases of rape, incest, and maternal health

Obama: Christian or Universalism?

Here is the uncut interview where Obama talks about his faith. Each Christian should read Obama’s own confessions instead of relying on second hand information. From what I read in Obama’s replies in this interview and his other statements Obama is a pluralist that believes in Universalism. These beliefs are in direct conflict with the Christian message of salvation for those who believe in Jesus Christ for redemption from sin and condemnation for those who do not.

Obama Denies Christ in His Own Words (Resources)

Cathleen Falsani, the author of The God Factor: Inside the Spiritual Lives of Public People, interviewed Barack Obama about his faith March 27, 2004, a few days after he clinched the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat that he eventually won.

Because of the intense interest in Obama’s faith, she has made the entire interview available uncut and in its entirety.

Do you really know about Christianity?

If you cannot answer the statements below you probably do not know about true Christianity. In that case this article is talking to you.

A Worthless Witness for Christ - CWN

Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and any other religious ‘ism’s’ out there.

Surely, you can defend and proclaim your faith against these demonically inspired religions. Can’t you?

What about the Christian Cults and false teaching?

Ah, this is where it gets interesting.

Do you know why Mormon, Catholic, and Jehovah’s Witness doctrines (to name a few) lead people astray?

Can you explain to others how and why the teachings of today’s prominent ‘prosperity’ and ‘social’ gospel pastors deceive their flocks?

Have you warned those within ear shot of the demonic dangers and the Salvation ending results of the New Age movement and Eastern mysticism entering the front doors of our Churches today?

Do you sound the call against spiritual perversion such as the Lost Gospels, The Secret, The DaVinci Code, Oprah’s promotion of the New Age program ‘A Course in Miracles,’ and Eckart Tolle’s ‘A New Earth?’ To name a few.

Anglicans rejecting the nation who brought them the gospel because British Anglicans now have a false gospel.

Well it has come full circle. The African natives that the Anglican’s converted are now rejecting the seat of power of the Anglicans because the Anglicans in Britain now reject the true gospel for a false one.

It is obvious that The Christian Church is more healthy in third world nations then it is in Britain and everyone knows it except for the British who generally could care less about Christianity anyway.

Its time for the Africans to send missionaries to convert the new generation of Brits.

Anglican Church conservatives move to form power bloc - International Herald Tribune

Anglican conservatives, frustrated by the ongoing stalemate over homosexuality in the Anglican Communion, declared Sunday that they would defy the church’s historic lines of authority and establish a new power bloc within the church that will be led by a council of predominantly African archbishops.

The announcement came at the close of an unprecedented meeting in Jerusalem by conservatives, who contend that they represent a majority of the 77 million members of the Anglican Communion.

They depicted their efforts as the culmination of an anti-colonial struggle against the church’s seat of power in Britain, whose missionaries first brought Anglican Christianity to the developing world. The conservatives say that many of the descendants of those Anglican missionaries in Britain and North America are now following what they call a “false gospel” that allows a malleable, liberal interpretation of Scripture.

One well known way to bring God’s judgment on Israel

You would think that the Jews would learn but God calls them a stubborn people for a reason. God cast out the Jews for such practices before and now they are at it again. God does not change. Seems that there are a lot of people in the world who want to test God. I do not think that this is very wise and I will be proved right.

Homosexuals march on Jerusalem (OneNewsNow.com)

Christian Zionist Jim Hutchens says the recent homosexual pride parade in Jerusalem merely contributed to the moral climate that will bring about the besieging of Jerusalem foretold by prophets of the Bible.

Homosexuals and their supporters marched through the Holy City Thursday in direct defiance of the Hebraic scriptures as Orthodox Jews held a counter protest nearby. The so-called “gay pride” parade was allowed to proceed after Israel’s Supreme Court rejected a petition to ban the event.

Hutchens, president of The Jerusalem Connection International (TJCI), says the Bible warns of a worldwide moral decline that affects the Holy Land as well. “There is a judgment that God brings worldwide and on Israel, as a matter of fact. And I think those are the events that lead up to what we refer to as Armageddon, the apocalyptic besieging of Jerusalem,” Hutchens contends.

Another conference to tell Christians how to tap dance around the gospel!

I find this article and the conference that Jonathan Falwell is promoting at Thomas Road Baptist Church to be almost beyond belief. Just take a look at some of the people leading the conference. Some of them happen to be part of the problem.

I have news for Jonathan Falwell the Church is not to blame for pseudo Christianity being in crisis. The Church is doing quite fine as always. Pseudo Christianity is in crises because it has no salvation message. They are telling the world what they think they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. They want to tickle their ears instead of telling them the simple salvation message in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Where are the Pauls, the Billy Sundays the Billy Grahams for this generation? They are not speaking at this conference. The Bible says Moses was the most humble man that ever lived but did he put on what we call humility. Did Moses look for some nebulous balance between grace and truth? What do you mean that only in the world’s meaning of humility can we communicate the Gospel? Where is that in scripture? The humility of Moses was his total dependence on God. Moses’ message was uncompromising. When he went before Pharaoh did he put on what the world calls humility today. No. He was bold and told Pharaoh what God told him! We do not need more Uriah Heap’s in the Church.

I have more news for Jonathan Falwell. Evangelicals are looked down on by young non Christians because they are being indoctrinated to do so in their schools and on media. Yet, the Southern Baptist Convention just killed a resolution to remove their children from public schools. Your not going to change the public schools in this nation until moral people take action that threaten the very existence of public schools should they continue on this path of anti-Christian anti-God indoctrination and their promotion of amorality.

Falwell seems to suggest that the answer is a conference to find worldly ways to find new ways to tap dance around biblical truths. If so, then welcome to the postmodern church but don’t confuse it with the Church or Christianity. I simply do not see Paul having a conference to tell pastors how to stop the rise of hatred toward those preaching the gospel. Paul taught the gospel and died for it as did many who followed him. The Church needs to teach the gospel today more than ever. The reason why people are against Christianity is because they are not Christians. We are losing this nation because the gospel is not being taught anywhere anymore, even in the pulpits.

You should know that the Church is not going to win a popularity contest. Jesus said the world would hate us. You think in these last days of mass indoctrination and mass communication that this is simply going to be less of a problem?

The Church needs a conference to tell the leaders to get back to the basics and preach the gospel to every creature. The Church need to tell the truth to the world without compromise and let the chips fall where they may! Salvation is the only way to change people’s thinking and that is achieved by preaching the gospel.

What we don’t need is another damn conference to come up with worldly ways to redefine our message to reach the postmodern world! If you really want to do something about losing the youth you will deal with the core problems that are corrupting them, it certainly is not the Christian message. Unless what you are really preaching is not the Christian message at all and they can see through the hypocrisy.

“Christians” need to start acting like real men and quit kowtowing to the immoral people that are being allowed to subvert the next generation by allowing them to set their own educational and media agendas! We were told what would happen in the last days so preach the good news, suck it up, and start taking care of your own family like men.

Christianity in crisis

Mr. Kinnaman further states, “In just a decade, the perception of evangelicals has become eight times less favorable among young non-Christians when compared to the image held by boomer non-Christians.”

And while I believe this perception of Christians is at least partially because of the constant negative portrayals of us in the mainstream media, I also believe that we – Christians – are largely to blame for the negative way in which we are seen.

While we are confronting the culture with the Gospel, I think we have often forgotten to consider how we are being received by the world around us.

I think the church has sometimes forgotten that faith produces humility: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” (James 4:10). And it is only in our humility that we can effectively communicate the Gospel.

Mr. Kinnaman asks two important questions in his article: “How does a messenger of God strike the right balance between grace and truth? How does a teacher of the Bible help point people toward a holy God, without creating the opposite effect of putting up false barriers to Him?”

That is why I have initiated the Innovate Church Christian Leaders Conference that is being hosted by Thomas Road Baptist Church Aug. 11-13 in Lynchburg, Va. I’ve invited some of our nation’s leading church innovators and theologians to train pastors, Christian leaders and laymen how to become more confident and effective ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

Special guests will include: Rick Warren, senior pastor of Saddleback Church; Chuck Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship; Jim Cymbala, pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle; Tom Mullins, senior pastor of Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Ed Stetzer, church planter and director of Lifeway Research; Dr. Ergun Caner, president of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary; Sheri Rose Shepherd, best-selling author and speaker; Mathew Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel and dean of the Liberty University School of Law; and many others.

Shack full of deception

Jan Markell put a nice article together on the “Shack”. Popular Book’s like the Shack with a very twisted Christian theme is how Satan is subtly working in the Church today to redefining Christianity to an all inclusive all ways to God world religion. So you can see why most who call themselves Christians in the U.S. today do not believe that Jesus is the only way to God. And all of God’s people are just saying…Amen!

The Seductive and Subversive “Shack” - CWN

The Seductive and Subversive “Shack”
By Jan Markell

Many have asked me to comment on William P. Young’s ragingly popular book The Shack. Is this work of fiction really Christian? It is called by some as one of Christianity’s most influential books. One prominent endorser says it will “leave you craving for God.”

Yet people I respect highly, including Dr. Albert Mohler, President of Southern Baptist Seminary, calls it “undiluted heresy.” He maintains there is no way it can seriously address the issues of Christian faith.

The Shack is intended to bring about a new definition of the Christian faith. As Albert Mohler says, “This is totally seductive and subversive, but readers, even believers, don’t seem to mind.”

As writer and researcher Berit Kjos concludes, “Yet countless pastors and church leaders are delighting in its message. By ignoring (or redefining) sin and guilt, they embrace an inclusive but counterfeit ‘Christianity’ that draws crowds but distorts the Bible. Discounting Satan as well, they weaken God’s warnings about deception. No wonder His armor for today’s spiritual war became an early victim of this spreading assault on truth.”

Obama and idols?

I of course do not know if Obama actually has faith in idols or if he carries them around but just the fact that a “Christian” would accept an idol tells me that he could not be a believer. Why would foreigners even believe this? Obviously they do not believe that Obama is a Christian either. At least not in the sense that Jesus is the only way to God. Lets be clear about one thing Obama clearly said that he thinks there are other paths to God besides Christianity. That should tell any real Christian that Obama is just a great pretender.

Obama to get Hanuman idol-India-The Times of India

The idol is being presented to Obama as he is reported to be a Lord Hanuman devotee and carries with him a locket of the monkey god along with other good luck charms.

An hour-long prayer meeting to sanctify the idol was earlier organised at Sankat Mochan Dham and by Congress leader Brijmohan Bhama, Balmiki Samaj and the temple’s priests.

“Obama has deep faith in Lord Hanuman and that is why we are presenting an idol of Hanuman to him,” said Bhama.

Accepting the souvenir, Sauvage-Mar, who is chairperson of Democrats Abroad-India, said, “Obama has extended his thanks for the support.”

Are you a Christian or just a great pretender?

Cal Thomas has it right. You have denied the faith if you think there are other paths to God besides through Jesus Christ. So are you a Christian or just a great pretender? If you find yourself believing there are many paths to God you really should remove yourself from the Christian faith and quit corrupting our churches. Also, evangelical pastors and leaders need to take heed and teach the gospel often because 60 percent who attend evangelical churches have not heard it or understood it. Not to mention that in the mainline churches it is 83 percent. So is it any wonder that these “Christians” pick politicians who actually oppose the faith.

Do They Think Jesus Was a Liar? « FOX Forum « FOXNews.com

If there are many paths to heaven, Jesus suffered and died for nothing. He could have stayed in heaven, sent down a book of sayings and avoided crucifixion. Orthodox Christians have always believed – and their Bible teaches them — there is only one path to heaven and it is through Jesus Christ and him alone. One can believe whatever one wishes, but you can’t be considered a Christian without believing in this fundamental doctrine.

Christian churches have a lot of work to do in addressing biblical illiteracy, ignorance and, yes, heresy, in their midst. They might want to pay more attention to fixing what’s gone wrong among their members before expending too much energy on politics and politicians.
