I do not think it is wise for liberty loving Americans to put all their eggs in the orange basket. I can think of many reasons why Trump may only be a one term president and even if he is reelected what do liberty loving Americans do for an encore to stop the leftist takeover in America?
Trump is already signaling that he will compromise with leftists trying to subvert our Constitution. If Trump loses even a small part of his base, he will not get reelected. According to a Fox News poll Trump’s disapproval rating is now at 56 percent. If this gets much higher, the Republican Party should start thinking about finding a replacement before the election. Otherwise, if Republicans go down with Trump, the leftists who wish to destroy this nation will win the White House.
Trump has never been a true conservative. Any conservative President would not be running trillion dollar deficits in the largest expansion America has had in decades. A conservative would not be calling the communist killers of China and North Korea his good friends. Any true conservative would not be knee-jerking to the cultural Marxists and LGBT with their agenda to destroy families and traditional values in America. A conservative would not be making deals with those trying to take away our second amendment constitutional liberties. The list goes on. Trump may be a nationalist, and he certainly is better than any alternative that the Democrats will offer, but America’s goose is still being cooked on the back burner.
Trump could easily lose part of His base if he knee-jerks and signs red flag gun laws or assault weapon bans. Any of these guns laws will be used by the left to take guns away from liberty loving Americans. The left already claims that everyone believing in traditional American values is crazy, so with the red flag laws they will not need to prove much additional degree of crazy to come for the weapons.
The leftists have openly said they will do away with the Second Amendment. They even said they would pack the Supreme Court to get that done. So, why should Trump be compromising with the enemies of liberty loving Americans? New guns laws will not stop mass shootings and after any future mass shooting the politicians will just come up with other reasons to take away guns from law-abiding citizens.
Mass shootings happen because we have psychopathic people. The solution to stop those that prey on others is not taking away guns from those wanting to protect themselves from the psychopaths. The predators in the world are the reason weapons of self-defense are an inalienable right. The things common to mass killers are failure to nurture as a young child, coming from broken homes, being social outcasts, drug use and getting involved in the occult. Deal with these root causes of psychopathy and there would be far less mass murders. The solution is not taking away guns from those that need the guns to protect society from the psychopaths walking our streets or the sociopaths wishing to enslave everyone else to the state or their ideology.
We already have background checks. Does “intelligent” universal background checks mean the government will check your medical records and everything the police, NSA, Facebook and Google has ever gathered on you before you can buy a gun? Like in China, will you need to earn a certain social score to be found worthy of trust? At the very least a universal background check will mean that you will have to pay a gun dealer to get government approval to transfer your guns to anyone else. Also, the left fully knows that universal background checks are not enforceable. So, after the next big shooting, they will insist that universal gun registration is necessary. Once the guns are registered, the government is then only one national crisis declaration away from ordering confiscation.
Trump’s base is wise to these creeping gun laws, and they are not going to be happy with Trump if he capitulates. They already know Trump outlawed bump stocks and that he is considering banning silencers. None of this knee-jerking has anything to do with hindering mass shootings. Trump said that he will talk about bans of assault weapons (semiautomatics), but Trump says he don’t think there is congressional support for that. Notice that Trump is not saying that he would not support an assault weapon ban if Congress should pass it. In fact, Trump seems to be saying quite the opposite. Trump’s daughter is presently working with Congress to get gun control legislation passed. What does that say to his base?
If Trump alienates even a small part of his base, he cannot get reelected. Don’t believe the nonsense you hear that most Americans would not vote for any of those crazy politicians running on the left. They would. Half this nation is certifiably crazy. These people elected radial leftist Obama twice just because of his skin shade. In 2016 the majority voted for psychopath traitor Hillary Clinton, so that she could deal with the conservative deplorables and sell out America to international socialists. The polls show the majority of Americans support same sex marriage, believe that gender is fluid and believe abortions of their offspring is a right. Need I say more? Half this nation is certifiably insane. Trump cannot afford to lose anyone still supporting him.
The Democrats will not remain divided. Don’t even assume that it will be any of the people running for President now. The primary nomination is still a year away. No matter who gets the nomination they will come together on an anti Trump anti Republican platform before the election. There are larger percentages of Americans registering as Democrats than ever before. The Democratic Party will promise the takers everything at the expense of makers. Socialists often gain control of a nation through a democratic vote. After that, comes the police state.
What could go wrong? Trump makes everything about him, but that could be his fatal flaw. What is he going to run on if the programs he flaunts are not working out so good? The economy could be in a recession by the election. Signs of recession are already flashing. That is why Trump is defecting the blame for the slowdown to the Fed chairman. That also is why Trump just announced that he is pushing off the tariffs on China. Trump picked the Fed chairman just as he picked all the other people who turned out to be working against him in his first two years. So who should Trump blame for his own stupid selections? He should have known that you cannot appease leftists by picking someone from their establishment. Or does Trump continually pick swamp creatures because he is comfortable floating his boat in swampy waters?
Could Trump be reelected with rising unemployment? He will try to deflect the blame to the Fed but that is not going to fly. The interest rates have been less than inflation for well over a decade. The small savers with deposits in American banks actually lose buying power each year. Going back to zero interest rates will not have a good outcome when nobody wants to save or buy our debts anymore. The only salvation factor thus far has been that many nations are in even worse shape, so they buy U.S. Treasuries for protection. At some point nobody wants to save, nobody lends, debts do not get paid, banks fail and the whole debt house of cards collapses.
The economy of the whole world is weakening because of high debt, uncertainty and Trump’s actions against China. I am not blaming Trump for what is happening in China. His protectionism is just hastening the inevitable. China has been robbing us blind since Bill Clinton. It had to stop. Nevertheless, economic actions have economic consequences. America is not immune from economic weakness in the world. How do you run for reelection on a strong economy with the economy falling into a recession?
If the economy goes into recession, Trump just might quit. He certainly would not be reelected. Therefore, we need to think about a post Trump Republican alternative should a recession start to play out. At every sign of weakness the leftist media certainly will be trumping the recession card and perception can be a pretty strong influencer of reality. If enough people believe we are heading into a downturn, it probably will happen. Even so, the real depression starts right after the Democrats gain the White House.
Trump has also put his reputation on the line by saying that the mass killers of China and North Korea are his friends and are good people. What could go wrong there? His psychopathic friend Xi might send in the Peoples Liberation Army to liberate Hong Kong and slaughter hundreds of protesters waving American flags there in some false hope of freedom. With China’s economy in decline who knows what actions the ChiCom’s would take to deflect from their internal problems. They might unleash Trump’s other psychopathic friend (Kim of North Korea) and he might start shooting off long range missiles again. Trump’s bragging about his relationship with psychopath killers might just come back to bite him in the butt before the election.
The same goes for claims about a middle east deal. Where is it? And if Trump ever presents it, will anyone but the psychopaths of Saudi Arabia ever accept it? It is getting obvious to me that Iran is going to force Trump to take military action sooner or later. Who gets the blame when Americans lose their lives just because Trump wants to be the no more wars President? Meanwhile, ISIS is making a comeback, Russia has developed superior nuclear capabilities, Venezuela is a failed nation and we have a narco state on our southern border. All of this is taking place on Trump’s watch.
So, who might be a post Trump alternative should Trump fall on his sword, be deposed or decide he would rather go on a prosperity tour with his spiritual advisor Paula White? Should Trump falter, liberty loving Americans cannot just give the country over to tyrannical loving Democrats. That would bring about a civil war. Mike Pence might be God’s answer to replace Trump. Perhaps that is why this true Christian and true conservative quietly sits in the wings. Even so, at this point, if Trump is removed from the picture, I do not see Mike Pence getting enough support to win any 2020 election against the entrenched leftist establishment. Does anyone have anyone else in mind who could win a 2020 election should any post Trump effort to keep our Republic becomes necessary before the Republican primary?
I agree, Trump is certainly not perfect but the only other choices are like 4 times worse ! I will be extremely surprised if TRUMP has a 2nd term. Pelosi and the democrats are not fully pursuing impeachment because they sense Trump can read the Handwriting on the Wall and are hoping he will ‘Crash and Burn’ all by himself. I agree that Pence is who we really need, however, I do not believe he could win. Nikki Haley is the only one who could in my opinion. She may be part of the establishment though, but she supports Israel and has a good track record as governor and ambassador. Maybe she left her post for this very scenario?

If Christians do nothing to preserve a country designed by Christians for Christians, they will be trampled under. Good article Don. Many people seem to be putting a lot of hope on Donald Trump and on the leaders in this world. That can only lead to discouragement. We are a part of something far greater. Yes, Donald Trump might falter. He is old. I am not as old as he and can see, on occasion how tired he sometimes looks. My personal OPINION is that if President Trump fails to be re-elected we are on the path to another civil war. The radical left has said they will increase SCOTUS to 15 and pack the judges to overrule the constitution. Many Americans believe their rights are not determined by radicals in power and a collision is IMO inevitable. That said, I do pray for our country and for President Trump. President Trump has been very supporting of Israel and I think that is the one metric that God may decide a lot of things by. I also believe, as I think you do, the Rapture is very near. If President Trump is reelected, I think there is a real chance we will not be here for the 2024 election. For that matter there is no assurance it will not occur before the 2020 vote. In the interim however, we must continue to serve Christ, wait and pray. There is one line from a book called “the Vision” written a lot of years ago by a preacher name David Wilkenson or something like that. I do not buy into any “visions” anyone has had after the ones the Apostle John on Patmos, but the book did describe a lot of sad things that he saw in the future and ended with one line that I think is still true. He wrote to remember “God has everything under control”. Yes, we are in the end times, things are unsettled but we are his and he has everything under control. We need to keep out faith in him and watch the show unfold as I think he intends for us to do. I personally think the spirit filled church serves to restrain the evil rapidly approaching. When it is removed, yes, the US and the world will be quickly overwhelmed with evil. Until that time, I keep my hope in Christ and not in any human. I think God brought us the Donald for this time, if Christ’s time is not ready for the US to go down, he will provide a replacement. I think the 2016 election was something of a miracle. 2020 can be too.

I don’t believe Haley removed any statues, it was the CSA battle flag from the statehouse grounds that was removed. The flag was given a military type honor ceremony by the State law enforcement honor guard. It was removed without incident surprisingly, and placed in the museum. I didn’t fully agree with its removal, but to the victor go the spoils I guess.
She endorsed Marco Rubio if that tells you anything. We would essentially get someone overwilling to compromise on some key issues I believe, immigration most likely. I could be wrong. I liked her as governor, but it’s a whole different ballgame as President.

I honestly don’t see anyone who could really replace Donald Trump. I know someone will of course step in, but there is only1 Donald Trump and he has been a force to be reckoned with. I’m glad I got to see it. No one else would have ever called out all these fools for who they are, and they are fools. The gun issue could be a real problem if he relents. I think he will lose a lot of people because of it. Haley is a no go for me. I seriously suggest Judge Jeanine Pirro – if you don’t know who she is, watch her show on FOX, Saturday evenings and look her up on the internet. I see her as willing and able to take on the swamp and elites, she is republican/conservative, feisty, articulate, politically savvy, knows and respects the law. I know little about her spiritual condition, I understand she is a practicing Catholic, I do not of course, know her heart. She seems to be highly ethical, loves America, liberty and our constitution. I have not read any of her books yet.

Pirro is a good law and order person but that is all she knows. We need to think about leaders that can connect with the majority of Americans or else constitutional Christians will be just wasting their votes again. A lot depends on what happens between now and then. I am more concerned with keeping the Presidency in 2020. I do not think a Trump reelection is anywhere near a sure thing. Most Presidents were either governors of a state or were a Senator. We might start by vetting those.
I think demographics and voter fraud are going to be a problem in 2020. I live in Orange County, Ca., what was once a Republican stronghold. That’s now flipped to Democrat. Serious voter fraud here in Ca. and the only one looking into is Judicial Watch it seems. They’ve had a little success in cleaning up a few things, but not enough. The Democrats excel at voter fraud and they’re exporting their tactics to other states. Couple that with the demographic changes in a lot of key states and it could be a recipe for disaster for the GOP. Ted Cruz barely won in Texas, DeSantis and Rick Scott barely won in Florida. So neither of those states are secure. Satan is attacking with everything in his arsenal. I keep hoping that more Republicans in leadership positions will grow a spine after Donald Trump has shown them how to push back, but there doesn’t seem to be enough of them and too many are RINOs anyway. God answered our prayers before, I just don’t know if he will do it again given how far we continue to fall.

Wayne Allyn Root is known for his hyperbole. Trump will retreat anything that he feels is promoting him. His spiritual advisors are not going to concern themselves with Root’s hyperbole or Trump’s promotion of himself.

I sincerely hope that Trump won’t commit ‘political suicide’ i voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils. Our political system doesn’t really gives us much choice what worries me is that he is isolating himself more and more from his advisers like King Saul he doesn’t realize that he must surround himself with men/ women who are willing to fight with him when the cause is right.

The real problem is that Trump did surround himself with advisers that would not fight with him. Let’s hope with his more recent picks they will. If he starts throwing spears at Mike Pence, I might agree with your Saul comparison.
Just found your blog! Was reading your post on seven days seven thousand years and your estimated time for the kingdom 2030 to 2035. Couldn’t agree with more. I had written a book titled The Rapture 2028. I know this is not on subject with previous post but I have a theory that Trump is messing up the new world order plans to devalue American and the only way to correct there plans is to totally destroy the United States with atom bombs and I think that will happen in a single day. Obama had things going there way but Trump has messed up there plans leaving only one option for them. Total destruction of America by 2028.
Man’s time of rule is 6000 years divided into three two day or 2000 year periods. The last two day period began on the cross of calvary. If we can find the exact time Christ was born and crucified we can get very close to knowing the year of the Kingdom. No one knows the day nor the hour but that day should not surprise us. Jesus was born in the fall of 7BC. I think on seventh month on 10th day of the Jewish month. That puts the death of Christ 27 to 28 AD. There is seven years remaining from a previous two day or 2,000 year period which will put the Kingdom at about 2035. The destruction of America will have to take place before 2028 and will usher in the new world order. They have to bring America to her knees to put the one world government in power and Trump was not in there plans. If he is re-elected that truly will screw up there plans for sure! Your conjecture is off the post topic, read my commenting rules. Anyway, most scholars agree that a 7BC birth is too early and the crucifixion was later then 27 or 28 AD. It was probably 32 or 33. Even so, who in the world is going to declare that Trump was the best President ever after you say the U.S is totally destroyed in 2028 by a nuclear attack???? That is not logical.
Trump’s (and Pence’s) preferred conservative ideology is losing followers.
Growing numbers of voters prefer the opposite, comprised of those who:
-Are anti-Christian
-Are ignorant of or defend Islam
-Want us to welcome more illegal aliens via open borders
-Want something for nothing: health care, college tuition, meals, income
-Want government to do more for them via bigger government
-Want less personal responsibility
-Defend or promote the LBGTQAI+++++++ lifestyle and amorality.
-Could care less about marriage and family except for tax benefits among queers.
-Wouldn’t sacrifice anything for a better life beyond 5 minutes from now.

“What if Michael Bloomberg isn’t running to win the Democratic nomination? What if he is running to set up an independent run in 2020? If he can carve off enough electoral votes that neither the Republican nor the Democratic candidate has the votes to go over the top, then the Presidential race is decided in the House of Representatives-and, yes it has happened before. The top 3 candidates would be voted on by House members. If the choices are Sanders, Trump and Bloomberg, who do you think would win?”
My response:
“Everyone would lose because no matter who was chosen it would trigger a civil war.”
I agree that Bloomberg has the arrogance, money, and ego to run as a third party. I do not believe though that he would take many votes from President Trump supporters. He would split the democrat votes and, I suspect, increase Trump’s electoral vote total. That said, we, I believe, are in the final phase before the Rapture of the church and I believe that God does have the entire end time process under his control.
Kim Clement “prophesied” that President Trump would serve two times. I have a strong disinclination to believe these modern “prophets”, though admit that God can certainly produce them. I do not believe that God ceased supernatural acts when the last apostle died but as a child went to churches where such “prophecies” were common and not fulfilled. I think many things are possible but a third party candidate is not going to win. Bloomberg even said that. A third party President also would get nothing done because he would not get the votes necessary in the House and the Senate to get anything passed.
I think Bloomberg intends to win this thing and if he does not get the delegates he will probably succeed in getting enough votes to get it to a brokered convention where he could be kingmaker and either become the VP candidate or get a cabinet position. He actually is trying to stop the communist Sandburg from being the nominee.
If there actually was a strong third party candidate like Bloomburg, Trump would probably win in a landslide as long as he kept his base of about 40 percent. It would not be decided by the House because Trump would get enough electoral college votes. With 3 candidates running and splitting the vote Bloomberg probably would not carry any states and would not get enough electoral college votes to make any difference.

Kim Clement is a false prophet. Don’t bet on Trump having two terms on anything he says. Just on natural thinking I have my doubts that Trump will actually be in office much longer.
