If you are aware of present political realities of today, the news headlines of tomorrow may not come as a complete surprise.

Obama is going to withdraw from Afghanistan but it will take until 2014 to do it. Meanwhile, nothing has changed for the better in that area. In fact, things are growing worse because the war just created more radicals in Pakistan and Afghanistan that hate Americans. So there is no reason to think that these areas will not become terrorist training grounds in the future.

Bashar al-Assad of Syria has killed well over a thousand people in Syria and he is creating quite a humanitarian crises by destroying the towns of people that do not support him and their very livelihoods.… continue reading

Obama seems to think that every negative report is just a bump in the road on the path to his next hole. He may think he is on course but for Obama life is his recreation, it is all a golf course. The reality of it all is that Obama and this nation are going to hit bumps in the road or the remainder of his term and they are going to make for a very bumpy ride. Osama Bin Laden could be on a ship with Jack Bauer spilling his guts.

If something like the raid on the Bin Laden hideout in Pakistan took place on the “24 Hours” series or the “The Unit” series I would be saying that this is good fiction but I don’t think it is very realistic.

After ten years the President of the United States suddenly finds the most wanted man in the world and then instead of bombing the place takes the very high risk of sending in special forces to get him. You would think if they decided to send in special forces it is because they wanted to take him alive. After all, Bin Laden would know if al Qaeda had access to nukes or some other weapon of mass destruction, so why would you kill him?… continue reading

A Fourth Reich Roman Empire Revival Fit for a Beast and a Gog Reunion

We may be seeing the start of the Revived Roman Empire taking place before our very eyes. The turmoil in North Africa, Syria, and elsewhere may bring it about. I know many people thought the present EU is the revived Roman Empire but the present EU really does not fit the spatial reality of the Old Roman Empire nor does it have its mothers violent nature.

Here is a map that shows the  extent of the Old Roman Empire. Where there are dates on this map those regions were not part of the Roman Empire at the time of Jesus.

In both true Christianity and pseudo Christianity there are those denying the possibility of salvation for most people living in Islamic nations. On one side you have the tyrannical power elite with all the money and weapons and on the other side you have the oppressed, the Marxist’s and the Islamist’s. I do not totally buy into the “fourth turning” time cycles although the four turnings spoken about in that book do seem to occur about once in a human lifespan. Being scary is just too cool on Halloween.

Halloween is the time of the year when Mahmud Ahmadinejad masks sell like hot cakes because for some reason people think that having the scariest mug on the planet is just too cool on Halloween. Ahmadinejad by himself could haunt a house in the Christian most parts of Lebanon. This week he is on his way to do just that in person. October is the month when scary people like Ahmadinejad get a pass to act like themselves.

There are many parallels to the 1930’s today. History does repeat itself. It seems the socialists of the 1930’s have been reincarnated to play in the upcoming 2010’s world war games.

In the 1930’s the world was heading into a decade of deep depression. All indicators are that in the 2010’s the world will see the same economic fate. In the 1930’s socialism was the big rising ideology. There were some differences between the various socialisms of the 1930’s but they all had many similarities as well, such as government having control over everyone and the redistributing wealth. I have figured out that I really cannot figure out how end time prophetic events involving Israel will all play out but of course like so many others that write on Bible prophecy that won’t stop me from writing about it.

Probably the main premillennial futurist speculation today is that the war of Ezekiel chapter 38 will take place within a few years but that does not make sense to me in the light of present world realities. Some Bible prophecy teachers and their disciples are looking for some Islamic Antichrist to appear in 2012 and most of them think it will be the Islamic 12th Imam Mahdi figure that Shia religious lore says will ascend out of a well. I think this Antichrist figure should be getting a swelled head by now with all the expectations for him coming from these Bible prophecy teachers. Therefore, their Mahdi figure will never get his swelled head up the well in time for some 2012 Antichrist.

Anyone else getting the feeling that any remaining sanity on earth is rapidly evaporating because of anthropic global warming? I am not talking about the global warming delusion produced by Al Gore. I know Immanuel Velikovsky used the same title for one of his books but most of this generation would not be aware of that. Immanuel Velikovsky wrote several books about catastrophism in Earth’s geological past. His theory of planets in collision gives natural causes for the flood and the other judgments in the Bible. If you reject evolution you might read his books because there is a lot of truth in what he wrote, but even geniuses like Velokosvsky do not get everything right. He certainly did not acknowledge that God also works through supernatural means. Some think Islam is the primary danger to the Western world and even think that Islam will bring the Antichrist against the West.
