Some think the civil war in America has already started. Has the fall of America as a world power already begun? The reprobate minded radical left who are controlling the Democratic Party obviously believes insurrection is warranted against President Trump. They also are hostile toward his supporters. The left already tried a coup attempt and an impeachment to overthrow the president.
Democrats are now outright saying they will take it to the streets if Trump is winning the election. This radical leftist hijacked party plans to use any means necessary, even insurrection, to drive Trump from office. I think people funding and pushing this insurrection should be rounded up and prosecuted. Where in the world other than here has there ever been a coup attempt and nothing done about the perpetrators?
Now just one month before the election Trump has Covid-19. Who knows what complications that will bring? Obese old people have greater risk of having serious outcomes. Even if you survive, the disease could zap your strength. Trump does have a good backup in Mike Pence, but Pence does not excite people.
Trump supporters are not going to just let these leftist zombies destroy our nation. If the police are not allowed to handle the threat, the people being threatened will rise up and handle it themselves. I cannot tell you how this will all play out because a lot depends on how loony the left gets. The insurrection will get worse in the short term if the election is close and worse long term if there is a blow-out by either side. In any case, it’s going to get real crazy in America after the election, so you need to be prepared for that.
Some are wondering if America is under judgment. Obviously these things would not be happening if the nation was honoring God. Conditions in our nation will continue to grow worse unless the nation as a whole repents. If the nations persists down the path of evil, we may not only see civil strife we might get in a war with a nation that knows how to put out our lights.
Things are heating up with China and Iran. There could be a military confrontation very soon. Think about what will happen if the lights go out in America for many months. Could you survive where you are at? Frankly, the vulnerability of our electrical grid could kill many more people in America than anything else. In less than a year two-thirds or more of Americans could be dead. Taking the grid down literally would bring the demise of America as a world power within months.
Both the Republicans and the Democrats are confident that they will win the 2020 election. It’s hard to say which side is being more delusional. In reality, both sides will lose no matter who wins. Can anyone govern this divided nation anymore without also making it a police state? Will Trump be able to govern without crackdowns on those who are promoting the insurrection and without putting federal troops in the cities? Can Harris govern without using law enforcement to force the democrat radical leftist agenda down the throats of traditional Americans?
Unless there is great repentance in America we are going to have a dreadful decade. If only half of those calling themselves Christian would actually live by Christian moral concepts we could avoid the fall of our nation. Even so, I think most of us know that is not going to happen. Franklin Graham just held a well advertised prayer rally in Washington last Saturday but you would hardly know it by the response from Americans and the media.
Repentance of the nation will not happen because even “Christian” Americans choose to support the cultural Marxist antichrist agenda. There is little fear of God in America. Everyone does what is right in his own eyes. The events so far this year will likely prove to be just a warmup for what is coming. The way things are going, I don’t think America will be the leading world power anymore by mid-decade.
We are living in the end times and should soon expect the prophetic events detailed in Daniel and Revelation. First the Church represented by John is told to come up to Heaven (Rev 4:1) and then all restraint that hinders Satan and his world kingdom is removed. Satan then empowers a world leader and the riding of the four horsemen of Revelation begin to play out. The ten kings are empowered and a little horn comes up among them and expands toward the east, south and toward Israel (Dan 7:8 & 8:9). The little horn rides to power (white horse) saying great things and convinces many nations to follow him, but some do not, so a great war of conquest takes place (red horse).
By the end of the war, there is famine and food rationing across the planet (black horse) followed by great revolutions and plagues (pale green horse). After the four horsemen are finished a great persecution of believers in the God of Heaven ramps up (Rev 6: 9-11). In other words, creation worshiping pagans gain full control of the world.
With the recent Covid-19 shutdowns worldwide, observe the amount of control the governments already have in all nations of the world. When the great famine occurs at the riding of the black horse it should be obvious that government will determine how much food each person gets (so much for the claims people make that they cannot lose weight). Then the pale horse rides and there is greater pestilence than the world has ever seen in modern times. At that point, governments of the world will have full control over everyone. Global tyranny actually comes about with the riding of the four horsemen and the persecution, not the later mark of the Beast system. The mark will be the end result of global tyrannical controls that had already been put in place.
The ten kings empower by Satan and the little horn leader will seek to govern the whole earth. The riding of the four horsemen is how the Antichrist gains control of much of the earth. As the four horsemen ride, the main thing still hindering him will be the two prophets in Israel. He was not able to kill them. But, after being shot in the head and supernaturally raised as the Son of Perdition he does receive the supernatural power to slay them. He kills the two prophets that tormented the world and presents himself as the Messiah as he enters the temple of God claiming to be God.
The Church will not be here to see all this. The Rapture occurs before any of the horsemen ride. The Church is snatched up to witnesses Jesus being given the seven sealed scroll and His opening of the scroll that unleashes the riding of the four horsemen.
We should see that the things happening this year with the pandemic are really more about governments flaunting their control over their people than any medical crisis. Satan does not know God’s timing, but he is not stupid. He knows he will be allowed to bring down America if it does not repent. Satan knows the scriptures and knows that the Roman Empire had to be the fourth kingdom spoken about by Daniel. He therefore also knows the fall of America will mark the time for the revived Roman Empire. God’s hand on America has hindered his objectives in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East for over a hundred years.
Satan’s last attempt at a revived Roman Empire was with Hitler and Mussolini. It failed because of God’s hand on America. The rise of Russia and Communism was Satan’s attempt to take America out. Satan wanted Russia and America to destroy each other. With God’s hand lifting from America he just may now be allowed to take America out of the equation and get another ball rolling in Europe.
Satan fully knows a revived Roman Empire and a revived Israeli nation proceeds the return of Jesus. He also knows that the Spirit hindering him has to be removed before he can gain the total control needed. The Devil does know that God is taking out a spiritual regenerated people because he can not harm them unless God allows. This also becomes obvious because when these people die their souls are not going down to hell like the rest. He knows there will be a taking of the spiritually regenerated before the end, and he already knows his deceptive response about their departure.
Satan is not blind to what is written in scripture. He quotes scripture. He has it all memorized. Satan intends to empower a worldly Christ who supersedes the return of God’s Christ. That is why the Son of Perdition enters the Temple and claims to be God. If he could defeat the Jewish savior, none of the other stuff written about him in scriptures could be fulfilled. He would remain the God of the fallen universe for eternity.
That is why John wept when no earthly human could be found worthy to open the book and pronounce what was written on the fallen world (Rev 5:2-5). Even so, Jesus came from God, became a human, was sinless, rose from the dead and went back to God. He was not earthly, but He was fully human and sinless. He was fully worthy to take the book from the Father that declares God’s judgments on this fallen world along with its restoration through His Messiah.
It seems America will be taken out of the picture because of her sins and then world power will shift back to where it was in the first century. I don’t know if the Church will see any of that before the Rapture, but Christians in America should be prepared to experience whatever happens to come our way.

Amen. We under Trump are Israels greatest ally. The Bible says none will help Israel in the end, so America must be removed before Israel faces the time of Jacobs trouble. He is in the higher risk age bracket but the death rate in that group is weighted by nursing homes etc. Had some family members on facebook rejoicing at his illness, that was upsetting.
There looked to be a large group for that prayer march but our evil media panned it. I was glad to see the size of crowd that showed up. I pray for people to repent and hope this country is able to limp along to the rapture. It doesn’t look good.

I have “opinions” that differ in some respects but the end result is pretty much in line with yours. 2020 has been a year of upheaval. My opinion is that the “upheavals” will continue until the second coming of Christ. I actually think that they will continue to worsen to get the attention of people prior to the Rapture and will only worsen after that event IAW with the book of Revelation and as you describe in your commentary. I do have an opinion that Trump will win the 2020 election, but I base that only the fact that I think that there will be a reason that Satan’s minions will not gain full political and physical power in this world prior to the Rapture. The only world power that can keep that from happening is the USA with Donald Trump as President. We (the USA) will have many problems but will still remain as an obstacle to the takeover. I think civil unrest will certainly happen after President Trump gets reelected, but the left will be surprised by the response. The American people are really fed up with the leftist childish and evil behavior. I do look for riots and threats of secession, but, with an election mandate, President Trump will quickly respond and suppress it. But new and unpredictable problems will continue to rise. I think the vice presidential debate may be even more consequential than the presidential debates. I call it the Devil and Daniel Webster scenario. Since we all know Biden won’t be around long if he does get elected, I think it’s really important for people to see just how evil Kamala is. Pence, being a man of God debating Scratch (Kamala, his minion), so to speak.
First, I am very grateful you are ok, Don, and that yours wasn’t COVID. Secondly, I think Trump is lying he got the virus. This situation reminds me of an old movie you may have watched – Bob Roberts, where Tim Robbins was running for senator when he “got shot” but miraculously “survived” the assassination attempt. If I am right and Trump “overcomes” the virus, the COVID histeria is over because the President himself will tell us what medicine helped him overcome the disease.
Just for the record I was not feeling that bad. I just had fever and got loopy when it got really high. I also was not ever gone. I still read the comments by my phone. They just had me in the hospital three days to keep me under observation. The three days in bed did a bigger number on my body than did the fever. Not even a chair in the room and no visitors allowed due to Covid-19.

I came out of the Catholic church after 8 years of grade school being taught by a nun. Had nothing to do with them since then and got saved at the age of 26 thank you Jesus.

Phil- I agree with a lot of what you say. I do not watch any tv news, I get it mostly from brietbart and real clear politics. I think there is a repeat of 2016 brewing, but im not 100% sure and we wont be able to tell for a while. Read an article today about republican voter registerations being up on democrats in most battleground states, dems did not do ground game until this week. Also, it seems trump is poling higher with hispanics and has a majority of them in Florida according to one source. Ive seen before you are in texas, I am about 30 miles west of Tyler. People here are about done with the mask nonsense and cases are remaining steady. Our church has been open since may, nobody wears a mask, hand shaking still going on. Less people coming to services but creeping up. No outbreak at this time. Probably in for a rough ride as you say but I think God keeps using the U.S. up to the rapture. We know the rapture will break this country if even 10% of it is truly saved.

In revelation it’s says that darkness occurs in the beast’s kingdom at the 5th vial. It does not say the darkness is worldwide. Maybe it just happens in Babylon but the wording does make it appear that his kingdom is a localized geographical area. This may give more weight that the 10 Kings come out of a revised roman empire rather than 10 world regions.

I recently posted in another article that China and Iraq have signed deals that trade oil for infrastructure. Such an agreement would modernize large parts of Iraq very quickly. One plan in the works is to build a new city in the Babylon governorate probably close to Hillah and ancient Babylon. The deal was temporarily put on hold due to pressure from the U.S. although now it looks to likely be going forward to some extent in the near future. We will have to wait and see but I have no doubt this will be how we will see a modern Iraq in the next decade or two.

When do the trumpet judgements occur? Are they during the 1260 day ministry of the two witnesses or are they right before the bowl judgements during the great tribulation?

God always send His prophets before judgment. The Trumpet Judgments occur after the two prophets give their testimony for 1260 days. They occur in the the day of the Lord also called the great tribulation.
Thanks Don. The recent comments about the Judgements showed me that I had forgotten quite a lot from past readings (the original and Rev 1) of your Revelation Commentary. It has been several years. I am rereading it again, now at Chapt 13. It is a very well put together and informative work. I am both remembering some things that I had forgotten and finding new things that I had missed. I recommend your blog followers reread your work. It is worth doing again.
The reason I ask is that the trumpet judgements seem to be the result of this huge comet appearing at the 6th seal. That would mean debris from this celestial body would not effect earth for 3.5 years.
I wonder if the more traditional view is correct. It seems clear that the at least the first 4 or 5 seals have to happen after the rapture but before the final 7 years. The 6th seal right before the start of the final 3.5 years also has some merit ( revelation 6:16-17).

Perhaps the great sign of the Day of the Lord appears at the sixth seal, but maybe God holds the worst of the judgments back until the prophets can give their testimony. In any case, all Bible prophecy teachers do not agree on the timing of the Trumpet Judgments and I can see alternative points.
You do have the signs of the two prophets repeating some of what happened in the days of Exodus so some of the Trumpet judgments may happen in the first half of the seven years. Maybe the Prophets are demanding that the nations let God’s people come to Israel and the early Trumpet judgments are a reaction to the resistance.
I would not think any of the woes would be in the first half of the seven years. Anyway, I would not be dogmatic about the timing of these things. We only really know what is written.
Well, it was mostly good while it lasted. For 244 years America was used by GOD to evangelize the world as no other nation in history. Thousands of Missionaries were sent all over the world, but America is no longer in its prime, the Baby Boom Generation had it good, today millions are unemployed, trillions in National debt and gloom over a second wave of Covid-19. I thank GOD for this country. The FED Chairman just warned the Trump that if a 2nd wave of Covid-19 comes, that the unsustainable U.S. $$$ Economy will most likely not survive.
All these senior WH officials and joint Chiefs all testing positive or quarantining at the same time just 3.5 weeks before the election seems a bit unusual to me.
I am not quite ready to give up on America. I believe that through strife there will be repentance, and many will come to Christ. The collapse or whatever comes will likely remove our place at the top as well, but I believe it is very possible that a secessionist movement could gather steam among like-minded conservative states. In fact that may very well be the only way to save the Union if the Tribulation is not for some time.
Im sure most have seen the news of Gov Whitmer’s attempted “kidnapping”. There is a reason the media is demonizing militia groups. They probably believe armed Americans are going to have a reason to get very upset in the near future. That’s my position at least.

I wonder if Joel 2:28 was translated correctly. Joel uses the word “afterwards” while Peter in Acts 2:17 uses “in the last days”. The reason I mention this is because clearly the early christians were not in the last days unless there is a 7000 year plan and they were in the last millennia of days (beginning day 5). I don’t see how these verses make sense otherwise unless it just meant “after many days”. Since Jesus died around 30-35 AD we should be at some point of the last 7 years during this time if the millennia day theory is actually correct.

Joel is translated correctly. On Acts 2:17 you can find a thousand different interpretations because in difficult passages people tend to read in whatever view that they are looking for. I think it is sufficient to know that Peter was talking about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This being demonstrated by people speaking supernaturally in languages that were never learned. Obvious all of Joel’s prophecy was not being fulfilled at that time.

Well, I understand it was a partial fulfillment of Joel. The question is if the best interpretation is that Peter was also referencing to them being in the last days of the biblical week at that time.
Only if you believe in a 7000 year week. That might be what Peter is saying, but I do not think that is the only explanation of what was said. By the way, you would find that out if you looked at various commentaries on the passage. Even so, nothing said by the commentators is going to lend much support to the 7000 year theory.

I don’t care much for John Piper. He buys Replacement Theology and now apparently has written an article on why he can’t vote for Trump. According to Piper pride is more dangerous to our culture than abortion.
I didn’t read Piper’s article I read Abby Johnson’s response to Piper.
I say if Trump has to remind people of what he’s done for America then so be it because the MSM sure isn’t.
We’re in enough trouble without Piper’s very wrong opinion influencing voters.

Piper also appears with the social justice crowd and rips scripture out of context. We are not building the kingdom of God on earth before Jesus physically returns. The Kingdom also does not come into being by those practicing cultural Marxism. Cultural Marxism is the antithesis of Christianity.
There will be no rising up by conservatives, the “silent majority” has earned its name by grousing, grumbling and occasionally tossing the remote control in the direction of the tv when frustrated by the government or media and so on. Our leaders are quite pleased at how obediently all the docile little lambs have been over the last 8 months or so, complying with most every directive handed down in the name of covid containment. Businesses have been destroyed, suicide rates have climbed, depression and drug abuse are on the increase, and yet we keep letting our keepers take control. This was the time to rise up.

Sad to say I agree with you. I talk to most conservatives and they tell me “God will fix it, we must pray.”
Now don’t get me wrong. I believe God is in control. But I also believe that if we serve HIM, we should be up off our backsides and having these conversations, pushing for these issues, and praying along the way.
The mentality of “all we have to do is pray” is the idea that asking God will make it happen, with no work on our own. And what I attempt to explain to people is that this is inferring that God serves THEM, not the other way around.
Don’t get me wrong. I believe we should both get out there and do things, AND pray. If after doing all of this, the Lord still has decided for things to go a certain direction, then very well. At least we served Him through our actions.
In the end, the Lord is in control, but in the end we also have the free will to decide if we should stand for His principles in this world, or sit back and go “eh God will clean up our mess and fix it.” The latter part which I believe is simply disrespectful. Admittedly we can only be saved through grace and through Christ, we cannot do it on our own. And God requires nothing more than that salvation and faith in Jesus. But when it comes to serving Him and doing what we can to follow His word and stand for what’s right, that’s on us.
Note I stated “do what you can.” Even if all you can do is tell a neighbor about Jesus, or make your views on abortion known, for example, it’s your contribution, your start.
Anyway, just my 2 cents on the topic.
Speaking of power shifting back to where it began, I’m convinced that if a literal babylon is to be rebuilt in Iraq then it is the city of hillah. It is a rapidly growing city with a population over 600k now. It was largely built with the bricks from ancient Babylon and will soon expand to merge and surround the ancient site itself. It will likely be renamed New Babylon at some point. It’s interesting that babylon could of been being rebuilt right under our noses. Now it’s a far cry from a great city but it’s interesting nonetheless.
I should also add that if 538 BC to 1948 AD fulfilled a 2520 year cycle (roughly 2484 in current solar years) then I wonder if 445 BC to 2039 AD is also significant. Perhaps the final 7 years really starts in 2032 AD rather then ends. Too many things point to the 2030s for it to pass without anything prophetic occurring. I just think the tribulation starting in 5 years or so is too soon.
