I am not dead yet.

Just a short message to let those who wish to know…I am not dead yet.

I had a major operation in December where they gutted me like a pig. Since the operation I have been in hospitals six separate times totaling about 130 days and all of that time mostly flat on my back. My home time has not been much better.

Although I am doing a little better the past few days, I still have cancer and any recovery may be brief.

I have not read any emails since December. I will be checking some of them out over the next couple weeks.… continue reading

living one day at a time even when Imminent dangers appear

When I wrote about my cancer diagnose a year ago, I thought I only had a few months to live. Nevertheless, I obviously am still around. The targeted chemo I have been taking has kept the cancer in check for now, and even shrunk the main tumor a third. I guess they will be doing a reevaluation in a few months to determine if surgery to remove the tumor could be feasible. In any case, the targeted chemo usually stops working after the first year or two. When that happens, they have to try something else.

Latest information on the health of Don Koenig

A number of people have been emailing asking about my health, so I will give a brief update for those that are wondering.

I have GIST cancer that has spread to other organs and there are other issues as well. The chemo thus far is keeping the GIST cancer tumors in check, but there is no cure for this type of cancer. The chemo is buying me some time, but the drug stops working on the tumors after being on it for a year or so.

The pastor at a baptist church where I attend said that with the tribulation drawing closer we had to increase our effort to get people saved, because those not believing will end up in Hell. By Hell, he actually meant the Lake of Fire. They are not the same place, but they often are used synonymously as if they were. By saved, he meant saved into the Church. Time is indeed growing short to get out gospel message before the tribulation, but many people will still be saved afterward.

Spiritual gifts from God keep on giving in the new year and beyond

Those who believe and receive God’s Son by grace are given the gift of His Holy Spirit along with one or more spiritual gifts for service to others in the Body of Christ. The main spiritual gifts God wants believers to know about are listed in the New Testament (i.e. apostles, prophets, teachers, helps, administrations, etc), but I would not limit the spiritual gifts to just those listed any more than I would limit the Holy Spirit.

Paul tells us that seeking spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church was a common practice among early believers (1Co 14:12). Therefore, these spiritual gifts are not as fixed after conversion as some seem to think.… continue reading

I hope people planning the trip north to illegally enter the United States are aware of a few things. Mankind thinks it is becoming enlightened but over the last couple of centuries the human race has replaced real science with fanciful notions that they cannot prove. When academia finds out they were wrong, as they continually do, they just add on more fantasy to their delusion. The fantasy that academia believes spans from cosmology to astrophysics, from evolution to geology, from anthropology to religion.

The Internet system that now exists has been hijacked by wealthy techofascists. They use their platforms to control the digital data created by others. Jesus is the reason for the season. Who would have even thought of such a concept where the Creator of everything would enter His creation in order to save the human race from its bondage to sin, death and the Devil?

The prophet Isaiah said this would happen.

Resurrecting the dead

Over the next couple of weeks I will be resurrecting about 15 articles from my old blog and posting them here for reading and comment. These are articles that never made it into the top 120 viewed posts on my old blog. They are also articles that are not easily found by a Google search. One would have to have read most everything on my old blog to have read them. 2017 storm of the century visits the Ozarks

Due to storms in the Ozarks I have had no access to the Internet since April 29th. If the outage continues until May 2nd, I will attempt to post this from a local MacDonald’s, that is, if I can even get out my road to get to one. The only road out of here is now under ten feet of water. The cell phone tower is also out so I cannot use the phone to communicate either.

Severe thunderstorms started on the evening of April 29th and they did not end for 36 hours. I measured 10.5 inches of rain at my place but even more rain fell upstream.… continue reading

It has been about a year since I stopped posting new articles on my World and Church Trends and Bible Prophecy Blog. The physical relocation has taken much longer than I expected. Just about every delay possible became the reality.

I still mostly live at the old place with my dogs. My wife lives mostly at the new place because it is near where she now works.
