The progressive movement also should be identified as Fabian Socialism. It embraces the concepts of Marxism absent violent revolution to achieve it. The UN was founded on Fabian socialism. Their goal is a totally top down managed world. The globalist plan to control the earth is called Sustainable Development. The plan to put sustainable development into effect worldwide is named UN Agenda 2030. The global socialists (fascists) intend to control the world and they will use governments, elitist controlled corporations and religious groups to help them set up the totalitarian system. Free speech and free thought is already being outlawed wherever the socialists are in control.

The Chinese fascist system is the model that most secular elite want for all the world. Most governments in our world have already drunk the UN sustainable development Kool-Aid and are complying with the directives. The exact details and the timing that will bring in this humanist counterfeit kingdom called Babylon the Great in the Bible are debatable, but the progressive movement undoubtedly is how the world gets there.

Global progressivism already runs most governments, large corporations, world religious, the education systems and media. Even if there are temporary setbacks to the “progressive” agenda, this leftist big government authoritarian movement will eventually take the world to Antichrist tyranny and Armageddon.

This progressive social justice movement is a satanic counterfeit attempt to replace God’s Kingdom on earth. They believe humans can work together to solve all problems and evolve to divinity. The progressives believe they can create a utopian kingdom through human effort. I keep warning people about leftism because its humanistic evolutionary concepts are unscientific, unbiblical and antichrist. Those that believe in humanism deny that individual salvation comes by trusting in Jesus Christ. We are already hearing certain Christian leaders talking about the concept of collective salvation and as we move toward the final satanic world system this heresy will increase. Other world religions already believe the concept.

The progressive movement with its collective salvation and social justice concepts was designed by Satan to oppose God. Progressives believe humans are basically good evolving beings. Most believe that Jesus was just a more highly evolved person that humans should strive to emulate. Becoming a new creation in the body of Christ through the blood atonement on the cross is just nonsense to religious humanists. They actually see born again Christians as the enemies of the earthly kingdom that they are trying to establish. The collective salvation proponents will soon persecute born again believers thinking they are doing God a favor. There is nothing new under the sun.

Make no mistake, the Church is not going to take the world for Christ. True Christianity was never winning the war against evil in this world. Jesus will return to deal with evil Himself. God’s people have been persecuted by Satan since the days of Cain and Satan will be allowed to persecute believers in the true God until the second coming. Even in the days when Christendom ruled the earth, Satan controlled most of the leaders of Christendom.

Now, in these final days, Satan is once again using government and religion to get his own elite into power. The foundations for this world tyranny are already set up. The way progressives are evilly progressing, these control freaks will fully be in control of the globe by the 2030’s. The only thing that may set global tyranny back for a couple of decades is a civilization reset on a magnitude of the Black Plague. I suppose such a mass extension event could happen as a result of a nuclear war or an earth directed solar EMP.  However, even something like that would only delay the progression to global tyranny for a very short time. Mankind has a fatal disease called sin.

Whatever the case about that, I still believe that Jesus returns at the year 6000 to start His Kingdom Age. Writings from ancient times support the 7000 year/week in which God deals with the fallen human race. We cannot determine when the six thousand years since the fall of Adam will be completed because our calendars are off. Even so, it seems likely that the Lord was crucified at the end of the fourth millennium and the fifth and sixth millenniums make up the Age of Grace for the Gentiles. If that is the case, year six thousand comes around 2032. After that comes the thousand-year Sabbath or Kingdom Age (Rev 20).

I would be remiss not to mention that I have seen some teachings that could make the end of 6000 years being as late as 2070. That premise is partly based on creation occurring after the usual dating of it being around 4000 BC. Such late creation daters also might claim the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD marked the end of the fourth day rather than the crucifixion. I have not been able to determine how people like Dr. Ken Johnson believe creation was as late as 3950 BC. I cannot add up the chronologies in the Bible and come up with such a late date but he does. If someone knows how Dr. Johnson eliminates about 50 years in the usual chronology, let us know.

Even though such a late dating for creation makes little sense to me, I think Dr. Johnson’s dating could allow for interesting solutions to certain Bible prophecy dilemmas. For example, the prophecies about Babylon would seem to have a greater chance of being literally fulfilled in Iraq. Fifty years from now Iraq would have a much larger population and because of its oil much greater wealth. There is also the prophecy about Egypt’s diaspora for forty years. Maybe it was not fulfilled in the past? The prophets also tell us that Elam (now part of Iran) suffers a similar fate.

Dr. Johnson’s says ancient writings indicate to him that the 3 kings removed by the Antichrist will be Egypt, Libya and Sudan. That makes little sense today, but Africa’s population is projected to double by 2050. A later fulfillment then the 2020’s better seems to support the kings of the south prophecy. Dr. Johnson also teaches from his research that there still has to be a few more defense ministers in Israel before the end and Israel and Syria will have at least two more wars before the tribulation. All of these claims would be unlikely to happen in just a decade, but forty or fifty years is another story. Nevertheless, I am not saying that Dr. Johnson has these things correct. It seems to me that he reads in stuff to various ancient writings found.

Since I started my website twenty years ago I have thought the tribulation would not start before the 2020’s. I took some heat from early date setters using claims of Mayan cycles, blood moons and dates from a fig tree. I still believe the best way to date the end of the age is by looking at all major world trends and then projecting when these major world trends could lead to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. When I wrote the above articles twenty years ago I thought the trends collectively pointed to a 2030’s fulfillment. My view has not changed. Only sounder new information could lead me to think differently.

One of the clearer newer signs today seems to be the leftist progressive movement toward globalism and totalitarian tyranny. I fail to see how the world gets much beyond 2030 without a cabal of control freaks taking it over. However, like I said, a population reset could change the equation and delay the world tyranny for a short period. In either case things will not go well for people dependent on what happen in the world. Whatever the case about the timings, as the world progresses toward the 2030’s, wise people will keep watching for the Lord’s return.

  1. The problem is we just don’t know how long Adam was in the garden for. Do the 6000 years start with the the expulsion from the garden or not? I think it likely does. We also know the earth had different lengths of a year due to celestial events, so the 6000th year is impossible to know precisely.

That said, we know a solar year has likely varied from 360 days to the 365.25 days we have now. If Christ will indeed return by the 6000th year of mankind’s self rule then we may be able to place that time between a hard upper and lower limit. This could be done by taking the 31500 days that result from the difference in year lengths and dividing it by 365.25. This comes to 87.5 years. Of course with overlapping reigns of kings and not knowing the exact ages of the genealogy of Noah it could be a couple decades longer….

In conclusion, we should be able to say the 2nd coming is less than 6087.5 years (plus the unknown amount of years of age discrepancy) from Adam’s expulsion from the garden. Hopefully that made some sense.

  2. Interesting article, Don. I’ve generally thought the 6000 years were from the beginning of creation, but beginning them at the fall seems to make sense. It appears that God operates under a 360 day year regardless how we measure days today. Also, doesn’t He measures time according to the cycles of the moon and not the sun? Wouldn’t that make a difference as to how this 6000 year period is calculated?

  3. Hi Jim and Doug,

I would think the dating would be from Adam’s fall. The week of millenniums then would be until the restoration of all things.

The calendar dating problem is a difficult one to solve. The dead sea scrolls suggest the Pharisees corrupted the calendar. After all, the Talmudic Jews say this is 5768 or 69. The preflood Enoch calendar is based on 364 days but nobody knows how they adjusted the difference between that and the solar year. Even the solar years could have changed in the catastrophic days of the flood, the long day of Joshua or when the shadow on the sundial went backward.

  4. according to some prophecies like Babylon being rebuilt again seems to tell me that all this might be further in the future, maybe dr. johnson is right.

we simply can’t see the future so we will never know

  5. Thanks Don, great insight as usual. I find it interesting that some on the left recently stated that we have 12 years to fix everything. Agenda 2030 would culminate around that time. Also of interest and perhaps just coincidental, 1967+70=2037. Subtract 7 and you’ve got 2030. Who knows? I also tend to believe that we could be on the verge of a massive technological breakthrough not seen since the industrial revolution, of which Google may play a major part. All of this tech along with spiritual forces working together for the Beast. Remember when Nimrod had everyone under his control? Nothing could stop them from accomplishing their goals….except God himself. It will happen again, this time with unbelievable technology to help. Undoubtedly this will help expedite the closing of many gaps in my opinion.

  6. Thank you Don for continuing to write and inform….sure does seem like time is changing its demeanor and I have been wondering if there is some kind of time warp involved as well with all the tinkering going on? I don’t see how our people could withstand another 50 years beyond 2030!
Even the heathens will rely begin to rage….

  7. Hi Don,

I’m in agreement with 6000 return falling in the early 2030’s. The date I’ve settled on through my own studies is 2033 but could go to 2037. I’ve read that there might be as much as a 4 year perturbation in our calendar. Wish I could find the study I had read years ago.

I find it fascinating, that progressives have this collective fear of world ending calamity, coming soon, which parallel our own biblical studies. I believe they have this sense due to being a creation of God, that all humans know, yet they reject. That they are being warned, but don’t know the true source.

  8. whatever the case is, it can’t be longer than another 40 years.. anything beyond that is just too far out

  9. The fact that the bible speaks of being in the “last days” ever since the death of Christ seems to lend credence to Jesus’ crucifixion occuring at the end of the fourth day (4000 years) like Don mentions.

I feel too many things point to the 2030s for it not to be an important time period. That said there are other prophecies that seem very unrealistic for them to occur any time soon. Sometimes I think we have another 15 years sometimes I think we have many decades.

  10. Don,

What is your thoughts on why so many things seem to point to the 2nd coming in the 2030s, yet certain important events seem many years away? They can’t both be correct. It’s very confusing.

  11. Hey Don love you’re article and I agree with alot of what has been said. From what I can tell we’re coming to a close. I don’t know if it’s just me but something feels immanent and soon. I am not a physic or have special revelations but it’s just like a knowing feeling that I can’t describe. But I also feel that the Lord is patient not wanting any to perish but something you said about the tares choking out the wheat feels like it’s a real possibility. Kinda off subject but I don’t know if anyone else saw it. China is doing a State sponsored religion sorta..you can be Christian but can’t have anything to do with western christianity. Also heard they have Christian’s and muslims in a camp for a reeducation?????anyway keep looking up Trucker Greg

  12. Hi Jim,

I don’t think any prophetic events have to be many years away. This was even true in the first century. All can be fulfilled within just one generation. I do not think people grasp how radically things will change after Satan is cast out onto the earth with his angels and sets up himself as God on earth. The fact that world trends now point to the 2030’s just tell us how much easier it will be for Satan to set up his kingdom once the one that is hindering stops hindering.

  13. Don, good article. I note that there is some comments concerning the rate of change that will be occurring. I, personally, while watching and hoping to hear the “come up hither” command, haven’t really given the 6000yr thing a lot of thought. I think that is unknowable, but we have “signs of the times” everywhere. That said, things will change fast once the rapture occurs. The “restrainer” being removed may result in a rapid change. The other thing you have not mentioned in a while are the Nephilim. As in the days of Noah, they may be back too, if they are not already among us, but restrained. After the Rapture, I think things will rapidly happen, even the rebuilding of Babylon. But we who go will see it from above.

  14. don you made a good comment above, by the 2030’s technology will be way better than it is now so if the rapture happens by 2030 and satan starts his last 7 years everything could happen very fast with the satanic supernatural power.

  15. Hi Mr. Koenig, I saw a video from Dr Ken Johnson and he calculates year 1 as being 3925 BC, and minus the 6000 years ends up at 2075 AD. I’m sure you have seen the clips on youtube as well. He seems to be very exact on dating events in history e.g. Noah’s Flood happening on the equivalent of our Halloween, and that there was an exact week between the boarding of the Ark to the final Flood. I will try and find a way to ask him about this (the 3925 BC as year 1)- its so interesting that i have to know lol.

  16. Hi Mike,

I have heard Dr Johnson but I still cannot figure out how that late date can be compatible with the chronologies that exist in the Bible.

  17. Hi Don, great article…

I have expressed the thought of there being three groups who are planning a world controlling ‘caliphate’.
    1. Economic: as seen clearly in the European Union and the unelected European Commission (countries without borders, George Soros etc)
    2. Social: Bernie Sanders and his international ilk.
    3. Religious: Currently Islam and Jihad.

I can see the rise of Islam being used by the other two but wonder how they think to control such a force if it takes political power to any great extent.

I wonder if the rise of another Charles Martel might end such a religious tyranny, and can imagine a backlash (war) against Islam being the equivalent to a “civilisation reset on the magnitude of the Black Plague”?

Such a backlash would free Israel to do the same in her own neighbourhood (Psalm 83 answered)… and on into the future of the Gog invasion and the beast of revived Rome.

It seems that at 77 years I am unlikely to participate in the Rapture event, but who can know… either way I am destined to be in the presence of our Lord and the fear of evil is circumvented by such a thought.

  18. Hi Brian,

In my opinion, any civilian reset would have to include the West for there to be any delay past the 2030’s

When the end time signs and wonders begin there will be a paradigm shift in all religious. All that do not believe in Jesus will come to believe in some kind of universal God. The problem is that any God without the Son (who reflect the Father) is Satan.

  19. Don like you stated, the rapture is imminent. I also believe in the gap theory and figure that it may cover several years maybe even decades. I know that many people believe that after the rapture everything falls right into place due to the Restrainer being removed, but maybe this allows enough time for a rerun of Noah’s day to play out. However, I don’t know how the world would survive that long because of technology, specifically as it relates to weapons of war.

  20. Hi all,

This speech at the World Congress of Families in Verona Italy is worth a listen, because of the statistics Dr. Steve Turley gives, which fall in line with the coming formation of the Harlot. I found it most interesting to say the least.

I regularly listing to Turleys twice daily video’s, on the rising national/ populist movements around the world. In other words, the backlash from the right.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAEgpl7VYs8

  21. Hi David,

I used to think there will be a backlash coming from the Christian right but Christendom itself has moved so far left that it would just change from secular directed leftism to religious directed leftism. Progressive leftism would still rule the globe. I will watch the video when I get some time.

  22. Thanks Don, perhaps backlash is not the best way to phrase it, but I agree, leftist progressive totalitarianism will prevail. I had been wondering how a world wide religion could be so all encompassing, and the stats I heard seemed to bolster the idea that it wouldn’t be very difficult in the near future. I had thought that people were becoming less interested in religion, not more so. But Turley showed the opposite to be the case.

  23. David,

Most people on the left are so dumb that they will believe whatever the MSM and their college professors tell them.

  24. Hi David L,

I finally got around to listening to the link. Dr. Turley makes good points. Religion is not going away, it is on the rise in most areas of the world. Even the Devil knows that humans need a higher power to believe in.

One problem I see is that evangelical Christians are falsely assuming that a surge in world religion is something to celebrate. Religion without the real Jesus can be extremely authoritarian and oppressive (i.e. Islam). I also can see religions uniting on common themes to counter all the destructive permissive foolishness of the post modernist secular humanists.

The religious surge taking place now is the making of the woman on the Beast who rides the false Messiah into power.

  25. I also watched the video and found it very informative. I don’t think I’d want to live in a USA governed by 300 million Mormons lol.

  26. The generations from Adam to Jesus are recorded in the New Testament. Why speculate as to whether it starts at the beginning of creation, or fall of Adam?

  27. Another thought that goes through my mind has to do with those who make up the tribulation saints i.e. Revelation 7:9-14. Just who are they? The Church has been taken home so they are not Christians. Are they just those who refuse the mark of the beast… In today’s climate who are the most likely group of people to reject such totalitarianism.

What group in the world today (other than believers in the Lord Jesus Christ) are likely candidates. I suggest people who love freedom and reject tyranny and who will be awakened to the realities of the God of Israel in the fulfilment of Psalm 83 and of Ezekiel 38.

Those who hate God today are not likely to love him under harsher events.

  28. Hi Brian,

They do no not go in the rapture of the Bride. The great number are those converted to believe through the message of the two witnesses, the 144,000, God’s angels and the judgments. I think it will be about half of those living on earth at the time. The number will probably contain a majority of those confessing God today living under the three Abrahamic religions. The Antichrist message will be very much Eastern New Age concepts.

The wheat will be gathered to God and the chaff will be gathered by the Antichrist and False Prophet for rebellion and be burned.

  29. Don,

Given your timeline of the 2030s, I’m wondering what your thoughts are on the timeline of history based on the discrepancies between the timelines given in the ancient Hebraic texts versus the Masoretic texts. This video [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI1yRTC6kGE ] discusses those differences, which when applied takes creation back about 650 years from what even the KJV version of the Bible would indicate, which is translated from the Masoretic text by the way, not the ancient Hebrew text. The video is entitled “Were the Pyramids Built Before the Flood” and deals with discrepancies in the known timelines of the patriarchs from Enoch to Peleg. Very interesting information that would seem to be crucial in determining the 6000-year ending point.

    Tim

  30. Hi Tim,

I understand that the Dead Sea Scrolls validate the Masosretic Texts. Until real experts agree differently that is my position. One of the reasons why I am asking about Dr. Ken Johnson’s dating of creation is that he is a real expert on the ancient texts.

  31. Hi Don,
Interesting article. In regards to your comments on Dr. Ken Johnson,
this person has written a lot of books. He uses some non-Biblical
books such as the book of Jasher, the book of Gad the Seer which gives
is said to give the chronology from the day of creation to 1948. Frankly, there is so much material he has written that it is hard to stay with him. I believe the chronology we have in the Old Testament is just fine. Del

  32. Hi Del,

I have some of his books but still have not figured out how his dating fits with the Hebrew chronology. Maybe he has not figured that out himself and just goes by extra biblical books validated by the Dead Sea Scrolls along with their timings.

Obviously Christians do not need to know the date of Creation, but it would be nice to know when the seventh day is about due to start. There is a big difference between 2030’s and 2075. The late date does not seem feasible unless there is a civilization set back.

  33. Hi Mr.Koenig, I have asked him on Facebook for the 79 year variance he notes on his website when he compares the different timelines (his being 3925 BC vs the more common 4004 BC calculation) he hasn’t yet responded but i will update asap.

  34. I was thinking about whether or not the Parable of the 10 Virgins would be applicable to this general dating question. The Bridegroom returns later than expected – it made me wonder if the 2075 date (or a date later than the 2030’s) could be expected. But, if one was using the 4004 BC timeline and 1 day was a 1000 years, then we would have expected Christ around 2000 AD and the delay to the 2030’s would fit.

  35. Mike,

You haven’t accounted for things like calender changes, birth dates of unknown months, and co-reigns.

  36. Hi Mark,

Yeah, the SBC leadership and the seminaries are getting “woke”. It just shows that “Christian” hirelings also are being given over to a reprobate mind.

  37. Hi Don!
Have you ever read The Genesis Flood by Whitcomb & Morris? In its Appendix II Henry M Morris talks about the date of the Flood. He concludes that the Flood came 3000-5000 years before Abraham. If he is right it refutes the popular Ussher’s ”7000 year/week” theory. Ussher said the first day of the completed creation was October 23, 4004 BC. If that theory is right the date of the coming of the Lord could be counted. According to Bible Father alone knows that day.

  38. Hi Samuel,

I have not read it. I do not think the flood was that long ago. I also do not believe Ussher got the date of creation right. I do believe that the 7000 year/week theory is valid but not from creation it should be from the fall. I will be posting an article later today dealing with some of the dating issues.
