It appears to be a near certainty that NATO will soon get involved in the action in Syria. They will probably get directly involved within a matter of days or a couple of weeks. The United States, France, and Great Britain have aircraft carriers in place and they have thousands of special forces ready to move into Syria to secure the Syrian WMD sites. Read more...
Can you imagine any of the Apostles appearing before millions of people but never giving the gospel message to them? Yet, the pastors of two of the largest churches in America, did just that, when appearing on three hours of Oprah’s Lifeclass program. Read more...
Billy Graham announced a 40 day fast and prayer program that starts before the election and that ends on November 7th with a special TV crusade. This is billed as a final warning to America with the hope that it might start a third awakening in America. Billy and other astute Christian leaders see that Judgment is coming if America does not repent. Now new-evangelicals, World of Faith and New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) heretics and Mormons seem to be already piling on this final warning to America bandwagon. Read more...
In 2009 Tom Horn gave us his theory in his book “Apollyon Rising 2012″ that the Antichrist would make himself known between the year 2009 and 2012. Three years later Horn has followed up with a book that has the False Prophet coming to power in late 2012. This book seems designed to complete his theory based on many private mystical and pagan prophecies that the Great Tribulation starts near the end of 2012 and ends in 2016. Read more...
I recently read the book “New Evangelicalism“, by Paul Richard Smith, founder of Calvary Chapel Victorville CA. Paul Smith is a leader in the Calvary Chapel movement founded by his brother Chuck Smith, who also wrote the foreword to Paul Smith’s book. Read more...
Americans now have about 8 months left to turn the direction of this country around or there will be economic collapse, depression and civil war in this country. Those that think business like usual from the GOP will save this Republic from the destructive agenda from those on the hard Left are dead wrong. The hard Left wants to make America conform to world socialism. Americans need to understand what is at stake if the hard Left stays in power. Liberty loving people can either get active in the political war playing out right now or they will experience a real civil war later. Read more...
Dr. James F. McGrath of Butler University teaches courses on New Testament Language and Literature. However, anyone attending his courses really ought to investigate the heretical views that they will be taught at Butler University by professor McGrath.
Dr. James F. McGrath made this statement in bold on his own Exploring Our Matrex Blog: Read more...
America claims to have over 80 percent Christians but yet most of them will accept Obama, Romney or Gingrich as their choice for President in 2012? The leaders that Americans are choosing reflects the nation and that is a very sad statement for America. It seems that most Christian conservatives in America talk about electing a Christian conservative but then promote and vote for people under control of the Devil. On the other hand, most of the liberal Christians in America just vote for whoever promises them the most material comforts even if he is the Devil. Read more...
Its Christmas time but I am sure that most people in the world do not understand why Christians celebrate this time of the year or what happened over 2000-years ago. Most people in world religions think that their eternal future depends on their own performance or in sojourning over and over again until they get it right and their soul reaches perfection through their own efforts. People who study Bible prophecy usually want to know about things to come. Even so, there is only so much that God revealed to us in the scriptures about the future. When people go outside of inspired texts to find more truth or information they are going to be misled. Also, those people claiming direct revelation from God about the future should know that speaking lies and their own presumptions in the name of God puts them in grave danger. Those with itching ears might believe these false prophets but what they learn from them will not lead them into doing anything productive for Christ. Read more...
I guess you should expect articles like this once in awhile because part of the title of this blog is “Church Trends”. In case you do not know, a Blog is a personal journal. It is where I get to publicly express my views on topics that come to my mind. People are free to read them or not read them, and to agree or disagree. If this post upsets someone they need to realize that there are other views in the world besides their own. Read more...
First let me point out that Christ Jesus does not need us, so when I say in the title that Christians need to take a biblical stand for Christ’s sake, I am referring to the mission of the spiritual Body of Christ called the Church. Our Savior created the universe and He is perfect in spite of the Laodicean and aberrant Christianity that is largely following the world system and the ways of Satan. Read more...
I hope you do realize that just changing the President in this country is not going to change the direction of this country for the better in any significant way. Political leaders of democratic republics pretty much reflects the inclination of the people that they represent. The latest presidents that we elected in America are just the symptom of the spiritual darkness that is engulfing most of the nation. Read more...
I have been very frustrated with the ritual system that Christians call church. That was going to be the primary focus of this post today. Writing about this had been in the back of my mind since last weekend but thanks to my pastor’s sermon Sunday night I saw that I needed to keep things in proper perspective. Read more...
It is very naive and shortsighted to think that you will escape the type of troubles that have been common to all that lived in the history of the world just because your a Christian living in America. Americans tend to think that the future in America will continue much the same as they have experienced it over their short lives. They tend to think that no great troubles will impact their own generation. Nothing could be further from the truth. Read more...
After the recent tornadoes in Alabama and Missouri I know some people are wondering if they are judgments of God on America. The answer is no. If they were judgments of God He would have removed His people out-of-the-way. I know that I will certainly hear the Christian TV repeaters claiming that the tornadoes happened because of Obama’s stance on Israel. After every natural disaster they look for some tit-for-tat relation to Israel. Of course, they mainly apply the tit-for-tat judgments to this country and never to nations that are Israel’s real enemies. It is silly presumption. If God wanted to judge America I doubt if He would destroy two of the most moral cities in our nation as some example of His judgment. Read more...
Christian discernment is learning the difference between what is good and what is evil, what is of God and what is a lie from Satan. The Bible was given to us to help us do that. Anything that is contrary to what God said in His word is Satanic. There is an obvious lack of discernment in Christendom today because many confessing Christians do not know what God said. They cannot discern the truth so they cannot see the difference between God’s plants and Satan’s plants in the world. Some Christians like to water toxic weeds and then they wonder why it produces deadly runoff. Read more...
If you do a quick Google study on the Internet on the year that Jesus was crucified you will see that there are those claiming all sorts of proof why they know the correct year of the crucifixion. You can find some very good arguments why their date is correct but the problem is that their dates span every year from 30 AD to 35 AD. They might all have good arguments but they certainly can’t all be correct. Read more...
I get no joy out of telling people that much of what is being passed off as Christianity today is counterfeit. Those American Idols that are pushing modern heresies on people may think they are being opened minded but they really have become a willing door of Satanic deception. Satan’s goal is to get people who identify with Christianity to doubt fundamental doctrines that uniquely define who a Christian is. Satan then substitutes Christian doctrine with doctrines of demons in order to create counterfeits of the Christian religion. These demonic bastardizations of Christianity are not true Christianity. I believe I have about 43 posts on this blog that either are about Rick Warren or his name is mentioned in the article for some reason. I also wrote articles that reside on my website about Warren’s seeker sensitive church growth model and Rick Warren’s Global P.E.A.C.E plan. I have been disagreeing with Rick Warren’s agenda for a better part of a decade. Read more...
I had a discussion yesterday with more than one person about the plight of pastors today. It seems that some pastors feel if they openly preach on certain Biblical topics, they believe they will offend some people that carry past or present baggage and lose a portion of their congregation. I was dumbfounded when I read a WorldNetDaily (WND) exclusive that had this headline, “Christianity taking over planet?” The article was promoting the claims of Jim Rutz and his book named “Megashift”. Rutz said Christianity was growing so fast that the whole world could become Christian by 2032. He also claimed that many people were being raised from the dead all over the world and people were being converted by seeing signs and miracles from the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) anointed apostles, prophets and miracle workers. Harold Camping is teaching thousands of the loons that follow him that the Rapture will happen on May 21, 2011. Camping also teaches that the end of the world will occur just four months later on October 21st 2011.
I think all these birdbrains are in for a rude awaking on May 22, 2011 when they find themselves still here after they burned all their bridges on earth in the days of their acting like April fools. Read more...
I almost could not believe my ears this morning when I heard Chuck Colson give one of his BreakPoint commentaries. Here is a man that claims to be a top authority on Christian worldviews. However, his Christian worldviews sometimes seem to be the worldviews of someone who is too accommodating to the enemies of the true gospel. This is the not the first time that Chuck Colson’s viewpoints have left me befuddled although generally I do agree with most of what he says on BreakPoint. Read more...
I have written on the misapplication of 2 Ch 7:14 before, but when I see a whole local Baptist conference trying to apply this verse to the Church in America I think it is the duty of those who know better to correct that false presumption. Read more...
During a moving message on judgment coming to America, my pastor described a revival in one small local church where 53 people accepted the Lord and were baptized in a local river in one week. That revival took place over 60 years ago when certain people prayed and believed God for a move of His Spirit on their community. Read more...
It is with mixed feelings that I am writing this post because most of what Glenn Beck says is as American as American pie. Nevertheless, most Christians leaders so love the sugar in the American pie that Beck is dishing out that they are also gobbling down the deadly crust that molds it. When Glenn Beck stays on politics he is pretty good but when he talks about God he is so far off the Christian reservation that he might as will be on planet Kolob (Where Father God of the Mormons lives). Selected scriptures are often commonly parroted by well meaning and also some not so well meaning Christians in America that are simply misapplications of God’s word. I will point out a few here but if you are a serious student of the scriptures others may come to your mind so feel free to share them here. I hope if nothing else this post will get people to look at the full context of a passage in the light of all of God’s word so they will not use selected misapplications as spiritual applications for today. Here are five examples of commonly used misapplications of selected scripture passages. Read more...
Its already August and time for my second monthly perspectives article. The Bible contains allegory but when it does it is also makes it clear in the passage. I think along with legalism there is a strong relationship between those that twist Bible passages into allegory and heretical movements and cults. Read more...
Discernment between good and evil hardly exists in the world in these last days where everyone does what is right in their own eyes. It is displayed by the choices the leaders in the world make nearly every day. For example, the condemning of Israel or Arizona for practicing self defense. Read more...

Here are some observations and conclusions from two bold Christians on the front line.

Human Government will always end up reflecting the depravity and the insanity of man. It will always reject the God displayed through His Son. The Hope of Christians should always be on the promises of God in Jesus Christ. Our hope should not be on the governments of any nations that we occupy. Read more...
The claim that Noah’s Ark was found is being picked up by some of the major news outlets today. The article was on both Fox News and Drudge. I suppose the liberal news will either not cover it or they will make a big deal about the tiny doubt that still remains that this is really Noah’s Ark. I am sure the biblical concept of a ship near the top of a mountain as a result of a flood will make their eyes roll if they are ever told to report it. Read more...
This article really should be two articles but since the topics relate to the same problem of repentance in America I will try to integrate them. The question is, would Christian repentance in America heal the land or will national repentance be required to heal the land? Too often I hear teachers and preachers say that if Christians will humble themselves and pray God will heal our nation. Is that really true? We will look at this presumption later but first I want to deal with a related issue. Read more...
One of the problems I encounter in the comments on my blogs and in emails are views from Christians that lack a Christian worldview. Often their views originate from world philosophies, ideologies, theologies or human taught sociocultural suppositions rather than the clear teachings of the scriptures. That leads me to believe that these Christians do not know or understand the Christian scriptures and that they are more likely influenced by the world than influencing the world for Christ. Most people in the world claim to have a religion and they think that keeping the religion offers some reward for them after death. I do not think anyone explains the fallacy of such thinking any better than Mike Gendron in his article, “Exchanging Religion for an Eternal Relationship with God“. Read more...
One of the things I deal with almost everyday are trends in the world and the church and how it all relates to Bible prophecy. I try to be balanced and not join with all those Christians on the fringe who are convinced that there is some Satanic elitist conspiracy to immediately thrust the Antichrist upon us all and fulfill their fantasy of the world ending this decade. The spirit of antichrist is already alive and well in America but the Antichrist figure of Bible prophecy is not coming as soon as some seem to think. Read more...
Some wonder why Bible prophecy is so cryptic? The answer is that understanding of both parables and Bible prophecy are only for the astute elect. Jesus taught in parables at His first coming so that those wise in their own understanding would not understand the things of God. The Scribes and the Pharisees did know the scriptures but they lacked understanding and could not properly discern the scriptures they knew. They would not see that Jesus was clearly taught in the scriptures because in their own self righteous religious understanding, the Messiah would enable them and not correct them. Read more...
Certain Bible prophecy teachers are saying certain things that can only be labeled as dangerous theology.
The dangerous theology I am talking about comes from subjective interpretations of the Parable of the Fig Tree mentioned in three gospels. The problem is that they teach their conjecture as truth and that is what makes it dangerous theology. When they say the Rapture has to occur before the end of next year based on their own subjective interpretation of the Parable of the Fig Tree they are teaching dangerous theology. Read more...
Had what happened in Haiti this week occurred on the same scale in America many people would be saying that Bible prophecy was being fulfilled. They would be saying that America was Babylon and it has now fallen. Haiti is not in Bible prophecy and neither is America but throughout history God has only put up with evil nations for so long. Bible prophecy and discernment websites attract a large number of bottom feeding scum suckers whose only purpose seem to be to muddy the waters for others. Their purpose in life is to swim from site to site to argue against orthodox Christian theologies that they have a problem with. In the last few days I had a number of these coming in through this blog or emailing me. If you have a Christian site on the Internet you know that this happens regularly. I am not talking about non believers they are not nearly the problem as are the bottom feeding scum suckers that identify with Christianity. Read more...
Just reading about what is going on in this nation and the world and churches each day is enough to make the blood boil of real Christians and real American patriots. I am learning how Lot felt when the Sodomites took over the land and how Martin Luther felt when he came to realize that the Roman Church was run by the same den of vipers that crucified his Lord. I am also beginning to understand the feelings of Patrick Henry that said, “give me Liberty or give me Death”. He would be saying the same thing today to our government of pimps and queens that want to run a collective communist Borg ant farm here. But do the the people of this nation say give us liberty? Nooooo. They say give us a king! We want “O” king like all the other slave nations. Read more...
If you look on my blog side bar you will see by far the post that is being hit on the most frequently is The Book of Enoch and Bible prophecy. That fact probably has more to do with keyword rankings in Google then it does with the interests of the readers of this Blog, but even so, the account in Genesis of the Son’s of God taking the daughters of men as wife’s and producing an offspring called the Nephilim seems to be of great interest to a whole lot of people. Perhaps that is because people sense that there is more to the story than what they were taught in Sunday school on this topic. Read more...
Top Christian subversive, Richard Foster, leads the Spiritual Reformation Movement and Richard Foster is also held in high esteem in the emergent subversive church movement. So whats the big deal about the Spiritual Reformation Movement and the Emergent Church? Only that spiritual reformation concepts and the contemplative prayer concepts of the Emergent Church Movement are much the same. This, “get in touch with your own spirituality movement” really comes from practices found in Buddhism, Hinduism and and Roman Catholic mysticism. They all descended from the practices of ancient Babylon. It has nothing to do with concepts taught in Christianity and the Bible. Read more...
After You read this article you will simply know why I had to post it. I did not want to steal all of Coach Dave Daubenmire’s words here so you will have to read the full article to get the full impact of the new offensive line that he proposes. Too bad my home team, the Buffalo Bills, don’t get it, or most sissified Christians for that matter. Its time for Christians to march on all the left leaning houses in the land singing Hey Hey, Ho Ho, the far left radicals have to go! Read more...
King James only and Gail Riplinger’s “New Age Bible Versions” has more than once been brought up on this Blog and elsewhere. I find it incredible that a woman with degrees in Interior design, with no formal training on the Bible, a woman that cannot even read Hebrew or Greek can set herself up as some authority over the best trained Bible translators in the world. I find it dumbfounding that Christians and even some “discernment ministries” would actually take what she says seriously without even reading what the experts say about her bazaar claims. When people ask about my website I often warn them that there is something to offend everyone on my website. I really love these people who tell me that they really believe the world is coming to an end in 2012, or they are certain that the Rapture has to happen within a year or two, or that they have the date of the second coming all figured out, or that Jesus has to come before 2019 because of their interpretation of the “Fig Tree Parable”, or based on some pagan prophecy, or the sayings of Jack Van Impe, etc., etc., but they continue to retain all their wealth like they are going to live here forever or take it with them.
