Only a couple of decades ago China was called the sleeping giant. Nobody would call China that today. Red China is a rapidly growing devouring giant of 1.4 billion people. Most leaders in America have been afraid of riling the sleeping giant since the Korean and Vietnam war. More recent leaders sold out our nation in their effort to appease or to assist the growing communist giant.
Our feckless leaders even appeased grown in America Mao loving pinkos with predictable results. The protected politically correct Marxists were allowed to take over universities, media, corporations and the Democratic Party. The establishment pinkos then gave away our military secrets and manufacturing capability to the red Chinese.
American pinkos helped make China rich and powerful and China continues to use complicit Americans to grow even more powerful. China sells America more than three times the goods and services than we sell them. They also are stealing tens of billions of dollars worth of intellectual property each year.
China exports over $500 billion worth of products to America each year but America only imports about $130 billion from China. President Trump says enough of this highway robbery. Trump says he might place 25 percent tariffs on 150 billion worth of products from China but China says it would take reciprocal action. They really cannot do that because in total they only buy $130 billion worth of products from America each year. Besides, they already put tariffs and VAT taxes on what we sell them.
Trump is right. China has ripped us off for decades and that has to stop. China is not going to win a trade war with America. They can cause pain to America because they hold a lot of our debt but they would also hurt themselves by selling it. The one ace in the hole that China does hold is that they produce eighty percent of the world’s rare earths needed for some high-tech products that we produce. Even so, Australia is the second largest producer of rare earths and they are not going to side with China if America is cut off by China. We have plenty of rare earth deposits in the United States but leftist environmental laws made the mining of them unprofitable. Higher prices and deregulation could change that in a hurry.
All President Trump is asking for is $100 billion annual reduction in the trade imbalance with China. Considering that the trade imbalance is now 400 billion, I think that is a very reasonable request. I believe China would be wise to comply. Starting a trade war that they cannot win would be foolish.
What might happen to China if America only bought the dollar amount that we sold to them? A $300 billion dollar annual hit would put China in a world of hurt. They might even go into a recession. America could solve a lot of our immigration problems by taking half that trade imbalance to buy from nations in our own hemisphere. Yes, the price of many products would temporarily increase in the U.S. but gadgets can be made anywhere. Robotics is rapidly making low-cost manual labor irrelevant.
China will become a big problem for America and the world down the line. By the 2020’s China will move on Taiwan and totally control the South China Sea. China also intends to extend its influence globally through its trillion-dollar One Road One Belt (Silk Road) initiative. During the great tribulation this multi trillion-dollar infrastructure system aids the hordes coming against Israel from the East.
China is setting up a Orwellian surveillance state where the Communist Party controls everyone. They are setting up a system where by 2020 all people in China will be given a citizen score. Those that earn high scores will be rewarded and those with low scores will be punished. I am sure the Chinese will rat out each other to gain points. I think by the mid 2020’s people in China will be monitored 24/7. All people will be required to wear an electronic device so that everything everyone does is known by the state. It will make any resistant to the communist tyranny impossible.
This is where the surveillance society is heading and it will bring even worse persecution upon Christians than already exists in China. Keep in mind, that the globalist elite see the tyrannical communist Chinese system as the authoritarian prototype for global government. When godless world socialists have their way on earth, Christians will not be able to deliver the gospel or be salt and light anymore so there will be no reason for the Church age to continue. After the Church is removed all hell breaks loose on the earth.
China is a devouring giant that will devour the whole world if everyone keeps appeasing it and feeding it. The first step to limiting the growth of this devouring giant is for America and the world to level the trading field.
I agree with the points made on China. And an agreement on a renegotiated NAFTA is nearing completion from earlier reports. But I read today that GM is laying off 1500 workers because sales are down now. Maybe they are slowing down to see where all this trade business settles out at? It’s tough to keep up with all that’s going on these days. But, one thing I do know, is more conservatives need to be engaged in actually DOING something, instead of watching from the sidelines, like watching a car crash in slow motion. If only to get out and vote in stronger numbers, as informed voters.
I read an article last week stating this was China’s ace in the hole in the tariff battle and that we were the largest producer of these minerals in the 1990’s until China bought this producer, scuttled it and closed it down with the help of the environmentalist. I was hoping Trump would bring up in his tweet storms last week that China has now banned all sales of the New Testament, even on-line. Trump could have made sure this news was aired around the world but it has not even been mentioned by any media but a couple of on-line sites. China will still allow for the sale of the Koran, Old Testament and all the books from other religions besides The Way. Obviously you can only find the Truth and the way to God in the Gospels and Satan wants people to remain deceived by allowing all the other books to be available to the masses. The Pope is showing his Revelation colors by allowing for this demonic nation to choose which Catholic Church Bishop’s will serve China. They will not be able to provide any physical scripture and this will allow the false Bishop’s to teach whatever Satan demands.
Another good blog Don. China is an all consuming monster, as is communism. As you know we are approaching the end times rapidly. My opinion is that this must happen, along with the industrialization and modernization of SE Asia and India. The world will divide into 10 regions. Those regions will, IMO, not have huge production/wealth disparities. The “Kings of the East” will put together a massive army later. Had SE Asia, India, and China remained impoverished and weak later prophetic events would be difficult to foresee. It seems likely now.
That said, I thank God for President Trump. Short of an all out nuclear exchange, it will be long before China can seriously imperil the US. The big reason is an ocean and navy. Even if China builds a lot of ships, I do not think it will matter. I think something will have to happen to the US and its navy for China to be much more than a local threat. Of course the rapture, which would put the Clintonites in control of the US, a natural disaster, an election with President Hillary, etc. A lot of bad can happen very fast.

Agreed. I did not mean to imply a prophetic connection to US/China in Psalm 75, just the general truth that God IS always the one who puts down one and lifts up another. He is firmly in control and His purposes will be accomplished, regardless of apparent human power.
That’s not exactly news to mature believers, but Scripture repeats the theme from end to end, and I find it comforting.

God does set down one and lift up another and is in total control. However, what most people do not get is that God’s Holy Spirit works in His people to resist evil tyrants so that more just people can be set up. When we see evil rising on earth Christians should not be sitting on their hands thinking that it is the will of God to allow this evil. Those in the will of God should be doing something opposing the evil rising on earth. The first step to doing that is making others aware of what evils will come if good men do nothing. The perfect example of what I am talking about is when the Church is removed there is no restrainer of evil and that evil soon brings about the wrath of God on the earth.

The Antichrist and His false prophet will gather all nations against Jerusalem in his war against the God of heaven.
During these great wars at the end of the age the modern weapons of warfare that take many years to build will be rapidly used up. Also, the whole earth will be in upheaval during the great tribulation and using aircraft probably will not even be possible. During the great tribulation wars will have to fought using foot solders.

I read the article on the late Kensella’s site and appreciate the promotion. I can think of a lot of better writers on Bible prophecy than me. After reading it I told Pete that I really have not moved the date up of the Lord’s return at all. For the last 20 years I have thought the second coming would be between 2030 and 2040.

The Chinese silk road project could aid in the rebuilding of Babylon but I do not think the Antichrist will be Chinese. I think the rebuilding of Babylon will catch fire as the world moves away from monotheism to polytheism and pantheism. In other words, new Babylon will have much the same paganism as as old Babylon. The Antichrist will be out of the culture of Europe or the middle east but after he rises from the dead religious paradigms will change.

The Chinese behemoth of sure is rising, but there are some things that could get the chinese/ chinese government to surrender their sovereignity to the beast government of the antichrist. Firstly, the ezekiel 38-39 war that would leave Russia invalid and the communist world shaken. Thereafter, by Peace, the antichrist would get the chinese under them, cos Daniel clearly predicts the government of the Antichrist tramples the world under its feet, the chinese would be no exception, atleast by peaceful methods decisively, subtly the chinese would buckle, its only after the antichrist descretes the newly built jewish temple, and exalt himself as god, that the chinese and northern russian forces with some support probably from india, pakistan, north korea disturbes the antichrist a great degree. (Daniel ch11). But by that time it is too late, all the forces of evil, together decide to meet up at Armagaddon, and china moves in to the armagaddon as one of the last superpowers to challenge the antichrist, and on its way kills a third of mankind with its nuclear weapons. It seems the sleeping giant sleeps all the way to armagaddon, China may be a devouring gaint, but it is still sleeping, but it only wakes up at armagaddon. Hence, for me china is not really a threat to the world. The Real threat according to me, is the Technologically proficient nations of the west which includes America/ Great Britian/ Canada/ France/ Italy.etc. because it is out of these nations the antichrist rises and controls the world, especially after the rapture, these western nations should contain the most godless people on earth, we had seen recent airstrikes in syria by US, UK and france, 7 more young longs should make it a perfect 10. Hence, what we see today though prophetic are temporary and are less lethal than the final deal (the Beast Kingdom) – comprising of the western nations who have the technology to control the whole world.

I agree that the Beast will come out of the western world but that does not happen because they are more godless that the rest of the world. All people without Christ are godless.
The Beast will probably use western technology to control the world but if it did not exist he and the fallen angels would just create whatever they need to control the world. The Beast that comes out of the abyss and his angels are supernatural. They do not need man made technology to take over the world.

If it were only technology, the beast system could have been well established today, but the HOLY SPIRIT (3rd person of the TRIUNE GODHEAD) is the restraining force against this full blown satanic invasion.
