Koenig’s perspectives on Bible prophecy and world issues Dec 2012

Obviously the world did not end on Dec 21, 2012. Once again the prophets of Baal were wrong. Researchers can analyze every pagan prophecy that exists anywhere and they still will not know anything about the timing of future events.

Everything Christians need to know about the future is already written in the Christian Bible. The Lord God does not reveal the future through ancient pagan writings, or through modern men and woman who learned to tap into the occult, or through those that hear the imaginations of their own minds and claim that the message came from Him.

It appears that we will be here for a while longer, so let me wish everyone a Merry Christmas and an interesting New Year that is full of joy in Christ.continue reading

Even though there is a lot going on in the news, my monthly perspectives will have to be fairly short this month. I have way too many irons on the fire right now. I am getting a high-speed satellite system installed this morning for Internet and then I will have to set up a router and wireless network for our various computers.

I also just got a laptop, so I will be spending a lot of time getting the software I need downloaded and working on that computer. In addition, we are hoping to get rid of the two land line phones we now have.… continue reading

So far the big October surprise has been Obama’s first debate performance. Romney now has half of chance of winning this thing unless Obama has other October surprises coming that gets people’s mind off of his lackluster debate performance.

So why the poor performance by Obama? It can’t be because he was not thoroughly coached by his people for this debate, we know that he was. That allows about two possibilities.

He either does not have the intellectual capability to debate the real issues or he has a medical problem. I think it is not the first possibility because he was able to debate people before, so it probably is the second.… continue reading

Shortly before or after this article appears, comments should be opened again after having been closed for about six months. If you want any realistic hope of getting your comment posted you will need to read and abide by the new commenting policy (top bar). There may be some bugs since I can’t find out if all my plug-in software is working as advertised until comments are turned on.

If you are an old regular, take note of two very important changes. All comments will be monitored before posting that means there will be a delay in any comment getting posted.… continue reading

This has been the hottest driest summer around here in modern history. In the Missouri Ozarks where I live, it has been in the 90’s or 100’s most days since early June. We have had a grand total of 5 inches of rain since April 1st. In a normal year we would get about four times that amount. We have not had enough rain at one time at my place for the rain to even get down to the roots of trees. Many trees are already losing their leaves and going dormant. Water tables are dropping drastically, wells and ponds are drying up and there is no pasture.… continue reading

Do you realize that there is not one Protestant on the nine member U.S. Supreme Court? There are six Roman Catholics and three Jews. Over one-half of all Americans are Protestants and most of those are Evangelicals, but there is no one representing this large segment of Americans on the Court. Apparently justices were selected to represent skin color, sex and political views but they ignore candidates believing in the inerrancy and sufficiency of the Bible. What does that say about the Evangelical Christian claims of all the Presidents that appointed them? They gave lip service to Evangelicals for votes but their deeds in office say they were not one of us.… continue reading

The next summer of recovery is upon us and the only thing certain is that there will be no economic recovery this summer just like there was no recovery in the previous summers under the Obama administration. The latest official unemployment figures have just gone up again and the number of first time seekers of unemployment benefits are also climbing again.

The average American family has lost 39 percent of their net worth in just the last three years. That 39 percent figure does not include inflation so the real loss of net worth since 2008 is nearing 50 percent. This loss of wealth hit the middle-class the hardest, the upper-class did not experience any fall in net worth at all.… continue reading

The economic and political picture in Europe is rapidly changing for the worse. The recent elections in France will put the Far Left in control for the first time in over thirty years. That means that democracy has already produced a tyranny of the majority in some European countries. The majority have decided to continue their liberal worker benefits and cradle to grave socialistic program even though there is no way that their nation can pay for them.

It is now clear that the majority of people of Europe will just vote out leaders that try to save them from themselves.… continue reading

There hasn’t been much change in the big world picture since last month. The big march on Jerusalem that many Arabs nations were supposed to participate in did not even make the major news medias. That proves that hate indoctrination only goes so far as a motivator. Most Arabs in the Middle East only really care about Jerusalem if there is some payoff for them.

Assad will not be leaving Syria anytime soon despite what the Obama Administration said. No one wants to take on Syria because Assad has Russian and Chinese backing. Nothing would get through the UN, and I do not think NATO will go it alone with Russia threatening a response if they should do so.… continue reading

The death of outspoken conservative Andrew Breitbart last week was quite a shock especially since he was telling everyone that something would be unveiled on March 1st about Obama that would be the beginning of the end for Obama. Breitbart collapsed and died while walking home from a bar shortly after midnight on the morning of March 1st.

Andrew Breitbart was only 43 but thus far police are saying that he died of natural causes. An autopsy has been performed but they say they are still waiting for the toxicology report before the finding will be released. Some alternative media sites are wondering about the reason for the long delay in the toxicology report.… continue reading

The Republican Party establishment continues to be predictable in the 2012 presidential nomination. Every time a conservative pops up the Republican Party establishment shows up to play Whac-A-Mole. Rick Santorum was the last conservative that popped up the hole. He is also the last conservative left in the game that has not been whacked, so you can be sure the Republican establishment will now focus their big hammers on him.

Mitt Romney is the only acceptable candidate for the Republican establishment because the establishment is as center left as he is. Does it even matter anyway who Republicans make their candidate?… continue reading

Our government had better start dealing with the threats against this country or we are going to wake up to an EMP one day soon. Iran is frantically building missile bases in Venezuela with the thought of having intermediate range nuclear tipped missiles that could easily reach the United States. Anyone who thinks we can allow Iran to gets nukes because they are no threat to America is out of touch with reality.

We do not even know that Iran does not have nukes already and even if they don’t, they could have nukes anytime they want. The time to deal with Iran was years ago and the time to deal with that tin horn dictator in Venezuela is now.… continue reading

The end of the year is upon us already and next year will start off with presidential primaries for the Republican Party nominee for President. After all these months of vetting (I hate that word but it seems fitting for politicians) candidates it looks like the Republicans end up with two losers. Romney could not even beat McCain in the 2008 run, and Gingrich did not even run in 2008 because he had too much baggage to carry. So what has changed?

It seems to me that we have another failure to get most Americans to critically think about the leaders that they will vote for.… continue reading

By looking at the gains in the stock markets over the last couple of weeks one would think that the European debt crises was resolved. I cannot believe that people are that stupid so I think financial managers are really just gambling that others will bid up the price of stocks based on the recent European agreement. In other words, the 2000 point swings that we are seeing in the stock market in the last couple of months is due to speculators that are gambling on the rise or the fall of the stock markets and not on the fundamentals of the companies that sell stock in the market or the European debt.… continue reading

The silence on my last post had been rather deafening. The lack of views and response was probably because it was not about the end of the world or politics or the fall of this nation. How many people are still going to websites that were predicting that the Rapture would be on the Feast of Trumpets this year? Well folks, for you pre-trib premillennial Rapture believers the seventy years since 1948 have expired if you add the seven year period that is commonly called the tribulation. We are still here. Those teaching this were wrong.

They now may produce Mayan prophecies, Mahdi Antichrist, and Planet X theories but sorry…they will not appear here.… continue reading

Its been ten years since the terrorist attack on 9/11/01 and we have been pretty fortunate that there has not been a successful WMD event in all that time. If you would have asked me in 2001, I would have told you that I thought that more mass casualty attacks were inevitable.

The reason they have not happened can be credited to our military and our intelligence agencies and the lack of sophistication of the terrorists. If you remember back in those days we were wondering if Russian built suitcase nukes were available to terrorists. Apparently they were not. The Russian general making the suitcase nuke claim was apparently just blowing smoke.… continue reading

It is amazing how fast economic perceptions can change in just over a week. People have been speculating in the stock and oil market like we were really going to have a significant recovery. Apparently they do not believe what people like me have been telling them. There is no recovery! Suddenly the markets are acting like there is going to be a double dip recession. Three trillion dollars has been lost in these markets in less than two weeks.

I wonder who is losing the money? All I can say is that big time gambling has its risks, some learn their lesson and some do not.… continue reading

The data that came out today confirms that there has been no economy recovery in the United States. The official unemployment was up and no jobs have been created in the last two months and housing prices are still falling. So what has all this stimulus money bought to the common working stiff? Seems to me that the stimulus just brought more speculation in the financial markets and it put the nation much further into debt. The Government is still projecting 3 percent growth for the rest of the year. But, it won’t happen. They do not have a clue.

At this point in time the government is using smoke and mirrors to pay its debt obligations which are now about $14.5 trillion.… continue reading

I have been saying ever since the green shoots statements that there is not going to be any real recovery under this administration. The last economic news is pretty bleak. Official unemployment from the government is back up to 9.1 percent and real unemployment is double what they report. I read where the average production non supervisory wages are less than $9 an hour in this country. Try supporting your family on that and those are the people who are working. Food prices are way up and both Costco and Wal-Mart have said higher prices are going to have to be passed on.… continue reading

Rev. David Wilkerson died in a car crash late last month. He was best known nationally for the book “The Cross and the Switchblade”. He was pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. Wilkerson also has warned this nation of coming judgment on this nation for over thirty years. Whether his highly published visions of judgment were actually coming from God like he claimed or just from his own mind because of his fear that God would judge this nation is debatable. (Even Wilkerson said the failed prophecies that he made probably came from his own fears.) Nevertheless, what Wilkerson generally perceived that would happen in this nation becomes inevitable if people in this nation continue the downward spiral into wickedness.… continue reading
