In a recent previous article I suggested that leftist permissiveness has gone too far and there could be a purge coming from the religious right. What I did not say is that I think much of this purge will take place because of the influence of the Roman Catholic Church.

There may be a war with Islam to bring about the rise of Rome, or it could come about through Marian deceptions, or through some other means, but I am convinced that the whore of Revelation 17 is the Roman Catholic Church. MbS Saudi prince king could have prophetic implications

What is happening in Saudi Arabia has pretty much been lost in the sex allegations in the news. Even so, what happens in Saudi Arabia is very important to the world and is likely to have prophetic implications. Bible prophecy students should be closely following the events now taking place in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

Rather than celebrating everything dead this Halloween the living really ought to find out how they can receive eternal life. God is not tricking us. The treat is that by grace God gives eternal life to all who believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. The risen Savior now gives everlasting life to all those that put their faith in Him. He is a free gift of God. Salvation is not something that people can earn for themselves.

Last week the California fires that killed dozens of people took over the news. Who set those fires? This week the big news was the sex allegations against Harvey Weinstein. American revival missing in action until the tribulation?

If you believed some of the revival hype that was going around back a few years ago, you might have been lead to believe that by now people in our nation would be fasting, praying and repenting so that God would heal our land. That obviously is not happening.

There were Christian rallies that were advertised as the kick off for this great American revival. Herdsmen of Lot corrupted by cities of Sodom and Gomorrah

Most Christians know the biblical story of Abraham and Lot. Lot was Abraham’s nephew and righteous Lot traveled where God was leading Abraham. Tension started increasing between the herdsmen of Abraham and Lot so they agreed to part company. Lot and his herdsmen chose to move to the plains where the cities were located. There the herdsmen mingled with the natives and they became influenced by evil people that occupied Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham stayed in the hill country and walked with God.

Not more than a couple of decades after Lot departed from Abraham, Lot’s herdsmen apparently became part of the problem.

WWJD about LifeWay dominating SBC Sunday School Bible studies?

LifeWay now teaches almost all group studies within the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and many other churches as well. Sunday School “teachers” in most SBC churches are actually facilitator’s for LifeWay publishing house materials. Most Sunday School leaders do not know the Bible well enough to teach it and most church boards would not allow them to depart from using LifeWay materials even if they did. LifeWay studies seemed to be designed to not rock anyone’s theological boat. Pastors and church leaders trust LifeWay to not offend anyone with their inoffensive Gospel that avoids controversial passages and Bible prophecy.

I have taken a position against replacing real Bible studies with LifeWay magazine studies for more than a decade and I express why in this article that I wrote over ten years ago.

Putting Heaven and Hell in a more biblical perspective

Most religious people think that after death those that did enough good works will go up to Heaven for eternity and people who did too many bad works will go down to Hell for eternity. They might be surprised that the Bible does not agree with their premise. First, salvation depends upon faith in the Lord, not in our own good or bad performance. Second, the Bible teaches that Hell will be done away with. It is thrown in the Lake of Fire. Third, the Bible teaches that the Kingdom of Heaven will actually at least partly exist on the Earth.

Most Americans could not survive long term electrical grid failure

The threat of a long-term electrical grid failure was addressed by me several times in the past, but 11 years after I first wrote about the threat most Americans are still not aware that they are in danger. An extended electrical grid failure in the United States would result in the death of most people living in our cities.

This is not some danger that I am pulling out of thin air. It is not a conspiracy theory. Extended grid failure is a grave danger to our nation established in scientific fact. Experts who looked into the Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) threat with the resultant extended grid failure threat have warned our leaders of the dire consequences since 2004.
