Some claiming to be among Christianity would have us think that the universe that God spoke into existence for His own purpose is not really under His control. They have a God that dwells in creation wringing His figurative hands just hoping that someone will love Him and be His friend. Aww…poor God!

The urban rural division in America parallels Lot and Abraham?

Most know the biblical story of Abraham and Lot. Lot was Abraham’s nephew and Lot traveled where God was leading Abraham. Tension started increasing between the herdsmen of Abraham and Lot so they agreed to part company. Lot chose to move to the plains where the cities were. Lot’s people mingled with the natives and became influenced by evil people who dominated the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham stayed in the hill country and walked with God.

Not more than a couple of decades after Lot’s people departed Abraham, lot’s people were all destroyed by fire from heaven along with all the native people of the plains because they had joined in with the wicked practices of Sodom and Gomorrah.… continue reading

In God’s eyes the Roman fourth beast still rules the world

The visions given to Daniel document that there will only be four Gentile world kingdoms from his own time until the Kingdom of the Messiah. The four kingdoms that Daniel saw that were identified with four beasts have been unquestionably identified by reputable historians as Babylon, Medio-Persia, Greek, and the Roman. The Roman is the fourth beast described and last Gentile Kingdom on earth. At the end of the age this kingdom will be destroyed and the earth will be given to the people of God (Daniel 7).

There is no other worldwide Gentile kingdom in scripture between the time of the ancient Roman Empire and the time that the latter-day prince makes a seven-year covenant with Israel at the end of the Gentile age (Dan 9:27).… continue reading

Where is that great revival in America?

If you believed some of the Christian revival hype that was going around this year, you might have been lead to believe that by Thanksgiving our nation would be in sack cloth and ashes humbling themselves and praying and repenting so God would heal our land. That is what some Christian media hucksters tried to sell you, but reality turned out quite differently. It seems that the camp-outs for Black Friday that will be ushering in the commercialism of Christmas will supersede any post Thanksgiving national repentance.

Petrus Romanus: an exercise in finding the future in the demonic

In 2009 Tom Horn gave us his theory in his book “Apollyon Rising 2012” that the Antichrist would make himself known between the year 2009 and 2012. Three years later Horn has followed up with a book that has the False Prophet coming to power in late 2012. This book seems designed to complete his theory based on many private mystical and pagan prophecies that the Great Tribulation starts near the end of 2012 and ends in 2016.

Some in Christian media have been doing interviews with Thomas Horn so I decided to read a couple of his books. I recently read “Apollyon rising 2012” and I will soon read his latest book “Petrus Romanus”, which God willing, I will comment on sometime in the future. The title “Apollyon Rising 2012”, implies that Apollyon of Revelation 9:11 will be rising in 2012 but If you believe that you probably already have been hornswoggled.

The prophetic end of the age is likely to occur around 2030 AD.

I personally think we have about 20 years left before we complete the prophetic end of the age and enter the millennial reign of Jesus. If that is true, I think many things must happen in the next twenty years, so be very careful about what you buy into. If my timing is correct, and Jesus comes for the faithful Church prior to the tribulation, then at most there is ten to fifteen years left to work before the Rapture. Imagine evangelists missionaries and martyrs occupying the occupiers.

There are many Christian teachers that teach that Christians should go in and occupy or possess the land. There are other Christians that want financial support to go into foreign lands to be missionaries. However, missionaries are needed right here and now in our inner cities. Other Christians think that they were called to be evangelists but they mostly evangelize the already evangelized.

The scriptures say that God created man in His own image. Some ancient text scholars say it means that man was created by God to be His image bearers or imagers. I think that is at least partly correct. We can look at other passages and get some light on what this means. Christmas exuberance won’t get me to shuffle off to Buffalo even though all of my close relatives live there. I actually used to do that once in a while in the past, but that was in the days when I thought the Buffalo Bills could win at football. We get ever more wiser as we get older. Now Christmas in Arizona would be more up my alley, but I am not about to travel there either just to try to find more Christmas exuberance.

Spiritual problems in America resolved through secular tea parties?

America has a national election coming up in a few weeks and many are excited about the change that they think is coming. I hate to rain on anyone’s tea party but spiritual problems in America cannot be resolved through secular tea party ideals. How do people expect any real change for the better in America, when America is still becoming progressively more amoral as I speak? For example:

  • The top box office hits are now movies about vampires, witches, sex and mass slaughter.
  • Parent allow their public schools to indoctrinate their children with textbooks full of lies.
  • The main stream media news is filtered through liberal spin doctors and the comedy and drama on the main networks are written to socially engineer gullible minds to conform to a secular humanist and anti Christian worldview.
