The United States is at a critical juncture in its history faced with threats from international Marxists, an internal socialist movement and global jihadists. Once any of these elements achieves significant positions of power within the United States, they will proceed with their plans to destroy Western civilization. Berman starts with a little recent world history in Germany and then make a parallel to the present economic crises in the United States and the election of a man who speaks great things but offers little but platitudes. Dr. Berman believes there is a parallel here to Germany that should be obvious. However, this time it will lead to global governance and the tyranny of world fascism.

Our public schools played a large role in producing the postmodern amoral generation we have in America today. There is little doubt that the public schools will now accelerate their attempts to make all children subjects of the radical Far Left social engineering Marxists that run our education systems. Now they have government supporting them and see that as a mandate for even more radical agendas to shape the minds of children as young as preschoolers. They will be taught to be openly anti-Christian, anti-moral, pro sex perversion and taught to undermine parental authority through state backed intimidation.

People who leave their children in public schools will see their own children turn against them and the Christian values that they hold. Children will be told to report parents that do not follow the government agenda to authorities. Churches and parents had better rise up now and take their nation back or they will become targets of their own children. Their own enemies will be those of their own household.

Parents ignoring this for whatever reason have given up their God given responsibility of raising up their children to the State and they are doing it for their own selfish convenience, or because they themselves do not believe what God said, or because they do not care enough about their children to be informed, or because they are cowards. If your church is not actively addressing this public education problem it is time to find a new church.

Abandon ship: Run from the public schools!

Sadly, many parents are either unaware or unwilling to see the true depravity of today’s government schools. Although many well-meaning parents may rationalize sending their children to secular institutions, there are big reasons to remove them from these public stumbling centers immediately.

Public school is where the “blind guides lead the blind” (Matthew 15:14) in centers of secular-humanistic indoctrination. This is no longer up for debate. The research is in. Please make yourself familiar with the following research: The National Study of Youth and Religion by Smith and Denton (2005), The Southern Baptist Council on Family Life Report (2002), and the 20 years of study by Dan Smithwick and the Nehemiah Institute with over 40,000 youth who professed to be born-again. The facts are mind-boggling! The American church is currently losing between 70-90 percent of the next generation. The vast majority of our children’s worldviews have been decimated, the inevitable result of nearly 1,100 hours a year of teaching that runs antithetical to Christianity.

E. Ray Moore of Exodus Mandate, at the forefront of this battle for the last 11 years, wrote the following: “… the lion’s share of converting and witnessing is accomplished through the public education curriculum, peer pressure from other children – most of whom are non-Christian – and educators who implant (either subtly or obviously and conscientiously or unconscientiously) their humanistic, neo-pagan or New Age doctrines within the minds and hearts of Christian children.” One recent Barna study shows that if current trends continue, in 10 years church attendance will be half of what it is today. Parents: the pagan institution down the street may have sports activities, marching bands, school plays, homecomings, proms, et cetera, but in light of eternity, do they really matter? Is not your child’s soul worth so much more?

Sending our children to public schools clearly causes them to stumble in their walk with God. The answer is not more youth groups, children’s ministries, or even a teaching series by our pastors. The answer begins with parents loving their children more than they love the convenience or tradition of their local public schools. We must spark a debate within our churches. Since it appears that many of our Christian leaders and pastors – the shepherds – are afraid or unwilling to tackle this topic, then let the sheep address it, and let them begin now.

The facts, Scripture, and plain reason clearly demonstrate that when parents send their children to today’s public schools, they put them in harm’s way. Evidence and history have shown it is a fool’s errand to try to reform the schools – a waste of time, money and children. It also runs contradictory to God’s Word. In the words of Martin Luther, “My conscience is captive to the Word of God … to go against conscience is neither right nor safe.”

Let us come together as the Body of Christ, repent and honor the Lord by raising our children for God’s glory! Before another precious soul stumbles and falls away, let us stop leading our kids onto the pirate ships and work together to rescue those who are already on board. It is time to abandon ship.

The religions get liquidated if they do not file annual reports on activities and it seems that they still get liquidated if they do file annual reports of activity and the State and the Russian Orthodox church does not like the religious activities. Basically, this means that all religion outside of the Russian Orthodox Church will not be allowed to exist in Russia. On October 15 the Russian Ministry of Justice took steps to begin liquidating 56 non-Russian Orthodox religious organizations. The groups face dissolution, Russian news sources reported, because they failed to file required annual reports on their activities. Those targeted include a range of non-Russian Orthodox organizations and churches but hardest hit were various Christian groups, both Protestant and Catholic. Baptist groups were prominent on the list, but Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Seventh-day Adventist and Pentecostal groups were also included. Well known humanitarian groups such as World Vision and Youth with a Mission were also named, as was the Russian branch of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Non-Christian organizations were also named, including Muslim and Buddhist associations.

According to the Slavic Legal Center in Moscow, many of the organizations believe they are in full compliance with filing requirements and are surprised to be included in the list. They are unsure if the posting is a scare tactic or if the Ministry of Justice indeed intends to pursue liquidations on a massive scale. Anatoly Pchelintsev, an attorney for the Slavic Center for Law and Justice, remarked that “such actions fly in the face of official Russian state policy on the freedom of worship and creed.” Pchelintsev believes the responsible officials are unaware of the complicated international ramifications of their actions and cites the possibility of “chaos and destabilization in church-state relations.” He added that in the case of most of the affected organizations, the threatened punishment goes too far. “In Russia there already are more than a dozen cases in which courts rendered decisions in favor of religious organizations since the punishment for their failure to submit information did not formally fit the crime committed.” Moreover, he added, “liquidation for failure to submit information is equivalent to sentencing a jaywalker to the death penalty. After all, liquidation means that the organization’s life is put to an end.” In addition, said Pchelintsev, “such actions are inconsistent with the policy of the Russian government, which guarantees freedom of conscience and religious confessions for each person. The widespread liquidation of religious associations for petty violations will lead to the crudest infringement of human rights in our country and to the self-isolation of the government.”

I agree with what Chuck Baldwin is saying. The Conservative movement is dead and trying to raise it from the dead in the Republican party will just raise a dead man walking. The Republicans did nothing but make a mockery of Christian Conservatives over the years. What Conservatives need is a new “Heartland Party” that is solidly conservative and the time to build that Heartland Party is now.

If we waste our time with the tested and the failed Republican establishment we are fools. If you put your hope in a woman in Alaska like she can ever get elected in this nation through the Republican establishment without embracing their agenda you are wrong. If you think she can change the entrenched Republican establishment you are wrong. She would just have to embrace their agenda like she did with McCain or she will get no support. If you put your hope in Newt Gingrich running the Republican party the Republicans might even win a election someday but nothing will change for Christian Conservatives. The Republicans will still just go along with the progressive agenda like they did for the last forty years. Gingrich is just another opportunist and globalist who has drank the global warming Kool-Aid that will bring more taxes and control on everything and everyone. It will be Republican business as unusual if Conservatives stay with the Republicans.

We need radical change and that means a Christian/Conservative Heartland Party that is formed from the grass roots of rural people in America. There are fundamental value differences between Americans in rural areas and those living in big cities and in the high density coast lands. We need a party that represents the conservative and Christian rural people of heartland America.

The time to start this new party is now and all time wasted trying to resurrect the Republican Party is wasted time. All we need is the support of ten percent of the people of America to get this new Heartland Party off the ground and in a position of national attention by 2011-2012. When god fearing Christians and true conservatives see that there is a viable alternative to the Republicans they will abandon the
Republican Party like rats from a sinking ship. But A new party that represents the Heartland will never happen if nobody ever tries to bring it about.

Chuck Baldwin — Conservatives Lost More Than An Election

For all intents and purposes, conservatism–as a national movement–is completely and thoroughly dead. Barack Obama did not destroy it, however. It was George W. Bush and John McCain who destroyed conservatism in America.

Soon after G.W. Bush was elected, it quickly became obvious he was no conservative. On the contrary, George Bush has forever established himself as a Big-Government, warmongering, internationalist neocon. Making matters worse was the way Bush presented himself as a conservative Christian. In fact, Bush’s portrayal of himself as a conservative Christian paved the way for the betrayal and ultimate destruction of conservatism (something I also predicted years ago). And the greatest tragedy of this deception is the way that Christian conservatives so thoroughly (and stupidly) swallowed the whole Bush/McCain neocon agenda.

For example, Bush and his fellow neocons like to categorize and promote themselves as being “pro-life,” but they have no hesitation or reservation about killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in reckless and unconstitutional foreign wars. By the same token, how many unborn babies were saved by six years of all three branches of the federal government being under the control of these “pro-life” neocons? Not one! Ask the more than eight million unborn babies who were killed in their mothers’ wombs during the last eight years how “pro-life” George W. Bush and John McCain are.

As a result of this insanely inconsistent and pixilated punditry, millions of Americans now laugh at the very notion of “pro-life” conservatism. Bush and McCain have made a mockery of the very term.

Across the country, rather than stand on principle, hundreds of thousands of pastors, Christians, and pro-life conservatives capitulated and groveled before John McCain’s neocon agenda. In doing so, they forfeited any claim to truth, and they abandoned any and all fidelity to constitutional government. They should rip the stories of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego out of their Bibles. They should never again tell their children, parishioners, and radio audiences the importance of standing for truth and principle. They have made a mockery of Christian virtue. No wonder a majority of the voting electorate laughs at us Christians. No wonder the GOP crashed and burned last Tuesday.

Again, it wasn’t Barack Obama who destroyed conservatism; it was George W. Bush, John McCain, and the millions of evangelical Christians who supported them. And until conservatives find their backbone and their convictions, they deserve to remain a burnt-out, has-been political force. They have no one to blame but themselves.

And since it is unlikely that the Republican Party has enough sense to understand any of this and will, therefore, do little to reestablish genuine conservative principles, it is probably best to just go ahead and bury the scoundrels now and move on to something else. Without a sincere commitment to constitutional government, the GOP has no justifiable reason to ever govern again. Therefore, put a fork in them. They are done. Let a new entity arise from the ashes: one that will stand for something more than just “the lesser of two evils.” As we say in the South, That dog just won’t hunt anymore.

And if Obama’s true intentions are exposed, people may vote for Sen. John McCain or another candidate — or not at all. The MSM fear rocking the boat. With this election neck and neck, their boy could lose.

Dave Daubenmire sees the hypocrisy of the vast majority of Christian blacks voting for a black candidate just because he is part black. Had he inherited his mother’s skin color I doubt if he would be holding any office, yet running for President.

The real point is why would any Christian vote on basis of skin color? That is racism. If a black votes for a black candidate because of the color of his skin it is considered a “vote of pride.” If a white man votes against a man because of the color of his skin he is considered racist. Hal Lindsey believes this election will determine the path that America will take in the future. He gives many statements from our forefathers that warn us that a free people cannot take the path of big government control over the people. That position of course is correct.

One party in this election has obvious intentions of departing from the government that was set up by our founding fathers. So if you vote that party you would be more correct to call yourself a Marxist/Communist/Socialist than one who believes in our democratic constitutional republic. The other party is on life support. Today I read a report from a journalist that said if Obama losses there will be a civil war. She claims the voting is rigged by the Republicans. If anything, the voting is rigged in favor of the Democrats by the election fraud actions of ACORN. If people riot and burn because their man loses a free election they will have departed from our constitution and must be dealt with by those who enforce our laws.

However, I have more news for this journalist. If the Democrats win and the Democrats try to force a unconstitutional government and their immoral ways down the throats of Americans there will also be a civil war. That right was given to us in our Constitution and the writing of the Declaration of Independence.

Due to the departing of many from Christian values with the resultant immorality and socialism America is now a very divided nation and civil war is certainly possible, but if it comes it will come because of those who have departed from the law of the land. As a “Watchman on the Wall,” I believe Election 2008 will permanently determine the future path America will take. I fear that most Americans do not understand the true issues they are voting on.

Among other things, this election may determine whether the government will be empowered to forcefully take money earned by some Americans and redistribute it as it chooses to others.

As I have taught before for 50 years, there are certain divine institutions God set forth in the Bible. They are intended for the good and welfare of all mankind. To whatever degree a people honors these institutions, they will be blessed, preserved and prospered.

First, the institutions of freedom to choose one’s own destiny and the “sanctity of life” – these were enshrined in the U.S. Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

We are given by God, not our government, the freedom to choose our own destiny and to pursue a career that brings prosperity and happiness. Our forefathers knew only too well that a government that is powerful enough to confiscate and redistribute wealth is also strong enough to take away your freedom to choose and pursue happiness.

Thomas Jefferson clearly warned us about this: “Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have.” In this election, we are making a choice – either continue to pursue our own destiny and well-being, or give the government the power to establish a “welfare state” in which it slowly takes over our basic freedoms.

It is simply dumb, it is idiotic, it is irresponsible to vote for a party just because it once stood for working people and unions but now totally ignore the fact that this party has been subverted by Communist elite. They do not care about the working stiff they care about those on the dole who will vote for them because they give them free handouts. Most who gain high office in this party never worked a real job in their lives. There are far more elite in the Democratic party than there are in the Republican party, not that Republicans are blameless but it is not blatantly Communist. Why do you think almost all the elite are pushing for Obama and Democrats and why does Obama have several times the money that McCain has? Feminism is not about equal rights for women but about the destruction of a patriarchal society in favor of a matriarchal society.

The best way to combat political correctness is to expose it for what it really is—Cultural Marxism. Equally important in defeating this anti-Christian, anti-American worldview is to not comply with its mandates. Call homosexuality what it is—sin. Expose feminism for what it is—anti-family, anti-father. Expose tolerance as moral relativism and intolerance toward those who don’t conform to their dictates of tolerance. Expose sensitivity training as an attempt to destroy freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Point out to your family and friends the consequences that cultural Marxism has had and is having on our faith, families, and freedoms.

Unless you desire to live in a country where the middle class has been destroyed and we are under the tyrannical thumb of a small group of cultural elitists who control every aspect of your life, then you had better speak up. “Hardship,” “persecution” and “suffering” are among the prospects in a hypothetical letter from a “Christian from 2012″ released today by evangelical leader James Dobson’s political activist group Focus on the Family Action.

Titled “Letter from 2012 in Obama’s America,” the piece clearly targets the many evangelical Christians seeking “change,” particularly the young, who could tip the election in favor of the Illinois Democrat. At the end of the letter, the fictional Christian laments that these people “simply did not realize Obama’s far-left agenda would take away many of our freedoms as a nation, perhaps permanently,” pointing to a new, liberal-majority Supreme Court unlikely to change for 30 more years.

“I get tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat,” says the fictional writer. “Now in October of 2012, after seeing what has happened in the last four years,” America is no longer “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

“Many of our freedoms have been taken away by a liberal Supreme Court and a majority of Democrats in both the House and the Senate, and hardly any brave citizen dares to resist the new government policies any more,” the letter writer says.

Read the part that I highlighted below. Joe Biden said that Obama will need the help of community leaders to control the population as unpopular decisions are made and AMERICANS RESIST. This will occur within six months of him taking office. In other words they are saying they expect something to happen that will make Americans resist the Government. I cannot think of what that would be other than Martial law and taking away people’s guns. It has been the plan of Government to use Clergy and other community leaders to get people to voluntarily hand in their guns after Martial law is declared. So it seems to me that this is what Joe Biden is talking about. Wouldn’t that be a hoot, if within 6 months they use some real or false flag event to make Obama dictator?

Something is very strange in Denmark here because all these people that are out of the homeland security loop could not possibly know what terrorists are planning to do within 6 months of Obama taking office. Biden told the top Democratic donors that a “generated crisis” will develop within six months and Barak Obama will need the help of community leaders to control the population as unpopular decisions are made and Americans resist.

Biden’s ominous language at the Seattle Sheraton are followed with statements by long time establishment insiders Colin Powell and Madeline Albright both say there is a massive crisis on the horizon and Biden was simply making a “statement in fact.”

Meanwhile in England were they are trying desperately to pass a draconian measure allowing for the 42 day imprisonment of any citizen without charges or access to bail.

Lord West, adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown on national security says, “There is another great plot building up again and we are monitoring. It dipped slightly and is now rising again within the context of severe. The threat is huge. We have done all the things that we need to do, but the threat is building - the complex plots are building,”

Only a few hours ago Agence France-Presse published a press release about the Sydney meeting of the international Commission on Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament presided over by Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd who said that the world is facing a threat that will dwarf the September 11 attacks.

“The devastation that could be wreaked by one major nuclear weapons incident alone puts 9/11 and almost everything else [in] to the category of the insignificant,” Rudd said.

Why are there so many high level politicians around the world in a seemingly coordinated effort warning of huge threats and developing crisis’ that may include a nuclear device? Are they preparing the masses for an event or series of events that have been in the making for some time? Is the public being prepared for new and forming enemies with a potential to plunge the entire world into war?

This article is pretty profound and gutsy. I have said that the take over of America by the Far Left will start a secessionist movement by 2013AD. Even if the heartland people should somehow retain or regain power it will then bring a revolution from the coastal Left and the Liberal big cities. The differences have become so huge that they cannot be reconciled. Now the head of the number one alternative news site on the Internet believes it is time for the nation to split into two nations. Neither Joseph Farah nor I know how this amicable divorce could take place when the two nations are now
so thoroughly integrated but the alternative is unthinkable.

This is only the start of the divide as the Left continues to vandalize the Constitution and outlaw Biblical morality and force their debauchery in state schools, as they continue to remove God from every aspect of our nation and pass every socialist bill, as they stop free Christian expression the secessionist movement will certainly grow.

Voluntarily migration seems the only answer to me but there would have to be some compensation for people migrating to make it even possible. Even then how would you split up the national debt, entitlements and national defense? The only real answer in my mind would be a Union of State or a North American Union (NAU) where the central government administrates those areas but allows much more autonomy to each member state. But wasn’t that the way the United States was designed to be in the first place? So how do you get Liberal big government socialists to agree to state rights?

Isn’t it time for separation? Is the breakup of the union really such a difficult thing to consider? When there are no new lands to discover, what choice do we have?

My vision of the world is one in perfect harmony with the Bible, the Declaration and the Constitution. But these standards have been run over, obscured, distorted, demolished, nullified, undone, vandalized. Since, historically, it was the Bible, the Declaration and the Constitution that held us together, what binds us today? Shouldn’t those of us who upheld the commitment to those standards have the right, in fact, the duty, to separate ourselves from those who have gutted them?

America was founded as a sovereign, independent nation. The vandals want to yield sovereignty to global authorities and make America interdependent.

America was founded with a federal government that was to be constitutionally limited in scope. The vandals have already succeeded in obliterating the enumerated powers.

America was founded as a nation of self-governing free people and sovereign states with significant authority reserved to them. The vandals have placed America under the shackles of a central government to which the states and people are subordinate.

America was founded as a nation of people “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The vandals deny the Creator, invent man-made rights and deny life and liberty are sacred values.

We already are two peoples with irreconcilable differences sharing one nation. It’s time for an amicable divorce – with each people free to pursue their own way.

I don’t know how to make this happen. But I think it’s time to start talking about it – start working toward it. I don’t want to live under the consequences of the actions of the vandals. I don’t want my children to do that. There ought to be a choice. Maybe we can live side by side in peace as two nations, but we can’t live freely as one people any longer.

The moral justification for secession was found in our Declaration of Independence. It says governments are created to protect our unalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It also says, “Whenever a government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it.”

I am not advocating that people get a retreat in Montana waiting for the end of the world as we know it (TEOTWAWKI). I know the thought has crossed the mind of many of you people who see that an economic disaster is on the horizon for the U.S.

For you I have found an article that has links to a blog and website that deal with living a survivalist lifestyle so you will know the issues involved.

If I had no ties keeping me currently where I am at and I had a little cash stashed away I would serious consider living in some remote retreat. But not because I think the world will end as we know it (even though it certainly may) but because I choose to be as independent from the world as rationally
possible. Take the Amish for example, they can live quite well if things in the nation go to hell or if they go on as usual. The truth of the matter is that I am considering finding such a place at some point but I have set no specific date for doing so.

Living a simpler life would mean a major downscale of one’s living standards. But, do we really need a 2500 sqft house with 2.5 bathrooms, three cars, Satellite TV service, 42 inch HDTV, high speed Internet, cell phones and unlimited long distance? Do we need all the big city expensive amenities and their extra taxes? Do we need the latest fashions and the latest Chinese gadgets that are going to break down in two years and need replacing? Are we really working half our life just to keep us in material crap?

I figure with our new economic socialist policies and our national debt it is certain to bring our living standards down to that of Mexico within ten years anyway. So why not just live like your a Mexican now . Buy a modest place in the country with a few acres now while you can still can, rather than trying to live like a Mexican in ten years in your government owned house with all the new regulations and the big city predators.

So If I can arrange things I will be looking for that homestead but finding it will be difficult. That is because I need to find a place where it will not be too hot, too cold, too humid, too buggy, too expensive or too full of half insane survivalist people.

I list here two articles by two astute Christian teachers that also voice my concerns about America. We are at a turning point in America but we are turning toward a philosophy that we fought against during the entire cold war period - Marxist socialism.

In Jan’s article Joe Farah asked, were you polled on the recent huge leap into socialism when the government purchased banks with taxpayer money? The answer is yes and no.

It is yes because you were polled when you elected your Liberal leftist representatives to Washington. The American people can only blame themselves for the Congress they have and the pseudo Conservative President in office.

The answer is also no because when your representatives sold this bill to the American people they said it was going to be used to buy debt instead they gave Treasury Secretary Paulson dictatorial powers. He did not use the money to buy debt as he said, he used it to buy major interests in banks and the banks were given no choice. That is socialism and the power he was given and the action he took is not constitutional.

Of course the people still do have a recourse they do not need to reelect the people that voted for this bill but all indicators say that they will. I also want you to be aware that both presidential contenders voted for this bill. Not only that, from what the polls say America is about to vote in a Marxist leaning socialist to the office of President.

If that is not bazaar enough, America is also likely to give this socialist President a super-majority in the Congress so he can enact anything he wants with no viable opposition or fear of impeachment. The last two times there was a super-majority the nation took great leaps toward socialism that put us in the debt that we are now in. Now it looks like we are about to take the final leap that will make America as Far Left as Venezuela and put this nation on a completely different path than the path our nation has been on for 230 years.

Some people say the USSR lost the cold war and Communism was defeated but actually it now appears that we are becoming them. We are now on the same path that they took and we will suffer a similar fate - socialism and bankruptcy.

Nobody wants to call a small group of elite controlling the commoners Communists anymore but that is what they are. Either call the government they propose Communism or call it socialist fascism. There is little difference in the real world.

It seems the whole world is now under the influence of fascism. Russia is fascist, The EU in becoming fascist, China is fascist, Islamic nations are fascist, Now under big government socialism we also will become fascist. Soon other regional alliances in the world also will be under socialistic fascism.

The only world government the power elite want is one where they can totally control everything people do. The world is rejoicing about Obama because we were the last major hold out preventing the elitist socialist fascist New World Order.

The real question all Americans should be asking themselves is why are we allowing it to happen here? The world socialism plan is anti-Christian, anti-constitutional, anti-life, anti-liberty, and it is anti the pursuit of individual happiness?

Through subversive brainwashing America has become two nations. One nations wants the America we had for 230 years destroyed and replaced with a socialist collective ant farm run by queens. As it concerns some recent desperate moves to stabilize the economy Joseph Farah asks, ” Excuse me? Were you consulted? Do you recall having a national debate about this? Did your congressional representatives poll you on whether you liked this idea? Dare I ask, where would such a move be authorized in the U.S. Constitution? Or has America completely moved away from the idea of the rule of law and the will of the people being the key determinants in our supposedly self-governing society?”

Commentator David Limbaugh says, “Maybe I’m being too much of an alarmist, but I’m worried for the first time in my life that the election of a presidential candidate could lead to a fundamental change in our system of government. How many times must history repeat itself before we learn that Socialism and Communism cannot work?”

Karl Marx said, “A new revolution is possible only in consequences of a new crisis.” We have a crisis. As a matter of fact, unless the world stock markets stabilize, the entire world could be looking at a financial tsunami. Many nations, including America, could be ripe for being taken over by unsavory political efforts “without firing a shot.”

There has been a great deal of concern over the possibility of Barack Obama winning the White House in the November 4th election. In the past few weeks, I’ve received dozens of emails from people frustrated over how one of the most liberal senators is getting a free ride to the White House.

There has been very little media coverage of what could prove to be a far more dangerous political development. Polls indicate that the Democrats have a good chance of expanding their congressional majorities past the point of having a filibuster-proof Senate.

“This would be one of the most profound political and ideological shifts in U.S. history. Liberals would dominate the entire government in a way they haven’t since 1965, or 1933. In other words, the election would mark the restoration of the activist government that fell out of public favor in the 1970s. If the U.S. really is entering a period of unchecked left-wing ascendancy, Americans at least ought to understand what they will be getting, especially with the media cheering it all on” (Wall Street Journal, 17 Oct. 2008).

During both previous times when there was a super-majority, it was possible to rewrite the rules at will. Franklin Delano Roosevelt gave us the New Deal and Lyndon Johnson created the Great Society–just fancy words for socialism.

The Democratic party of today is far more liberal than it was during any previous super-majority.
